The longevity of Ashes' success is impressive. In about 12 hours it reached another 50,000 more views on YouTube. It is certainly the biggest success of Celine's career since I Drove All Night.

Would the sales of the Courage album be higher if Ashes was one of the songs included?

I wonder why Ashes was not included. Could it be a copyright issue? Usually all her movie songs have been included in her albums (as far as I know). Celine probably didn't think of asking Ryan. :lol:

Although I’ve never particularly liked “Ashes”, it definitely should have been on the album. As others have said, it fits the theme and would have brought more sales and streams to the album (plus we would have one more music video).

Sony is probably keeping Ashes for Celine’s next greatest hits album.

This was posted one week ago & it has over 2.3 million views. I noticed that it made a lot of people go & watch the Ashes music video again — because there’s a lot of new comments for the Ashes music video.

I agree... it should have been on they album.

It would have helped the album streams a lot.

Regardless, I'm very grateful Celine has another widely known English song.

Hopefully she'll add it to the Courage tour once they relaunch.

And I really like the song!

Sounds like a Celine Dion song vs Celine trying to sound like someone else.

It pains me that from all the songs Celine release in like 15 years, in album or single, this one is the one that got some attention.

Exactly. I don’t care much for her “acting career” but she needs to sing more songs for huge movies. It’s one of the few ways her songs can still achieve great commercial success.

Out of the whole video TC has to choose a thumbnail from the far end of the video! That is so dumb she doesn't look good throughout the video but hey! The video is her most popular video of last 2 decades. 97M

Good question. I wonder how many people who view it barely knew of Celine or hadn’t heard of her at all.

100M are very near hehe. Gosh I love how this song is really op there with her biggest hits. Now Celine only needs to treat ashes equally like MHWGO, IACBTMN, ABM etc

I think this is her "true hit" if we see the likes of her videos, Ashes has the most likes, not just that it is the only video of Celine song having 1M+ likes. I'm Alive, Las Vegas MHWGO are also close to 1M likes.

We need another surprise like Ashes soon, I was so excited when it came out of nowhere. Good song and great publicity! Hopefully the movie Text for you is a hit and it helps the OST to do well :)

Usually all her movie songs have been included in her albums (as far as I know).

Sadly, "I have to dream" has never been available otherwise than in the end credits of its movie...

It's not hearing the song that they like. It's the comedy of watching Deadpool dance to the song. It's hilarious. And the fans are watching it over and over again.

It's probably a combination of both. But without Deadpool, Celine wouldn't have got that much attention. And without Celine, Deadpool wouldn't have such a great song to dance to with sexy heels. It's teamwork! :D

Actually, this song got popular too because of Avengers. They said that this song should be the ending song because it really fits the story of the movie of the avengers being turned into Ashes.

I know several people who actually really like the song Ashes... and they don't even know or care about the funny music video.

These are people who haven't liked a new Celine Dion song for many years.

So I think the song has resonated regardless of the music video.
