The concept is in the video Celine is not really present on stage. It was her hologram that singing and dancing around with Deadpool.

True. There are also songs with more than a billion views on YouTube.

At this stage of Celine's career almost 90 million views is very good. Just compare with the views of Imperfections or Courage music videos, both under 10 million in a year.

In two months Ashes will probably reach the 90M mark.

I'm actually more impressed with the views of ''Encore Un Soir (Official Audio)'', almost 75 million views on youtube, despite the fact it's a french song, there is no music video and the song is not tied to an American blockbuster movie. It's a shame Celine recorded such a boring song for Deadpool, I bet if it was something more catchy, more modern and better produced, it would have already surpassed the 150 million views.

That is your opinion: this song is epic and the build up to the chorus is great and even though that movie was okay-ish i felt emotion seeing the images and hearing Celine with the grand orchestral arrangement. No this song is far from boring imo. Btw - better produced?? What do you think was not good? I totally understand if you think it is a boring song but saying the production could be better??

These are the kind of songs, epic moviesongs where Celine is in her element.

Imperfections will sound dated after a while but Ashes still will sound epic. That is my opinion.

With that said, I think it's totally fine that she's a legacy artist now. The fashion stuff keeps her "relevant" and her monumental global success in the music industry will always allow her to sell out concerts (along with preserving her voice). It would just be nice for her to be a legacy artist who still has some present-day success. Like Ashes!

 

If you look at her contemporaries, it is SO rare for them to get the amount of streams / views that Ashes has received. Recording this song & music video was a genius Rene-level move on Celine's part. This and the fashion have been the most successful moments since he passed. And I think we're in store for more!

The longevity of Ashes' success is impressive. In about 12 hours it reached another 50,000 more views on YouTube. It is certainly the biggest success of Celine's career since I Drove All Night.

Would the sales of the Courage album be higher if Ashes was one of the songs included?
