"Unison" album - Official Topic

Thanks! I figured they would be professional as they are with anything else, but I have seen where you have requested/alerted them to anniversaries or fan wishes. In those cases, do they respond and in your/our favor? This is what I was asking.

 

In regards to requests for songs to be added to Celine's shows, or requests for "special editions" of albums, I have been met with silence. However, that doesn't mean they aren't listening. I do believe they are reading my messages. However, it takes more than one fan to request something for it to become reality. One of my favorite songs of Celine's is "Super Love," as my handle here and at TeamCeline suggests. Do I think my one request for her to perform that song live is going to get her to do so? Not a chance. However, if TeamCeline/Celine herself started receiving thousands of requests for that song, THEN they'd/she'd "have" to start paying more attention.

Such a good album with some underrated gems on it.

 

I'd love to see her perform songs such as "If Love Is Out Of The Question" again and I agree a DVD / Blu - Ray release of the Unison VHS would be awesome! Someone make it happen!

i would love for her to include the original recording of thats just the woman in me - she said she received that song for the unison album but it felt to old for her at the time - I'm guessing she gave it a go to record so it would be interesting to see the recording of that

I agree that they should come back to different older songs from time to time... Unison is really missed!

 

I wish they released a dvd edition because of the anniversary. They did anniversary editions of D'eux, TAST or ANDHC and yet there are more things to do... Especially that Unison VHS or Live in Memphis is no longer available anywhere...

yeah I'm still hoping for a 25th anniversary edition Would be cool to add the "didn't made it to the album" songs or the raw demo tapes, and a DVD including the Unison special or 10 ans Deja or so... Together in a special package with postcards or photos and a mini photo book with more pictures of the shoot! I mean if Sony did it for the best-selling French-language album why not do it with the album that started off her career in the English speaking countries and beyond

Knowing that this anniversary probably won't happen this year as it's August already, what could happen next year? 2016,any anniversary? Just wondering if we could start a campaign. If we do it early enough maybe there's a chance of succeeding! But probably something where celine wouldn't have to do anything /much for it to be released. Not talking promo cos we say yes to any promo lol. Something that Aldo and Co could organise for next year. Any ideas? FIY was my initial thought.

It will be a shame if they don't at least do something to acknowledge the 20th anniversary of FIY. It was such a huge album for her career.

Phil Spector owns all the rights to those recordings and he's in jail for life. They 99.9% won't get released lol. Celine, Rene nor Sony have any say about it.

Why anybody wants anything to do with the Spector songs after the way he treated Celine is beyond me. There is a reason why her team hasn't fought to get them released. I say let them remain in the vault. The less promotion that horrible excuse of human flesh gets the better. Besides, the songs' unavailability gives them a great amount of mystique which would be gone if they were to become available to everybody.

Not a big concert, but only one with a close number of people (who come first can get the tickets... And normally who can get the close number of tickets are the real crazy fans!)... So the idea is a party with crazy fans wo know all the songs of the album and she should only sing the songs of this album with all those songs she never performed!! It would be awesome! Oh yes... A Concert like that should be done for every single album and record all concerts to put then on CD and DVD

They need to do more specials, for sure! For people like Carrie Underwood, Maroon 5, etc they ALWAYS have a special or special concert that's A. On TV or B. On the Vevo channels... Why they can't make better use of those outlets is beyond me lol. I think Sony sometimes thinks her "glory days" are over lol... She's still freakin amazing!!

Sony/ her team should have put the Pandora concert on her vevo straight away! They are still underestimating the power of digital media AND the power of Céline!

 

(Side note though: every song in these kind of special concerts should be LIVE )

 

Even a little retrospective interview (video) on albums that have a special anniversary would be awesome to see
