"Unison" album - Official Topic

I thought it would be fitting to bump this topic as today is the 20 year mark of Unison.

I'm so confused. I know Wikipedia isn't the most accurate site, but it lists Unison as being released on March 26, 1990 in Canada and September 11, 1990 in the States. So are these dates wrong?

I think September 10th 1990 was her first show at the Tonight Show with Jay Leno...maybe it was a big boom on the next day and everybody was talking about her?

I would love a 20 years Unison re-mastered and addling songs that didn't end on it when it was released.

"Listen to me" Calling You" etc.

 

Unison is a classic album and Celine's voice was so strong and powerful still is.

It's strange that she never performs any of the songs like WDMHBN' the last time she did

was at Olympia 1994.

Maybe the song is to difficult? i dunno.

Hmmm.... Well, if a special edition will be released for the "Unison" album, I would like the original edition be avilable too.

 

 

And for bonus tracks would be the songs that Celine recorded which didn't make it to the album and music videos of the singles.

I would love a Unison Collector's Edition! That would be awesome! I still, however am dying for an album will all unreleased tracks (I'm still very angry at Phil Spector for keeping those Falling into You tracks, but I'll guess he can't do much with them in jail).

We all know they are fond of releasing crappy re-releases that makes no sense. A re-release of Unison WOULD make sense, hence we should not expect it.

 

 

I really hoped for a re-release of this album together with the TC album a couple of years ago. I thought they would go well together, the two gray scaled albums (well TC ain't completely gray scaled, and this would include OH but I am seeing through my fingers with that). For some reason Taking Chances bounced me back to Unison in some way and made me see it in new light. I used to not care much for Unison but around the TC era I was really starting to appreciate it. What was once horribly corny and 80ish became somewhat cool and right.

 

Sure a remastering is very much appreciated if a re-release of this album would ever occur. But then they need to kick in more effort than what they've done with previous remastered material.

 

 

 

Bonus material - let's face it - aint their thing. But a good remastering would be not too much to ask for and quite in the right place.

 

A re-release of this album is the first re-release of theirs I welcome. Bring it on!

Can you imagine Unison being re released next year for the 25th anniversary as a double album? Cd 1 the original (and any extra songs that were dropped from the album, if there were any), and cd2 new recordings of the entire album, all re recorded new vocals and production - the whole caboodle! !!!!! Hell yeah!♥
