Katie Posted August 14, 2018 at 12:18 PM Posted August 14, 2018 at 12:18 PM That link is not mine, no. I included the $5 million concert in Montreal in my numbers, not sure if they did in that list. I think her pre-2000 figures are underrated, overall she is around 1.5 billion USA till today Quote

Jeanette Posted August 14, 2018 at 04:26 PM Posted August 14, 2018 at 04:26 PM So do we know if she was ok at the end or teary like last year. I feel so blessed to have witnessed her final show of Live 2017 in person and on my home turf too. I’ll say something for this tour, although Celine’s social media has been red hot, the updates/live streams etc from fans attending has been really poor, we got so much last year and practically zero this year 😂 2 Quote

sebulba Posted August 14, 2018 at 05:13 PM Posted August 14, 2018 at 05:13 PM Maybe it was Rene who call the shots whether she will lipped this song or not. And rene knows what note she's weak so they do something about it (i remember i heard it in the interview or documentary).Yeah that makes sense.Although I'm no singing expert or anything near but is To love you more that hard to sing?I feel there is a lot more songs that she has sung live that sounds way more difficult. Also thinking of it, To love you more didn't really that well at charts if I remember. That maybe play a part in what songs to sing. Just guessing... Quote < >
Jeanette Posted August 14, 2018 at 05:22 PM Posted August 14, 2018 at 05:22 PM True, not much footage this tour. But on the plus side, the reviews and comments have been amazing 😁 They certainly have, I haven’t seen one bad review from the fans who attended. She certainly knows how to put on a show and command an audience no matter what people think about setlists etc. She really is something else live. I love her!! 2 Quote
wjd Posted August 14, 2018 at 05:32 PM Posted August 14, 2018 at 05:32 PM I think her pre-2000 figures are underrated, overall she is around 1.5 billion USA till today I think on the contrary, it is likely I've over-estimated her pre-2000 figure ($280m feels quite high). Dividing her total gross by her ticket sales leaves you with an average ticket price of around $38 - which feels too high for the early part of the decade. When I have time, I'll devote it to coming up with a more specific figure. 2 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

I would say out of all her songs she has ever playbacked from start to end i would say tlym is one of the harder....more so than bylm, iacbtmn, mhwgo, fiy, wdmhbn. Subtly IMO the hardest is Declaration of love. I think the playback was original key and even the lone vegas performance was -2. The key is high throughout. Not sure why this song wears me out to sing along too lol. Quote
ivo Posted August 14, 2018 at 08:32 PM Posted August 14, 2018 at 08:32 PM The tour went by so fast. It was a good one, but I prefer the 2013, 2016 and 2017-tours. 5 Quote Amsterdam 18-06-1997 - Amsterdam 14-06-1999 - London 10-07-1999 - Antwerpen 14-05-2008 - Antwerpen 21-11-2013 - Las Vegas 10-10-2015 - Paris 09-07-2016 - Arnhem 23-06-2017

angelil78 Posted August 14, 2018 at 08:56 PM Posted August 14, 2018 at 08:56 PM If I'm going to rate the 2017, 2017, 2018 tours it would be like this 2016, emotional, tribute to René2017, Let's have some fun tour (French part)2018, Let's show them the classics And for me 2017 was the best one, then 2016 and last 2018. But I did attend the French part of the 2017 tour so that does influence how I feel 3 Quote

Also thinking of it, To love you more didn't really that well at charts if I remember. That maybe play a part in what songs to sing. Just guessing... Well, I think she has performed this so many times because it is actually a good concert-type song: it has a peculiar intro, a great violin solo with the bridge, high notes and a bombastic ending. And it is pretty hard: it's a very long song which requires a stable belting range, stamina, agility and lots of breath support. I think you must be 110% warmed up to nail it! It is probably as hard as I surrender and Us, and on the contrary you don't really need much of vocal acrobatics as in Purple Rain or Love can move mountains. Basically she stopped performing RDMH as it was supposed to because it requires too much, but at the same time she can still do Think Twice or The reason and give it justice because it isn't much demanding. Let's say that the stamina factor plays a pivotal role in performing this songs Edited August 14, 2018 at 09:01 PM by neocshs Quote http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs638.snc4/59806_1286422260657_1833187247_552295_3401062_n.jpg http://www.celinedionitalia.com/banner.png VISITATECI Facebook - Claudio Liggi Youtube - neocshsYoutube - CelineDionItalia93CelineChannelForum - My works about célineCelineChannelForum - neocshs's covers CelineDionMultimedia - my blog

SuperLove4Celine Posted August 14, 2018 at 11:39 PM Posted August 14, 2018 at 11:39 PM While I’m glad many fans enjoyed themselves, as a follower of Celine’s for decades, this tour did absolutely nothing for me. I’m glad “Unison” and “To Love You More” were brought back, but to not include at least one “new to the stage” song is pretty underwhelming. (I don’t count “You’re The Voice” as it’s a cover.) Hopefully, if she tours next year, things will be different. 2 Quote
smw Posted August 15, 2018 at 01:18 AM Posted August 15, 2018 at 01:18 AM I thought this tour was DELICIOUS Celine seemed to really enjoy herself and I'm thrilled for the fans who got to see her! Celine's looking fantastic these days too. So happy she's happy and I feel incredibly lucky to follow a singer who's been consistently STELLAR with her performances / vocals for all these YEARS Can't for the remainder of the year ------ a new album?!! What else might happen?! 6 Quote
