It's really stupid! In any category they should look at a full year. Not the last 2 months Although I wasn't expecting HDAMLF to be nominated, I think the movie should be entitled to a few nominations! Shaun Posted January 23, 2018 at 10:58 PM Posted January 23, 2018 at 10:58 PM Can't say I am surprised given how Celine has been snubbed by "the industry" in the US for about 15 years now. Billboard seem to still love her but that's about it. Whenever Celine sung a song for a movie in the 90's automatic Oscar nomination lol. Now? Hmmmm not so much. 1 Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.
Nmj Posted January 23, 2018 at 11:06 PM Posted January 23, 2018 at 11:06 PM I’m not surprised. “how does a moment last forever” to me isn’t a great song it’s just average, I’m sorry I don’t think deserves a nomination, just like I don’t think “unfinished songs” deserved one either. However “Then you look at me “ should have won and was snubbed. 1 Quote
Xpresso Posted January 24, 2018 at 12:18 AM Posted January 24, 2018 at 12:18 AM Well it's not her best movie song that's for sure. And we can't really think of the Oscars as being part of the music industry... They are not the same voters. She will be back on the Oscars eventually. 1 Quote

jpatdeleon09 Posted January 24, 2018 at 05:01 AM Posted January 24, 2018 at 05:01 AM (edited) They planned to release Then You Look At Me as a single but it was cancelled because the movie is flop. I think I Want You To Need Me is the one that was released as a single instead of Then You Look At Me "The Bicentennial Man film, released on 13 December 1999, and starring Robin Williams, became a flop and the single was cancelled." That's another mistake that Sony/Céline's team commited, to make the choice of a good song dependant on the success or not of its associated movie. If the movie doesn't work, does that mean the song won't too, or that it's not good enough to be defended as a single? Surely IWYTNM or Live were a better choice... That's the stupidity surrounding this team for many years. 2 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
