But Mary J Blige is nominated for best supporting actress so Law will be going to the Oscars ;)

I don’t know why BATB has been so snubbed tbh

Céline should perform at Oscars even if the song is not nominated. Show them that they were wrong! Edited by jpatdeleon09

the good news is that we will not have the title on the album of this fact ..

What a bummer! One of the issues is that the film is already old by now...

It's always better when the film is released not too long before the nominations are announced. Voters have a short memory!!

It's really stupid! In any category they should look at a full year. Not the last 2 months

Although I wasn't expecting HDAMLF to be nominated, I think the movie should be entitled to a few nominations!

Well I'm not saying they just look at the last two months... but films released at the beginning of the year tend to be forgotten.

Maybe they shoud have Oscars every six months. :giggle:

:2guns: What a shame!

At least B&TB got two nominations in other categories (costume and production design).

After all thoses years... i’m sure there is an award mafia.

Grammys, oscars, golden globes, etc...

They all have interests... financial interests

I wouldn’t be surprised we found out all abt it in the near future

At least Evermore wasn’t nominated either! Think we’d have all been fuming if it had, more than we are about no nominations at all 🤣

And with that, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the song removed from the Vegas setlist. I’d be pleasantly surprised if it stays. Edited by SuperLove4Celine

Can't say I am surprised given how Celine has been snubbed by "the industry" in the US for about 15 years now. Billboard seem to still love her but that's about it. Whenever Celine sung a song for a movie in the 90's automatic Oscar nomination lol. Now? Hmmmm not so much.

I’m not surprised. “how does a moment last forever” to me isn’t a great song it’s just average, I’m sorry I don’t think deserves a nomination, just like I don’t think “unfinished songs” deserved one either. However “Then you look at me “ should have won and was snubbed.

Well it's not her best movie song that's for sure.

And we can't really think of the Oscars as being part of the music industry... They are not the same voters.

She will be back on the Oscars eventually.

Then You Look At Me were snubbed because the movie is Flop. Even the movie.. it's one of the most underrated movie ever in the 90's

TYLAM was not a snub. It wasn't even a contender based on the success of the film and soundtrack itself.

No that was Live (For the one I love). TYLAM was the "B-side" to that single.

That's another mistake that Sony/Céline's team commited, to make the choice of a good song dependant on the success or not of its associated movie. If the movie doesn't work, does that mean the song won't too, or that it's not good enough to be defended as a single?

Surely IWYTNM or Live were a better choice...

That's the stupidity surrounding this team for many years.
