Basically her team thinks that Celines fans are from the old generation and they go to the store to buy dvds. They are not really internet savvy and don't know how to do much on the Internet besides use AOL to send email and check facebook.

 

Which is fine, I can live with that misunderstanding of her fanbase - but what prevents them from uploading the odd video to YouTube? It blows my mind that they still haven't uploaded MHWGO from the BBMAs - that would be at 10-20m views by now. And if combined with the sales increase it had, it might've re-entered the BB Hot 100 if her team weren't so silly.

That's a bit worrysome. I'm sure people that work for/with her have tried to tell her this but I think someone influential really needs to put a little something behind their words to make them have force. Personally I love it. I'm one of the weirdo's who could listen to her talk for as long as I can hear her sing. But I realize many fans are not like that. And, I worry it could turn non fans or potential fans away.

I love her talks too. I went to Vegas back in 2013, and, while the show was amazing, I was disappointed that the entire thing was scripted then. I knew all the speeches from YouTube videos. I would have loved some spontaneous talking then. Also, she has great comic timing.

I'm not sure where you're reading reviews, but I looked at the 10 most recent reviews of the Vegas shows on Yelp, and all were gushing about how amazing the show was. Her show has 4.5 stars overall on Yelp. And lots of people like the talking - these were some quotes from reviews: "This didn't feel like a big Hollywood production, but rather a fireside chat where she genuinely wanted to sing to the audience and give you a glimpse into her life, past and present." She does have great comic timing and a certain degree of that off-the-cuff taking is absolutely endearing and fabulous. But 20+ minute rambling soliloquies are not. She ends up losing the plot and after a while it tends to get really awkward. And it's the one criticism I heard most while filing out of the Colosseum last time I saw her - people all around saying, "yeah, she can sing but boy does she ramble; I didn't come to hear her talk", etc etc. So yes, I'm in agreement with those saying she needs to tone it down. I wonder how self-aware she is about it and whether there's anyone around these days who can tell her how it's perceived.

it depends if you want to see the glass half full or half empty. i think this is great that it ain't as scripted as before, it shows more confidence in herself.

It's true - she needs a balance. But I wouldn't want to go too far into being totally scripted.

Oh absolutely. If she's going to talk, it's got to be off-the-cuff. The scripted stuff is generally nauseating.

I know I'm always watching my recording of the show. That version was amazing. I think I prefer it to the original!

To me, I think a lot of talk is nice scripted or not. I love her personality. I don't wanna go back to TC era when everything was so planed. Sometimes It feels so unreal. Although I have to give a credit to the Hugh production and those dresses . Oh boy, she was gorgeous!!❤

It's true, but I was laying emphasis on the capacity now that we have the final number of tickets sold and grosses. Anyway, unless you seat on the ground level everybody gets a better view of the whole show if the stage is in the middle.

Look at this... I like how they film this concert. I know Celine's Team can pull off better.. Even the sounds.. The production was amazing.. like more studio (like A new day).. If they will release a DVD it should be like this or A New Day CD (HQ sound/Studio Quality)
