The strings were different last night in My Heart Will Go On! I wonder if they are testing a new arrangement for BBMAS!

In the video you uploaded, the first clip of MHWGO. It sounds like one group of string players played a different arrangement while the others played the normal one. Specifically right after "the door, and you're here" and "go on and on". It's very subtle but I can definately hear a difference.

I sure did love Celine ending her Vegas show with such a simple, sweet, stunning song like Over The Rainbow. It shows her ability as just a pure, beautiful vocalist.

 

It was so meaningful back when she was still singing it because Rene was still alive -- and she was simultanesouly hopeful but also slowly letting him go.

 

I think the show could still "end" with The Show Must Go On because I understand the meaning that has for Celine. But I think there could be a bookend/encore of something like Over The Rainbow -- just to leave to audience remembering they're in the presence of brilliance. And the audience leaving in tears / overwhelmed by her ability is always a treat. The "mob" that rushes down the stage could remain standing there, too, and just be up close to her as she sings a simple stunning tune. That would be SO special.

 

Celine's TONE in Over The Rainbow reminds me of SSDA. Just pure brilliance. The woman doesn't have to belt to be brilliant. I would love songs like this on the new English album.

Funny you should mention that but when I went last year in June, we got to be at the edge of the stage for Over The Rainbow!! I can't even explain how beautiful it was to be that close as well as hearing such a beautiful song!! I saw her is September 2016 and my show was the last show with Over The Rainbow! It made me sad to see that song go because as much as I love the show ending with TSMGO, I think its too fast paced to end the show with, it doesn't keep us calm, we end up leaving super overwhelmed (either way I'm overwhelmed with happiness) but it's too fast paced to end the show with. I miss MHWGO and OTR at the end!

So if someone says " This was the best part(my heart will go on) of the worst concerts I've seen too bad I was pretty excited to check this off". Does that mean they didn't enjoy it

Anyway, just watching the Eurovision Song Contest.

Some of the visuals are stunning, and what do we get in Vegas? Windows opening, and chandeliers made by a child... :P

So I just finished speaking to a person that attended the show last night. She did not enjoy it at all she said that Celine talked way to much and the set list was awful. We talked for a little bit.

 

Not sure who you talked to but I was there last night and Céline was ON FIRE! Amazing energy and the audience loved it - usually Friday crowds are a bit more subdued, but not this one, although I did have to start the dance party at the end because no one was getting up!

 

They also now allow people to get up and come close to the stage during "I'm Alive".

Ohhh so that wasn't a photoshopped pic of the two guys!!? Wow! She really loves the energy of the mosh pit!

 

How does the audience know to come up that early? Does she say come close?

Well sure it has gotten awful. Im honestly happy to hear a review from a regular person stating this. It has gotten watered down and boring compared to august 2015. They've removed 5 songs, increased lipping, no original songs of her own are in full besides mhwgo and incredible. The talking has increased and gotten to the point they could bring back a song or two. She is wearing herself out vocally exhausted for the most lame and boring set of songs I've seen performed.

 

On one hand, I like that she seems much less scripted than she typically does for Vegas.

 

But. They need to work on more than just her speeches and dresses. The SHOW element has not had much positive change to it since August of 2015. It is way to long,it's getting monotonous. These are musicians. There is no reason why we can't see significant and multiple changes each leg. Literally zero excuse other than laziness. They can't seriously look at the list of changes in the past year and a half and think they've done satisfactory can they???

 

I guess I should really just quit my complaining and accept that Celine quite simply isn't the kind of artist that cares about her own music. She likes to sing. Particularly anything regardless hers or not. Unfortunately this trend will only continue.

While there will be sold out changes will not be! The show in this version can not be called boring. The show is boring for us because thanks to instagram we see the same thing millions of times. We were heard in 2015, added more Celine songs. Immortality, A new day, I'm alive, That's the way. We wanted it, we got it. The energy of Celine is amazing !!! And that's the best thing she can do for Vegas! The more we can get only on tours! So we are waiting for the Summer Tour and enjoy the fact that there is! Thanks Celine!

FYI - they changed the rules for the M&G. Its a lottery system and you can only be chosen once in a lifetime.
