Not sure if I'm reading in to things, but security was just standing in the pit in front of the stage and it looked like they were planning something. They were talking about having security in certain areas and it sounded like they said "she's going to walk through."

Again, I could just be speculating, but...

I had two good friends see Celine in April and both are big fans - both were very disappointed. They paid for great seats, dead centre about half way back of the stalls. Their biggest criticism was the endless banter that was nonsensical in parts, the lack of choreography apart from MHWGO (they said she just sang ballad after ballad wandering the stage) and while there were beautiful moments they just thought there was no flow.

These guys saw A New Day about 10 years back and thought that was so much better for a Vegas show. Just one opinion but they felt a artist of Celine's caliber deserves a much better production. Thought I would share here for your thoughts

Just got back from the show - nothing new although she was HILARIOUS tonight during her banter. I have full audio of both shows which I'll put up in a couple of days!

Also, not sure how much has been posted here, but there is a TON of new merch. They completely overhauled everything. Here is just a sampling:

The tote bag is my favourite!

There is also a poster, a black version of the red "rhinestone" tumbler, some new tshirts with song titles and a women's hoodie that has the same "power of love" logo as the mug.

The setlist in the program is an insert. When you buy it, they put the insert in so they can reuse the programs if/when the setlist changes.

Not sure who you talked to but I was there last night and Céline was ON FIRE! Amazing energy and the audience loved it - usually Friday crowds are a bit more subdued, but not this one, although I did have to start the dance party at the end because no one was getting up!

They also now allow people to get up and come close to the stage during "I'm Alive".

So I just finished speaking to a person that attended the show last night. She did not enjoy it at all she said that Celine talked way to much and the set list was awful. We talked for a little bit.

Well sure it has gotten awful. Im honestly happy to hear a review from a regular person stating this. It has gotten watered down and boring compared to august 2015. They've removed 5 songs, increased lipping, no original songs of her own are in full besides mhwgo and incredible. The talking has increased and gotten to the point they could bring back a song or two. She is wearing herself out vocally exhausted for the most lame and boring set of songs I've seen performed.

On one hand, I like that she seems much less scripted than she typically does for Vegas.

But. They need to work on more than just her speeches and dresses. The SHOW element has not had much positive change to it since August of 2015. It is way to long,it's getting monotonous. These are musicians. There is no reason why we can't see significant and multiple changes each leg. Literally zero excuse other than laziness. They can't seriously look at the list of changes in the past year and a half and think they've done satisfactory can they???

I guess I should really just quit my complaining and accept that Celine quite simply isn't the kind of artist that cares about her own music. She likes to sing. Particularly anything regardless hers or not. Unfortunately this trend will only continue.

I kinda like that. Not that I wouldn't mind meeting her many times but there are actually many people that have had the chance to meet her a few times. It gives us that never have met her have better chance to meet her.

I really hope I get the chance. And well yeah I'll probably be sad that I can't again if I ever will be granted a meet & greet.

About the show, it makes me sad that not everyone will like her show. It will always be like that. But I really hope they will change the show to make it more appealing.

I saw the show 3 times in 2011 and sure it's changed a lot. Some parts in the show today I wish they had in 2011.

The show today does make me want to do a 18 hours trip to Las Vegas. The A New Day show made me want to do that. I did that twice and I wanted badly to do it again.

But to change the show, it needs a lot of planning and rehearsal. With the schedule now, at least until fall, it will be difficult. Céline will have about one and half month off or so between the tour and Las Vegas this fall. I imagine that time will be used to either rest or for the English album.

Unless they use the English part of the tour to bring new stuff to Las Vegas..

But overall I think most people like seeing Céline in Las Vegas. I don't think we will ever find a 100% happy audience. Not even at A New Day

I agree with those saying she talks way too much. Yes, it yields some cute & funny moments, and it's nice to see her improvise as it's really the only part that's different from show to show, but she drags on way too long and let's face it, she's not that great at it..

Given that its a relatively short show, and that ticket prices are what they are, she really should be doing more singing and less talking; people don't go there to hear her yak on on and on. And that seems to be the chief complaint coming out of the theater - when I was there to made a point of listening to what people had to say when filing out and the main complaint was that she talked far too much.

I agree with you, she talks to much. For the average people, they want to see her perform.

I would buy tickets to her show even if she talked the entire time and did no singing lol. I think she would sell out at least 1 show in Montréal and Paris if she only talked. But not more than that and not a stadium. But that will never happen.

I love her talk but I think the majority of people going to Las Vegas are just average people, not hard core fans.

She needs René to tell her to zip it and start singing

I don't think he was hired for the Vegas show, per se.

That, plus his son died tragically a few months ago. Methinks he had other things on his mind than revamping Celine's current Vegas concert!

Forget Gilles..... Go to Franco Dragone again!!! OMG!!!

Word this Franco is a nightmare to work with. I think he totally stressed Celine out. Not too keen on seeing him back for the sake of her sanity!

I think they removed it because it was tilting/reclining (or how ever you say it in english) and it was difficult for the performers to perform on.

Raked? I think they can make it work by doing it straight by laying a straight temporary stage in that raked stage?... I've seen them doing that in Elton john's concert. Remember? The Red Piano? Around A New Day era. I don't know what it's called but i'm gonna call it Anti-Rake stage.

When she talks in french during her show, does she drag it that long? I mean sometimes when she started her story in english, the flow of the story wasn't as smooth as when she speaks in french. Dont you think so?

I'm a HUGE HUGE fan of the A New Day show, I'd love to see that again or something like that. It was like a whole box of chocolate for the eyes, you didn't know where to look.

From videos it seems like just just speaks a few words in French, specially if someone "screams" to her in french from the audience?
