I go to Vegas to see Céline on jun 5 I hope a new program or T-shirt or something new for the last 3 show ! And maybe new song ...

I liked the first part of the show in 2011, had a concept, so it could not change much time, they could have changed the whole show 3 years later, but they just changed some songs, then I think it became a mess, it did not fit with the show, orchestra, stage, Lady gaga has a show in Las Vegas, are two different shows emq ue she performs on different dates, Celine could do the same.

I think Ceasar never wanted to change anything.

The revamped show is becoming a simple show compared to 2011-2014. They should be creative again. Bring back their efforts like they did during A New Day to TCWT and half of Céline’s 2nd residency shiw (2011-2014).

Serious question.

If a DVD of this show is coming out, if the only option was to have one version so no combinations at all, which period of this show would you like on DVD?

For me it would have to be the period when she walked through the audience singing Immortality and did the hologram duets.

Agreed!! I also *LOVED* TSMGO during that period. The set list now is very...bland, if you ask me ☹️ I’ve got tickets in May and would love to hear her revisit some lesser-known songs (Immortality, Only One Road, Refuse to Dance, etc) but I’m not holding my breath!

Nah! She’s proud with AND and I’m sure she wants it again to have a big production. A big family again. The bonding with the dancers. She wants to have fun also. I feel she’s not having fun with her new band (orchestra people) than her dancers during A New Day.

Céline just need a show like A New Day that can bring her energy back again to perform. Unlike before with dancers. she’s really having fun at the stage.

They introduced a new form of theatrical entertainment. An ambitious show. A performance art. Innovative. State of the art technology. Who wouldn’t be proud to have a show like that lol the efforts to have an amazing show that will not be forgotten and may inspire other artists like Britney, etc. to perform at Las Vegas and to have a show like that.

Enough with the simple shows. Sooner or later people will get bored.

If you want simple show. Get a venue like Edison Ballroom. That only requires a simple setup. Small stage. A band. 2 LED screen at both sides. And focus at her vocals only. doesn’t need to walk around on stage. Just sit/stand and sing 17th century. OMG

Celine, yes, had fun with the dancers etc, but she was over 10 years younger then and (not only that) was absolutely EXHAUSTED after AND. She was the thinnest she had ever been, didnt even look that upset when it ended in comparison to say... TCWT.

she even said herself in the Oprah special for the 2011 show, she couldnt do 5 nights a week, a huge show with all that physical, vocal and mental demand again. Which is why they opted for the simpler show.

I said exactly all that about a simple show and lack of creativity since the very first day of the 2011 opening. 8 years ago. No need to study rocket science to know this show was absolutely a step back compared with AND. I needed only one show to know this second show was completely a scam in terms of production -_- The visuals were nonexistent. And not only that, the songs were also a scam in the first run of the show. A show called "Celine" and she performed more than half of the show random covers never associated with her? Right.

Difference is, thats Madonnas brand. Up until A New Day Celine never did anything out the box, the same thing. Madonna has always been a shock value, huge production, dancer, visual performer. Its her thing.

Celine didnt want to do it again. If she wanted to, Celine would’ve been different, but she WANTED less visuals, She wanted it to revolve around the voice, what she was known for, she wanted a 31 peice orchestra and didnt want to do it 5 times a week, 120+ shows a year. Not to mention she still kept a Vegas aspect, a huge runway that lowered onto the stage for the bond medley, a hologram duet and a huge waterfall effect whilst being suspended in mid air by a platform

And theres a difference between going to see huge productions and actually wanting to do them. Celine could go see a freak show and yet wouldnt want to do a freak show. Celine simply is happy with what shes doing

And btw, relating it to Pepe. Theres a huge difference between doing a 3-4 minute, pretty slow and moderately difficult dance routine whilst lipping once a show and sprinting around like a maniac, keeping up with dancers, doing alot of choreography, flying around in the sky on invisible cables, singing with holograms whilst she does a handstand and riding around on a giant robot like Gaga does. Especially considering Gaga is around 20 years her junior. Not to mention celine probably still suffers with her back issues, pinched nerves dont just “go away”

The thing is : Celine simply doesnt want to, if she did she wouldve signed up for that the second time, or shown more of that when she came back in 2015 or on any of her summer tours. Shes happy. Can she not just be happy with what shes doing?

You do realise that the name doesnt just represent her, shes said many, many, MANY times that the songs she performs mean something to her, they made her and got her through hard times and made her enjoy life.

At Seventeen : got her through her teenage years being bullied at school and by her local media

Michael Jackson Covers : Her biggest idol apart from Barbra streisand

Queen covers : TSMGO, Renes fav song, LOML, her favourite song, All The Way, her and Renes song.

Bond Medley: her love for those songs and the era / whole bond, old hollywood glamour aesthetic

Open Arms : clearly loved the song. Like is there anything else ?

Somewhere over the rainbow : Obviously means alot to her, she performed it many times along her career, and clearly became a tribute post renes death

Kiss/PR : She loved the songs and they really worked in the show, then when Prince passed it was a very touching tribute.

Besides, one does not simply build the most expensive concert hall in the world with the biggest LCD screen in an indoor venue to just sit down an orchestra and put on display images made with Windows Movie Maker :innocent:

Ahh, the excuses they invented to justify this Vegas show. To say that they were unable to fully take advantage of all the potential and unlimited possibilities the Colosseum offered her to do a great show is just an understatement.

I believe it's been stated that tickets are priced based on demand. The more in demand she is the higher the price.

Prices were already pretty high but still somewhat bearable but went way up when she announced the end of her residency. Not to mention the change to ticketmaster.

But she isn't going to do a huge change to the show in its last legs just because of that.

- Over dramatic? LOL. Toned down? They only remove the flying scene during TFTEISYF due to hernia (which is understandable). Everything is the same. Except the changing of setlists, outfits, THE HAIR (that everyone hates during 2003-2004), makeup, etc.

The reviews from the early show were poor? Yet, around this era it was the most sold out shows compared to the final year. Of course it will get a lot of positive reviews since it’s the final year and better look of Céline compared to earlier ones.

Céline didn’t want again? How can you be so sure? Since her new residency show is simpler. She can’t change it to a bigger prod in just a snap of a finger. That’s why i feel it won’t happen UNLESS Céline has the courage like Rene to take risks in doing big prod shows. But let’s see after this “toned down” version of Her 2nd residency show.

The 2nd residency show is the toned down version of A New Day.

The Madonna thing was just an example since you said she’s getting older that she can’t do “stuff” like she did back in A New Day/TCWT that’s why i brought up Madonna despite the age. Since Céline back in 2017 were flexible enough to do a seductive dance with Pepe despite the age. Imagine almost 50 she can still be flexible.

The 2nd residency show again is the toned down version of a new day. That’s the concept but in 2015-recent. The revamped show is.... the 2011-2014 was better since it has the original concept of this 2nd residency show compared to the recent one.

I’m sure she wants a big prod again. See! Look how excited she was saying all things about her new BIG PROD tour. And I’m sure she wants to amazed the fans not just with her voice. She wants to give an amazing show.

We're talking about a man who was named in the Panama Papers, charged with tax evasion, fraud and money laundering, had his assets seized and is in the midst of a multi-year restructuring of his company. Sounds like he got a last minute lifeline debtor-in-possession financing to avoid an all-out bankruptcy, though most of his employees were let go in the process.

Certainly not someone she needs to be associated with right now!
