Chances are if they do plan to film it for release, they will change the set list a little and change costumes to avoid confusion with the Tokyo DVD

If a DVD of this show is coming out, if the only option was to have one version so no combinations at all, which period of this show would you like on DVD?

 

For me it would have to be the period when she walked through the audience singing Immortality and did the hologram duets.

The first show of 2015.

Hair on point, setlist still full of great songs.

A 'live' or 'new' note in ABM, first time MHWGO live, and as encore 'somewhere over the rainbow'

 

That would be the most obvious show to release. This one now is just a Asia tour version and for me has nothing to do with this residency.

 

And the one from 2011 would be amazing because that one was just created for this new residency, but I doubt they will release that one because it's years ago.

the first leg of 2011 Seriously though, it would be sooooo awesome if we got 2011, august 2015 and 2018 on DVD, cos that will show the biggest changes in the show, but that'll be wishful thinking

I know wishing for a blu-ray set that covers all versions of this residency is way too much to ask for. So, if I have to chose one, I'd pick the 2015 one with the 007 medley as a bonus feature.

they did use hologram for ATW and IICD for the first week or first few shows but after they cut it just use the screen........

I like the 2011 version since its original theme was a mix of timeless hollywood classics along with the favs of the fans. Better visuals (Moment Factory), special effects (Hologram), snd many more.

 

I like it because it’s the most polished show of Céline’s 2nd residency show. Everything is perfect. The visuals, her voice were in top shape (it doesn’t need an auto tune and dubbing), etc.

 

And i could hear her perfect singing of “Mr. Paganini” with that perfect scatting of that song.

When I went to the show they played the video from American Idol. Céline introduced the video, Very weird to show a video during a concert. After the video Céline entered through the audience for Immortality.

I also think the best shows of the second residency were the very first ones. It was so classy and elegant and had more spectacle and a lot less talking than she does now. Not to mention her voice was crystal clear perfection in 2011!

 

The only things I would've changed about those initial shows:

 

-I never loved the Michael Jackson tribute (but it worked!)

-I would've loved to hear her sing Diamonds are Forever and Declaration of Love!

-The medley was a bit too slow-paced for me and I didn't like how they brought up the house lights. It felt awkward and when she made everyone stand on their feet during this part it felt forced and like we were all at a nursing home or something because it just felt sluggish and not fun.

-The most crappy part of that show for me was right after the Stevie Wonder duet and how she was offstage saying "I'll be right there! Just a second! I'm not a hologram, promise! I'm walking... Walking... Almost there! Here I come...! Hope I don't trip!" It was so cringe-worthy to me as an audience member. I just didn't understand why they didn't fix that transition moment. And it stayed that way for FAR TOO LONG! Still gets on my nerves thinking about it. Why couldn't they have played some music / given her some time to walk back onstage??? Never made sense to me.

 

The second residency, for me, will always be those initial shows. That was the vision. And I'm so glad we have the Oprah special as a souvenir.

I never like the James Bond part, although the 2011 one feels more Vegas than the others, but it has too many covers, I never a fans of her live covers in Vegas
