gafsa Posted February 10, 2019 at 02:44 PM Posted February 10, 2019 at 02:44 PM She told me that if it's wasn't for vegas, she would've been retired since 2003. End of story. Quote
Popular Post scielle Posted February 10, 2019 at 02:56 PM Popular Post Posted February 10, 2019 at 02:56 PM Vegas was one of Rene's most brilliant moves. He foresaw the death of the CD and the rising importance of live performance, and struck a deal while the iron was hot - and then proved it worked. Vegas cemented Celine's reputation as the premiere performer in the business. It totally redefined the industry landscape and is probably her most lasting legacy to the music business. That, plus Vegas ensured her longevity. Without it, she would have burnt out and faded into irrelevance a long time ago. The relative routine of it kept her sane but at the same time active, involved, perfecting her craft, while also feeling like a well-rounded human being who has lived a life. There's no way she could have continued at the 1998/99 level - the industry & audiences have a short attention span, and she was already so over-exposed then, many had a knee-jerk averse reaction no matter what she did. Plus, most importantly, she didn't want to continue at that pace.A healthy distance from constant recording, promo, and touring gave the general public a chance to evaluate their Dion disdain, and now, they like what they see. Meanwhile, she's ready for a change and clearly looking forward to whatever she does next. It was healthy on all fronts. So yeah, with Vegas, Rene did the best possible thing for his artist, and his wife. 19 Quote
Popular Post Xpresso Posted February 10, 2019 at 03:32 PM Popular Post Posted February 10, 2019 at 03:32 PM Of course she was a legend in the making in 1998-99 but she was still too young then. But there's no denying selling out Vegas for all those years shut up many bad mouths in the industry... and new found respect for Celine! No matter how many great Oscar or Grammy performances she does, some people need tangible facts - such as Vegas and her numerous sold out tours. 9 Quote
nuts2you Posted February 10, 2019 at 04:13 PM Posted February 10, 2019 at 04:13 PM Three tickets for sale remain in the front row of the Ceasars Palace Colosseum for Celine Dion's latest show in Las Vegas on June 8th. They are yours, provided you are willing to pay around US $ 6,000 for each seat. Or, if you prefer, $ 7886 Canadian.Do the math, it gives $ 15,772 in Canadian money for a pair of tickets. The price includes ticketing fees of just over US $ 600 (approximately $ 800 CAD) per ticket. You're keen to see this concert, but do not have a bank accoun...t as well? There are free places in the mezzanines. Attention all the same, the least expensive is detailed, with the expenses, to 1521 US $ (2020 CA $).These exorbitant prices are posted on the Ticketmaster website, where 53 seats were still on sale Friday morning. They are explained by the ticketing giant's dynamic pricing policy, which inflates prices when demand is high.Discouraged fansWhat discourage even the most ferocious admirers of the diva. According to Line Basbous, president of the Red Heads, Céline's Quebec fan club, several fans have simply given up on the latest lap of their idol in Las Vegas."Very few hardcore fans will go. I only know two or three. Everyone is waiting for prices to go down or for an American tour, "she says.First row Surprisingly, the best deals (if you can say so) are on the resale sites. Several seats in sections further away from the stage are available for $ 500 or less.Except that these notes do not interest fans of the singer, says Ms. Basbous. For them, it is before or nothing. "90% of those I know prefer not to go at all, rather than pay $ 3,000 for the trip and go sit in the mezzanines. ""What's happening then," she says, "is that many of us go out to say good-bye to Celine in Vegas in small groups, scattered from March to June. "Then hoping for a world tour that, according to what Billboard magazine has revealed, earlier this week, could be announced once the Las Vegas residency concludes.► The revenues from his two residences in Las Vegas (2003 to 2007 and The revenues from his two residences in Las Vegas (2003 to 2007 and 2011 to 2019) would exceed 860 See More [/url]Le Journal de Montréal 19 hrs Il reste 3 billets à vendre dans la première rangée pour le tout dernier concert de Céline à Vegas.Ils sont à vous... pour près de 8000$ canadiens pour chacune des places. 'I only know two or three'...don't think so I don't think they are speaking for all fans. But Line is right, there are many fans that aren't going because the tickets are expensive. She's literally saying what I would have said if a reporter would call me. And The Red Heads are known by the media in Montréal so why not contact them? Just like the media in The Netherlands would call the Céline Dion NL fan club if they want to hear from fans. Edited February 10, 2019 at 05:50 PM by angelil78 Quote

True but she just said that she only knows 2-3 people. And that could very well be true because she doesn't know everyone. But of course more hard core fans are going. I know a few and I also know fans that are going in the weeks before because they can't afford the final shows. Quote

ordinary fan Posted February 11, 2019 at 04:12 PM Posted February 11, 2019 at 04:12 PM (edited) There isn´t one outfit which I don´t like, but a few favorits, for example the blue MHWGO dress, than the MHWGO dress with the cape (the recent one), the golden one she is wearing in the ashes part (recent, it looks more than amazing in their most recent instagramm live post ), the green short dress from 2015/2016, the silver dress (purple rain part, 2015, 2016), the white dress from 2011-2014 and the MJ one... , but enough of it now Edited February 11, 2019 at 04:13 PM by ordinary fan 2 Quote
Kristinaz Posted February 11, 2019 at 07:48 PM Posted February 11, 2019 at 07:48 PM For me most of the outfits from the original run(so like 2011-2014) also loved the silver dress during Purple Rain part. I love the gold dress right now during Ashes. I also really liked the Yellow dress she wore during like ABM and accoustic medley in 2016. The only outfit I hate is the gold suit she wears now during the opening. 7 Quote

stevo Posted February 13, 2019 at 11:51 AM Posted February 13, 2019 at 11:51 AM Just watched A New Day for maybe first time in 3 years, all the way through. How epic it really was. The staging, the visuals...and she was just my age when she kicked it off. I’ve never ‘Céline’ in the flesh but it just seems so much smaller than A New Day- such a big spectacle. If she ever comes back to Vegas- and she probably will eventually - it has to be with something mammoth. 4 Quote
