This is FUN and refreshing.

 

The pink dress for MHWGO was lovely. But this dress is STUNNING and I'm so glad they brought it back. Far more elegant and epic.

omg guys! either she felt not ready or forgot about the high notes, she didn't go for the high notes where she supposed to during CHFIL. she later, resang the phrase again! LOL

I really love this grey dress, it always reminds me of Elsa from Frozen. It'd be the whole look if she braided her hair too.

 

And I really really love that she is giving these wonderful and heartfelt speeches at the end of the show (more than the encore). Before when she left immediately after MHWGO the show felt incomplete, in a way, because it left audiences on a high. I like this way of ending the show so much more.

 

If she dodges the high runs on CHFIL I don't mind, I like the little changes she's made to it. Those changes make the song more emotional I think, and goes well with the speech she gives beforehand.

I'd love it if she went into WDMHBN after THE POWER OF LOVE.

 

I'd also love for her to sing a couple jazz songs again. And consider a different encore. As much as I LOVE Can't Help Falling In Love -- I think it worked better on tour. Whereas back when she sang OVER THE RAINBOW, it was dreamy and perfect. I also loved WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD in Vegas. Simple, pretty songs that aren't super vocally challenging for her after a full-on concert!

I know we’re all so used to it, but the MHWGO performance really is epic. She is such a master. And the Galadriel dress suits it so well- I also think the pink dress was flying out and getting soaked!

Jeez, was beginning to think there was no show on last night cos this thread is soooo quiet haha!

 

Had a dream last night that Celine announced a Queen covers album at this upcoming interview next week, with proceeds going to this United Nations against world hunger campaign. Definitely would seem this interview has something to do with this new ambassador role hence why that woman stated 'her mission' on her ig post. I know a lot on here don't want any more covers but that would be amazing for me, a dream come true literally!!

 

Would tie in well with her out of the blue photo on social media proclaiming her love for Freddie Mercury, although I get that she was only stating that she was going to see the movie lol.

 

Sorry for a slightly off-topic post, but I saw Bohemian Rhapsody over the weekend, and ever since, I cannot stop thinking about the idea of Celine doing a Queen cover album someday! I know we all go back and forth on the covers debate, but she has always been vocal about her love for Freddie Mercury and Queen, she's performed multiple Queen songs in her shows over the years, and I think she is one of the few vocalists who could do justice to their songs. (Plus, it would be an excuse to re-record TSMGO and do that song justice with some amazing production and vocals.) Critics would probably say that she can't pull off true rock songs like that, and I'm not saying she should necessarily cover "We Will Rock You" on an album, but I think well-chosen songs from their catalog could be amazing from her ("Love Of My Life" ). If Celine were ever to do a full covers album dedicated to one artist/band, I think Queen would be the one to do.

I think this is a fun idea and Celine would sound fantastic on many of those songs --- however I saw some not-so-nice comments when Celine posed with a poster from the film. Some Freddy Mercury fans seems to not love Celine very much so that might cause some issues.
