That opening really is Epic!!!!

 

Im actually pretty darn impressed with what Ive seen of this leg of the Vegas show!

 

I totally agree.

 

TPOL has always been my obvious choice for opening song and so glad she’s doing it. I saw this setlist twice in Australia and while I’m baffled by the exclusion of IDAN, for me it’s excellent.

 

I’m also mildly baffled (but in a good way) why she is singing YTV in Vegas. While it is the unofficial Australian national anthem, I can only imagine she is going to include it on her new album, otherwise why not sing Immortality or something Americans know.

 

And one more side note: that new gold dress with the plunging neckline... WHAT A BABE!!

Just caught up on this topic from last week.

 

It’s past being funny now.

They had a few months off and they come back with the same setlist and costumes as the summer tour, oh sorry “one” new one!

 

And the same bloody speeches from before the tour.

I feel bad for those who bought tickets for next year as they will definitely not change anything with this show now before it wraps.

 

I’d be more then happy for her to have a 4/5 years off after this album drops as the drive, artistic direction and wow factors from her live shows have gone since last year.

 

I’m a huge fan but it’s all just getting boring now.

Come back when you are ready to surprise us in regards to live shows please.

I personally prefer this show over the past "Vegas" show. We get "To Love You More," "Pour que tu m'aimes encore," "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" with the live ending, just to name a few. In the matter of 2 shows, they already changed an outfit. There's no way to know that "they will definitely not change anything with this show now before it wraps." I'm also sure you're not really suggesting that she should cancel her shows and come back with something that pleases you. But I can understand some of your frustration. I'm super excited for my 6 shows booked next year! I personally throughly enjoyed seeing the "Asia tour" on June 8 and 9 since I live in the US. So no need to feel bad for me at least. I can go without Paganini, Quand ca balance, and the fully-lip synced "TPOL/IACBTMN" medley. We all have different tastes. Edited by brendanm999

If you're NOT sitting in the front orchestra -- are you prevented from joining the mosh pit?

 

I can't tell if they block people in the rear orchestra...?

I don't know if they actively block you (I imagine they don't because most security personnel shifts to the stage area), BUT I have to warn you to not get your hopes up.

For my second show I was in 6th row (aisle seat) and I barely made it there (I mean, I did make it there, but there were several people in front of me...and I'm fast).

Just goes to show how many big fans are in the audience, because as soon as she finishes TLYM, people were already storming up :) She hadn't even left the stage yet.

Damn, I have 5th row aisle seat. I'm gonna have to develop super speed.

 

I think a lot more hardcore fans have booked shows for this run.

Celine is a great animator, she knows how to make any situation funny.

So this current show is still 'Celine', right? I mean the promotional poster no longer has the show's classic logo, but at the same time, they never announced such a drastic change that would affect even the name of the show...

Unfortunately I think Sony doesn't release Live in Tokyo 2018, but it will be Live in Vegas 2019 with the same setlist as on the Asia Tour. We'll not see I Surrender, Where does my heart beat now, Show must go on, beautiful blue dress for My Heart Will Go On ...

As Ronny83 just mentioned, the very first shows were professionally filmed for the OWN Documentary. That alone could make a DVD release. A more logical thing would be to release a double DVD containing the two versions of the show, but I'm not sure that they have professionally filmed the second version (2015 - 2018).

A more logical thing would be to release a double DVD containing the two versions of the show, but I'm not sure that they have professionally filmed the second version (2015 - 2018).

 

 

Apparently for the news footage etc, they recorded the entire 1000th show in Oct 2016. Pretty sure someone mentioned them recording the premiere in 2015 for Rene to watch.... dont know how true that it

Yeah, they were filmed, just like January 12, 2016, but it doesn't seem like there were enough cameras/crane to put together a quality DVD.

When in Bangkok for the show, they showed a lot of footage from the 2015 show.

And it looked good.

 

Would love to have a DVD from 2011 and 2015. Even when it's not professionaly filmed with cranes etc.

 

It's not that the Tokyo release is that stunning even with camera cranes.

What weve seen has not been the 4k quality that was presented on TV direct from the source, what we may get on DVD will be as opposed to the rip offs on the internet.

 

That audio from Tokyo is stunning though, Scotts a master :wub:

Im pretty sure if you watch the part of the video that was filmed from the back where Celine finishes TSMGO and the balloons drop, you can spot a crane on the left handside, poking out

They could easily release the 2011 version on DVD and post the 2015 version of the show on Facebook. Things have really changed since 2013 (When Céline released her latest DVD), but they don't seem to know...
