Has she always come out on the raised platform for MHWGO? I get the feeling they are working on new things for the show (probably for next year during the final shows) & are using the tour set-up as a "place saver".

She always comes out on the raised platform, but the lights are usually still low when she’s coming up. Also, the round platform for the water feature also went up slightly earlier both Tuesday and last night (which looks better IMO, but very subtle lol)

Her voice in every other way is superb, strong and clear but her mixef voice just sounds..... exhausted almost

Well maybe she's putting 200% of her voice into the album recording and this is what's currently "left" for live..

Watching some videos from yesterday's Las Vegas shows, I keep thinking, Celine looks so tired, it seems to me, it's just my opinion, she's saturated with this show in Las Vegas, it seems like ta on the autopilot, show no energy, no life , she needs to go on a tour again, she needs to be more enthusiastic.

 

Another thing I've noticed, she's too lean or it's just my impression, she needs to work out a bit, gain some muscle mass, she's so lean that she's getting older even more than her age looks.

She clearly does not sound her best. Nothing too bad or worrying but her voice sounds tired and congested.

 

I’m not used to talk about this but has she ever looked that thin ? She looks very fragile in all this haute couture but sure it ages her.

 

I don’t care about this show since a long time. Just checking her voice condition but this track list inspired from the Asia tour is the best choice. I also think that The Voice is a nonsense here. That is just crazy how her and her team are unable to keep things as a momentum, something linked to a special moment which makes it charming. Trying to force the momentum here out of its context is as usual ridiculous.

Also I’m sure her schedule is much different when she isn’t performing, she probably stays up late etc; so she is probably like anyone else who goes back to work after time off, it’s an adjustment. I’m sure she’ll be energized soon.

Bit late to the party here, but I have just got back from travelling for the last few weeks. I started in Vancouver, drove down the west coast and then flew from San Francisco to Vegas for the first show back.

 

I hadn't been to the Vegas show since 2015 and I am pleased that I went again before it ends next year. I really enjoyed the show, but it was quite slow at the start and I would agree that Celine was maybe a little tired or at least less energetic than normal. She did mention being nervous a few times as well, which might account for some of that. I am sure she will pick up as she gets back into it though.

 

The highlights for me were Recovering, Ashes, Unison and To Love You More. I think that I have been spoiled by the 2016 and 2017 tours where the set lists have been a lot more interesting.

 

There were only really two negatives for me though. The second dress seemed to be annoying her and she made frequent jokes about it. I have to say that the tour outfits looked just as bad for me in person as they did on the tour. It is a shame given some of the really nice dresses etc she has worn for the show over the years. I hope that they consider changing them before the show ends. Also the Ryan Reynolds speech really needs to go! It's not that funny and it is about 3 times as long as it needs to be.

She could add another 2-3 songs in place of that speech!i think the second dress is the best in the show. I hate the gold suit.

It's true. I wonder what the team around her think about it. Do they not notice or does no one want to be the one to tell her. A few years ago I would have said moving away from the prepared speeches was a good thing, but she does sometimes take it too far the other way. It's the details like this which are very much lacking without Rene.

Before they did it before the acoustic medley with that gone now she had to make time and do it even longer before “Ashes”. It’s a shame tho cause she could easily bring back “Think Twice “ and “The Reason” in that place.

I think, when Celine is indeed bored of this show she really should stop singing the same songs in each and every concert over and over again. when she wants to tour again in say 2021 or earlier, she should make a setlist that contains her new album and reinvent older songs. Madonna for example always makes sure to focus the shows on new music with just a few oldies. That is what Celine should do too. If she does not want to sing certain songs - then just do not sing them anymore

Exactly-that's the key, how they force all things into every next project she does, be it a new album (Vegas covers premiered in 2011 into an album released two years later) or a show in Vegas recyling songs she premiered on tour before

 

The lack of creativity and enthusiasm for doing new things is worrying at this point. Not that I did see this coming since many years ago and still nothing was done to prevent this -artistically- sad situation

 

Will this ever change in the future? I don't think so. Today I have doubts Céline has still the passion for pursuing her career any further We're seeing it each month we lack any news about her current activities, the vast 6-year period it's taking to release a new album, her absolute silence and lack of interviews about the end of her Vegas residence and how she dodges questions about the topic when asked... I'm positively sure she's performing this show today just for the sake of it and simply to complete this contract. It took so long, and now we're seeing weariness all around.

 

Today I'm not blaming her, today I feel pity for her because I think she no longer enjoys this show. In some songs she's barely singing any similar to the original versions of the songs, she just slurs the words

 

Like I said before, this came to a point in which she clearly enjoys the talking speeches more than the singing. That says it all.

I thought the exact same thing. The colourful dress was by far the best from the tour in the summer and would be a lot more practical than say the gold suit or the grey/black dress which actually seemed quite restrictive too.

the problem is that she doesn't care to please the fans with releases, bonus material, behind the scenes footage, rare songs, pictures, even though she could because she has it all recorded in the archives. And in addition there is this boredom that I already mentioned. Either you get nothing at, or Celine with the same songs that she has been performing for years. It's ridiculous but that's it. But that's not enough for me, sorry. And don't even start with the „but she is a mother" thing, because releasing stuff from an artist for fans could happen without her even moving a finger

then I would cut freaking LCMM and RDMH rather than TR and TT. I cannot hear these songs anymore. I'm so sick and tired of them, I find them just annoying

Sorry in case it sounds negative, but Im more than happy that this Vegas show finally comes to an end. First, It's too simple for Vegas standards, and second, I'm just bored and tired of seeing her sing the same songs over and over again in the same setting. There is no freshness anymore. It's a forced program to fulfill a commitment.

 

Bring on a new album, bring on a more interesting show. Stop playing it safe and stop that old and tested approach. Sing more songs you haven't sung that often before in a nice arrangement. If I hear BYLM or LCMM again, I'm gonna scream! Gosh, I'm very happy that she is around, but she and her team need to spice things up. This boring routine that has been going on for years pushes fans away. I'm her loyal fan, but I'm really loosing interest. No releases, no interesting things, nothing. Just a comeback to Ceasers and a repetition of the asia tour. You know, if that's all then I leave and come back only if new music is released. I really don't care to follow her anymore, cause there is nothing to follow

 

I am also glad that Vegas is coming to an end. The last few years have been too much routine, but on the other hand, I understand

her decision. She is a mother of three kids and she took care of Rene, who was fighting cancer. It was a hard time for her and Vegas gave her comfort.

But now she is ready for a new life.

 

I think we will get the new English album in 2019, hopefully the tour DVD + Netflix documentary and the World / Mini Tour 2019/2020.

 

The next few years will be very interesting as a Celine fan. Please don't give her up.

Also, I’m not nessacarly against Vegas, but this SHOW is beyond over with. Celine’s bored, anyone can tell this, I didn’t always think this btw, I think after Rene’s death she clearly enjoyed and NEEDED to be doing this show but now she’s bored and you can tell.

But it usually stops at floor level, here it went up and sloped down like it did in the Bond medley. Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention to this part of the show, I'll go see some past videos of the song.

I've noticed these past 2 shows that she's kind of holding back. Her voice sounding more "froggy" in many instances. I think she's doing this to save her voice.

I am glad this Vegas thing is coming to an end. The tour setlist is so much better than the previous show, but you van tell Céline just wants to be done with Vegas. She is much more artistic When she is on tour. I think we will get amazing performances from her in the years to come. I doubt she will ever go back to Vegas.

I hope she has a real, long break from Vegas and if she ever does come back then there’s something new to offer- she cannot come back in 3 years and sing these songs the same, with LCMM, RDMH and MHWGO finale...something needs to shift.

 

She is a performer, a tourer and she loves to be on stage, but it does seem like the life has gone out of it all in Vegas. Definitely time to end this one.
