Rene was her partner - 50/50 in both CDA and Feeling. Now she's a sole owner of both companies and their respective subsidiaries. Everyone from here on in will be her employee, so yes, of course the working relationship will be very different

 

And her view of it is of course different, too. She's the boss (as she has pointed out); they're there to execute. That's not to say she won't take input (as clearly she has), but she'll never have someone she'll listen to with her eyes closed, watching over her wellbeing - both personal and professional - like Rene did. And (unless she falls on some hard times!), I can't see her ever selling part ownership in either company.

she is a big girl now, she is an example that many follows. How to overcome loss and reinvent yourself . Now she should let go LCMM and RDMH, it would be enough for me and a lot of people. It is one of the last thing she has to do.

Of course just like any other singer, she’d be the boss. She can hire and fire any manager at her choice, but also as an artist she should hire people who actually do what they are in place to do. A manager should be making her appearances, helping improve social media, and be informing the fans of upcoming projects. These people seem to careless about all of that. It’s clear Celine doesn’t care either but that’s why who she hires SHOULD.

 

Anyways, I’m excited to see updates from tonight’s show!

Has she always come out on the raised platform for MHWGO? I get the feeling they are working on new things for the show (probably for next year during the final shows) & are using the tour set-up as a "place saver".

Today they allowed us to watch CHFILWY close to the stage, so I was able to make am amazing video of the entire thing.

Yeah it's great she keeps people who know her around her.

But being a sound engineer for years and now 'upgraded' to a co-manager who's only job is to say yes or no to Céline isn't doing anything for her career.

 

She needs someone 'above' her who will do all the business for her career.

Omg what has happend to her mixed voice ????

 

I listened to youre the voice and she normally does the high ad libs before the chorus’ kick in. they sounded flat,raspy,tight....: just bad. And here too, she knows so she dodged the high note in CHFIL and when the note jump came for the long note it too was extremely weird sounding. Her voice is so strong everywhere else but her mixed voice is seriously concerning

I think she just took the wrong note, as if she had to sing an extra verse, and it would have sounded too bad if she went for the climax

Also, I am not that concerned: her voice sounded actually stronger at many levels, for example all by myself hasn't sounded that good for years. Yet she still does have pitch problems (ashes, my heart will go on).

What I don't like about this new setlist is the show opener with that lame curtain drop: it's been overused for too many years! I loved it with open arms, it didn't make sense with I surrender at the first chorus and I doesn't have a surprise effect anymore with TPOL. Apart from that I am fine with this leg, but I would have wanted them to stick to the original setlist and not this mixture of Vegas, A new day/TCWT and the summer tours.

Although, it is pretty clear to me that Céline doesn't really believe in this particular show anymore, it is like she knows it has been dragged on and on for too much time and that she has to save her new inputs and ideas for something fresh and brand new!!

Very interesting debate here in the last 24 hours! I remained silent because I'm tired of always being the first critic here and of course the first one to being attacked for being critic most of the times, but I'm so glad there were OTHERS this time who broke out and were vocal with their thoughts. Hope the TROLLS in this forum don't spoil this healthy discussion

 

First of all I want to say that I DO appreciate she's included the Asian tour in the Vegas show for the last months. And not only a song but the whole tour setlist. It's a pity she realised this only after 15 years of residency but FINALLY they do get it

 

I'd rather have this version of the "Celine" show before any other previous boring setlist, but if they'll film this last months of the show... that's another story

 

Still I miss some tour songs like Think Twice or The Reason, but we can't have everything as usually.

 

Celine also loves Sia's Songs

but she did not play songs on the official tracklist

but sings only snippets between pause and when She joking .

And really it would be nice if she was singing more of her songs

who did not get the space and stayed on the albums only .

 

Exactly. That's the definition of her random obsession with covers and then the neglection her OWN songs she loves and then she ignores all the time. Well said.

 

Sorry in case it sounds negative, but Im more than happy that this Vegas show finally comes to an end. First, It's too simple for Vegas standards, and second, I'm just bored and tired of seeing her sing the same songs over and over again in the same setting. There is no freshness anymore. It's a forced program to fulfill a commitment.

 

Bring on a new album, bring on a more interesting show. Stop playing it safe and stop that old and tested approach. Sing more songs you haven't sung that often before in a nice arrangement. If I hear BYLM or LCMM again, I'm gonna scream! Gosh, I'm very happy that she is around, but she and her team need to spice things up. This boring routine that has been going on for years pushes fans away. I'm her loyal fan, but I'm really loosing interest. No releases, no interesting things, nothing. Just a comeback to Ceasers and a repetition of the asia tour. You know, if that's all then I leave and come back only if new music is released. I really don't care to follow her anymore, cause there is nothing to follow

 

I wrote my previous post without reading you. You read my mind. Looks like we had a chat for hours before, but we didn't!

 

The comfort zone in which she has installed herself is dangerous. It's been like that since years ago. Too much time without showing any evolution at all in her shows.

 

the problem is that she doesn't care to please the fans with releases, bonus material, behind the scenes footage, rare songs, pictures, even though she could because she has it all recorded in the archives. And in addition there is this boredom that I already mentioned. Either you get nothing at, or Celine with the same songs that she has been performing for years. It's ridiculous but that's it. But that's not enough for me, sorry. And don't even start with the „but she is a mother" thing, because releasing stuff from an artist for fans could happen without her even moving a finger

 

Have we met before?

 

It's a sad situation. The big problem behind all this is the feedback between Celine/her team and her fans. There's absolute any communication at all.

 

For an artist with 30+ years of career at her back, the fact that she doesn't spend even one minute of her days to ask her fanbase what they would like her to perform, it's beyond any understanding to me. With more than 1,000 shows and after 15 years in that place, I think we deserve that chance, don't we? It would be a nice gesture from Celine and it would show she cares about her public. But she doesn't. It's better to play the setlist she just did a few months ago and not rehearse a damn new song. Not to ask anybody what they would like me to sing after 35 years of career. Not to ask anything and still make them believe it's the same magic as ever. But it's not anymore. Not in this show.

 

With social media it's never been easier than today, but still, NADA. It's absolutely incomprehensible. And absurd. Nothing or most of this disappointment and constant complaints would happen if she performed just ONE rare song that she had asked her fans by requests. That way her fanbase would be also PART of this show. But we're not. There's a long unbreakable distance between Céline and her fans, in terms of communication. Sad.

They didn't even acknowledge the fact of THREE of her best-selling albums being released on vinyl these days. Any other artist I follow that is also releasing their old catalogue on vinyl format are announcing it weeks before, during and after the release.

 

If you don't care to release anything new in years at least make some noise with your own emblematic albums being released on vinyl for the very first time.

 

Her team is an absolute bunch of incompetent people.

 

That Celine herself doesn't care, I can assume that, she's never cared, and she never will at this stage. But that her team doesn't even say a word of these events is absolutely ridiculous.

man, that’s my thoughts exactly! she really seems to be sick to death with that boring show and all that talking helps her to get through it and provides at least for some fun. I’m so glad it’s ending soon. It just went on for too long.
