What aren't people getting here....

A vocal cord is like a muscle, the more you stretch it the more flexable it becomes. Celine most likely unplugged completely since her time off, it will take time for the agility to come back, but it will. May I remind you, after her two year break in 2000 her vocals were at her weakest point up to that point , two years later she returned to Oprah where she could barely get a two minute version of MHWGO done; by the end of 2002 some people say her voice was at its best and she performed what I call her BEST to this day version of MHWGO at the "World childrens Day" show.

 

Point is , people need to chill to call her voice "terrible" as someone just said is WAAAAAAAAAAAY overboard and laughable at her worst she's still CÉLINE DION and she's better than any person at their best lol.

To be honest, after seeing Celine live in Antwerp in 2016 and in Paris in 2017, I'm kinda worried and scared about her vocal condition those days... 😞

 

Of course, there's the surgery.. but, guys, let's be honest with ourselves. Her voice and singing are AWFUL since she came back on stage! Even her english pronunciation is really weird now! It's like she doesn't care at all about her voice anymore!

 

Honestly, I don't know what to think about that...

 

 

I would have to agree. Her nunciations are all over the place and is showing up in her singing. Can only hope it gets bette. Don't get me wrong, she is still flipping fantatsic, but by the standards she has set for herself, I sincerely wish she is able to get back to her Sumner 2017 agility ahead of SE ASIA tour

Oh come on, guys! Celine's vocals are FAR from being awful or even average. She just started singing after a 4-month break. It's totally understandable that her voice needs some time to be sharp and flexible again. She's not tired or anything like that. Imagine being an athlete and stop training for a little while, what do you expect when you come back? To compete in the Olympics within a week? Some of you are really harsh on her like you've never been sick or you're always perfect at your work. Of course we're not members of this forum only to praise her, but saying that people pay a lot of money to see her and she doesn't try to give her best is totally unfair, especially under these circumstances.

The voice itself is tired and weak, she really needs to train it as she did in the 90´s, it does not sound healthy as it was last summer where it was flexible. I don’t criticize her, it’s not against her, it’s just if you compare the record and the live, there is a huge gap in my opinion. And musically it does not sound good. It’s not against her... please, I mean she earns each night in Vegas 500 000 $ !!!!!! Audience deserves a singer who take care a little bit more of her voice as she did in the past, like she said in 1998 on French Television, if you love to sing, if singing is your life, so you have to do it good ! So when you are singer, and when people pay more than 200$ to see you and hear you live...and when the show is more than 30% of playback, it’s a lack of respect for people who pay 200$

From the finish of vegas in june to the start of tours both the last summers have went from sub par and worrisome vocals to excellent vocals...it is amazing how when she leaves vegas she rises above all our worries and shines.

She looks amazing indeed. Do you think she had plastic surgery or maybe they just injected some fat or fillers in her face? It also seems to me that she imitates herself. She talks like that woman that imitated her in the Saturday night sketches. I wonder why. Maybe she think it’s funny or that people still perceive her like that.

Yes she’s now Parody Celine. It’s annoying. As is her attempting to talk gangsta. But then her son is one embarrassing cringefest for that so it’s an Angelil thing.

Why are you guys complaining (you know who you are) like really every single time she performs in Vegas someone always has to bring up something about her voice or dress or what she does. I don't see hear audience members complaining( maybe some complain) about her on social media. Instead I hear "oh that was an amazing concert", "Made my Vegas trip" Etc...

And do you think Céline was supposed to train her voice while recuperating from her surgery? I'm sure she was told NOT to sing to put all the chances on her side.

I’m sure her voice will improve. After the surgery, her voice changed. She’s finding her new voice. A couple of shows will make it better. It’s great that she’s back performing now. She needs to get used in performing on stage again. Little by little day by day one step at a time. It will be better. Just have a little faith and trust.

 

And i’ve noticed that her mic voice is loud since May 22 with more treble like back 2012-2013. They should put a reverb i think it will help with the dry vocals

So funny when people started to worry about her voice getting tired and all that. She spoke in her recording studio Map of My Heart that vocal chord is the instrument for a singer and everyday it changes... with new mood, new voice... it is not a machine that we can tune everytime we wanted and it be good on the spot. People start questioning about her vocal training, do you live with her? Do you know whether she had it or not? In this video, she had a very strong vocal already compared to her first Ashes singing. Yes she still can sing... but sometimes cracks happen following the condition of the voice. Thank God, Celine still wanted to sing with that condition.

Wasn't as bad as it seemed in the previous Think Twice videos -- seems like she only messed up the climax high note at 1:54, and the last part at 2:57, rest was normal.

Did you deliberately avoid the fact that she had a surgery less than two months ago just to prove your point? Have you bother yourself to read about Patulous eustachian tube? Do you know that for more than half cases that surgery doesn't work? Do you know for a fact that her current voice condition is due to the lack of training? Are you family? Member of her team? Because the majority of us know nothing, so you must manage some information that the rest of us ignore to blame her laziness.

 

I know for a fact she is one of the most disciplined singers, she takes care of her instrument and it shows in the fact that despite thousands of concerts on her back she still delivers better than many and last tour was just an example. Would I quit Vegas if I was her? Yes, I wouldn't spend there one more day but right now she has a contract, tickets sold, a lot of money involved, band members, people planning trips just to see her, so I can just image the level of pressure she felt to come back when probably she is not ready yet.

I usually love her adlibs but this one is getting out of hand and almsot crine worthy for me it used to be beautiful at the very beginning when she started them but now its not a great moment IMO . Celine is the ultimate performer.....ALWAYS. I wonder if the vocal trouble now is only muscle weakness and control or if she is still having trouble hearing. Hopefully it is only the muscles and not the ear problem.

Then after a while she cut it short for the summer tour in 2017 and now springtime she once again wears it long. It’s easy... she wants that long hair, but sometimes it messes up while she’s on stage. She said before in AND that her hair pulled down when she danced for RDMH and it messed her. Latest, you can refer to her speech video before Medley when she sometimes got her hair on her hand and throw it at her back. So, sometimes she decided to get short hair for her comfort. But at another time she wants that long hair.

Yes! I am already so tired of the song, don't roast me, I couldn't get enough of it back in the day, then she started adding that adilb and I have to shake my head. Not good. Yes I usually love the adlibs she does.
