Thats around 33.33% percent of the show lipped.

 

(btw TT is almost CERTAINLY temporary definitely not permanent and when she feels strong enough, she will start it back. One bad one doesnt mean to quit it she didnt quit the monstrosity that was all by myself when she was at her worst in Sep 2016)

Great summary. Overall the Vegas show at this point isn't super exciting to watch. Playback performances all feel the same.

 

Currently the main songs I look forward to watching on Youtube after every concert are Think Twice and Ashes. All by Myself and MHWGO would be amazing if only the high notes were live. Hope Think Twice comes back soon.

So after going through the footage for those interested the screens are mostly on but I noticed they are off for or atleast seem to be off (sometimes it's hard to tell) for IS/Recovering/Ashes not sure about BATB or WDMHBN.

Back in 2011 when i was a major geek without any life whatsoever i sat with a stopwatch on a bootleg and actually kept track of the percentages of live vs lip vocals for sake of an argument i was having with someone on youtube who insisted it was closer to half....i cant remember my findings but i think it was about the same as what you both concluded. 31 or 35% cant remember but hell it averages to 33... lol. I do think it has increased since 2011. The 2015 show was lower probably 75/25. I would say last summers tour was close to 85-90% which was higher percentage than fiy or ltal tour. Higher than tcoml tour likely as well. Supports my reasoning on why i think vegas is just celine sadly showing up for a paycheck. Sure she tries to enjoy it but its so bland compared to the song choices and vocals on tour. Lower the shows, let her sing what she wants when she really wants to and the passion will be more evident. These summer tours are proof.

She told the audience: "You know it's been a while since we've done a show I had a little health issue -- don't we all. But I have to tell you, I'm extremely happy to be back. The stage is kind of my home away from home and I have to admit I can barely stand on my feet tonight as I am a little bit nervous.

 

"It doesn't matter how long you've done a show. Every time you do a show you get nervous and I do have butterflies tonight. You wonder will the people still come, are they gonna say what if she cancels tonight, will they stay home, I don't take anything for granted. You can see so many shows in Vegas and I'm so very grateful. Not everyone has the privilege to do what they love in life so thank you for the privilege."

 

Celine's management revealed back in March that she had no choice but to pull out of her residency temporarily because her battle with Patulous Eustachian tube, which causes hearing irregularities, was making it difficult for her to sing.

 

They said in a statement at the time: "Céline has been dealing with a condition in her middle ear known as Patulous Eustachian tube, which causes hearing irregularities, and makes it extremely difficult to sing.

 

"She has been experiencing this condition for the past 12-18 months but it has been successfully treated with various ear drop medications. During the past couple of weeks these medications have no longer been working to treat the condition, so she will undergo a minimally invasive surgical procedure to correct the problem."

I love the opening one. I’m not a huge fan of the new MHWGO dress tho. It seems very constricting. She used to love to play with the flowy green dress. This one looks kinda stiff.
