The orchestra and arrangement sounds really good but the background vocals kinda ruin the chorus. It should have that natural echo of Celine singing "out of ashes", repeating the melody, but it just doesn't sound right to me and the blending of voices sounds off again with they chime in with Celine towards the end of the chorus "out of ashes" again. I don't know if it's just me....

It's not. I think Elise is the one doing the vocals, and I do like her voice as she has been with Celine for years and she thinks/speaks very highly of Elise. But there's a lot that's not right about it. The echo is a tiny bit too loud, just a teeny tiny bit. And the blending/attempt at it does sound a bit forced. I can't say it ruins the chorus for me because Celine compensates for what the echo part takes away, and Elise's harmony is as always very good/spot on. I too wish they would record an echo of her doing some of those lines in the chorus, yes, I KNOW it would not be live, but I've never been one to care/make a big huge deal of that.

OMGOMGOMG NIGHT and DAY difference between last night and tonight. WOW. SOOOOOOOO amazing. Emotionally and vocally very strong I think, though I have absolutely no doubt people will disagree with me and that's fine. But that REEEEEEEEEEEALLY moved me. Didn't hear the nerves/newness like last night. Wow!

she spent the night with her vocal coach obviously. :giggle:

There's no way that Céline didnt take advantage of the time off and go for some botox or something...

 

It's clear she did something, (good for her, if it makes her happy) but you can tell unless she finally found that magic cream she once spoke of lol..

 

As long as Celine keeps it just "maintenance" like she once said and doesn't make it look as obvious as Mariah Carey.

 

But she looks AMAZING! :wub:

I LOVE the LCMM/RDMH/IDAN outfit :worthy: gorgeous & sexy at the same time.

 

 

IDAN is such a powerful song and it was a good idea to add it to that final medley. I would prefer something completely new, but I guess Céline will never ever cut LCMM from her shows, so at least she extended it, even if it is not live. :spaz: This medley has such I'm-Alive-vibes :sofunny:

Rude toward celine? Lol, you make it sound as though i sent it all to her in text message. Harsh? Maybe. Honest? Definitely

Inaccurate? Absolutely not.

 

Sorry if someone is offended. I don't need to explain or justify that i love celine but i also won't support every decision without onjectively thinking about whether it makes sense or not.

 

Using the words terrible decision and obvious playback and disappointed may sound like being rude, but in actuality it just further supports how embarrassing the situation is altogether. Embarrassing that a 15 year old playback gets dug out as a "new change"

 

For 9 years straight she averages about 70 shows a year. Aside from 2000, 2001, 2010. And unexpectedly 2014 she has been non stop performing since the beginning and its taking a toll. Celine and her priorities have changed over the years and i dont feel like her rigorous schedule has really decreased any at all. Wanting a change and acknlwledging celine isn't the same isnt meant to discredit her at all. She is human as we all are. I just don't see any signs of this pace slowing down and it's very concerning to me.

 

Im really not trying to upset anyone with my strong opinions. Sorry i know i have but i stick by them.

This monotonous, totally scripted and stagnated show must come to an end. Or at least revamp it right from the start and come with a new show that motivates her. I don’t believe for a second anymore that she is still enjoying performing this version of the show that has stayed the same for almost 5 years now. That tires and bores anyone, and of course that shows on your voice too!

Still amazed on how good she looks :wub: Not only her face, but it seems she has been working out, she is more toned you just need to look at her arms. She has gained weight but in the right way.

I’ve been singing the same song in karaoke for more than 5 years. Or just add 2-3 new songs on my setlist. And I still enjoy my singing and still sing with passion. But Celine herself said she tired of singing MHWGO but then when she hears audience shouts and claps, the adrenaline goes higher.

Overall slow night with updates very hard to post much tonight and then it got really late here so I had to go and I’m just writing this now to explain why I didn’t really update tonight because I feel guilty at this point. If it wasn’t practically 2am here I would go and check again for more updates but I’m sure by morning Instagram and YouTube will be flooded so keep an eye out. Again really sorry I do have full blown guilt about this even though I explained last night what is going on with me and why my updates will be a bit different at least for this leg.

Maybe they can use this kind of reverb or time delay echoes again when she's belting. It adds resonance also and it doesn't sound dry like what mimi still do

From what I've seen so far, last night was leaps and bounds over Tuesday. Not perfect, but it seems like the nerves were all but gone, and she was clearly more warmed up and rehearsed. If she can make that much progress overnight, I can only imagine how she will sound later in the run, and when I see her next week!
