Popular Post DionFanAlways Posted May 27, 2017 at 12:06 PM Popular Post Posted May 27, 2017 at 12:06 PM (edited) This is what is so clear to me but it doesn't seem to be clear some other fans who are maybe holding onto "yesterday's Celine": Celine lost her husband / mentor / the man who has been by her side as her guiding light and manager since she was A KID. And now he is gone. There's a lot of great things to come. This point, highlighted in red, is exactly how I feel. Also this point, in blue, is what I was thinking also. Someone stated, she's running wild, (something to that effect) well, yes! she is running wild! Think about it. This is very new territory for her. Some believe that Rene controlled her, well, to some extent I believe he did. That would only be natural considering how young she was and that he was her manager and husband. So I say let her "run wild", she has much to explore and develop and MANY mistakes to make! Btw, I believe, mistakes are how you grow! DionFanAlways Posted May 27, 2017 at 12:12 PM Posted May 27, 2017 at 12:12 PM I think it's running away from her feelings. I think she works, works, works, in order to keep busy (as she admitted herself), so she won't feel lonely, she won't have to think about being alone without her soulmate etc etc. I hear people say oh it's so great that she has moved on bla bla, but I don't think she is. When I see her perform or on a red carpet, I still see her suffering and being hurt. In my opinion it would have been better if she cancelled everything in 2016 and then for a year properly mourned his death, come to herself again and then move on. I'm afraid that at one point she'll have a nervous breakdown from running all over the place, without any real direction nor guidance. Especially now Aldo is out of the picture and there seems to be no new manager. True. Clearly her coping mechanism. She needs a manager. 5 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Shamrock_1982 Posted May 27, 2017 at 01:32 PM Posted May 27, 2017 at 01:32 PM She did say that she started to mourn him before he died when she cancelled the shows a few years back and took time off to be with him and the kids. Celine is stronger than most think and she has always been a workaholic, so I wouldn't worry! Quote
isabel leite Posted May 27, 2017 at 10:52 PM Posted May 27, 2017 at 10:52 PM This is what is so clear to me but it doesn't seem to be clear some other fans who are maybe holding onto "yesterday's Celine": Celine lost her husband / mentor / the man who has been by her side as her guiding light and manager since she was A KID. And now he is gone. I just read this post and I decided to copy it because this is exactly how I feel. I believe that `yesterday`s Celine ` has left the building. Like all of us she has changed a lot over time. She is a different performer, woman and person. In the past her voice and her music career were the focus of her life. As time passed her priorities changed. She still loves to sing but as she has said before her children are the main focus of her life now. Her voice has changed a lot, not only because she has gotten older but also because she doesnt want to take as much care of it as before. Vegas gives her the chance to be in one place, and above all to be a mom. To top it off she has lost Rene, her everything, as she once said in an interview. He was the only one that she trusted without question and whose opinion she valued. Now I understand that she is on her own for the first time, so of course she will make tons of mistakes. She wants to sing what, when and how she wants, She wants to develop other areas and interests in her life (fashion ), and above all she wants to talk and be heard. All I have to say is - she is Celine Dion , she has earned it , she has every right to do as she pleases. ( and by the way people have never been so in love with her.) As a proud fan I finish by saying welcome New Celine you will always have my admiration and support! 5 Quote
Javito Posted May 27, 2017 at 10:59 PM Posted May 27, 2017 at 10:59 PM Shania Twain is three years older than Céline and her voice has barely changed over the years. She still sings as good as with her last album in 2002 and pretty much with the same voice. Suffice to say that we cannot compare the activity and workload of both singers during these 15 years, but at this point, I think it's clear to accept that the marathonian performing career that Celine has (self-imposedly) kept since 2003 is taking its toll today on her voice. It's useless to deny that. 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

I like Shania, her voice is lovely, but it's nothing more than ordinary. 1 Quote

Of course nobody would hurt her voice for singing twice a year in the Grammys or in a tribute, or even giving 30-50 concerts per year. We're talking about her Vegas residency and the consecutive performances she's been doing there since almost 15 years now, which is a very different scenario Quote "Hush, now... She was more than good last summer, her french album was great, . She will continue Vegas, even if some people are not happy with it. She is not perfect, some nights are more difficult, others are good For 15 years it has been like that, At some point , people should accept. If this what it takes for her to continue, well ... I think she is doing great, she is making an example of how you can go through adversity, i think it is more important that people freaking out about some non professional instagram recordings. If some are so afraid , they should not have bought tickets for the summer shows. Their idea is half-way made. 12 Quote Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

I'm so sick and tired of the constant bitching on the forum about her Vegas show!! I've officially gotten mad! They have taken it too far and they need to realize she lost her soul mate and that's hard enough, but instead they're all mad that Celine isn't doing what they want her to do! I'm not a rude person but have you noticed the constant complaining!! 4 Quote

Ok one more update from me since we pretty much have most of the show. I'm sure whatever else may emerge on instagram will prob be the same as what's shown in Tiago's video. I will check one more time before bed. If there is anything sufficient I will post. Gulenkov Posted May 28, 2017 at 07:28 AM Posted May 28, 2017 at 07:28 AM (edited) Oh my God, she belted the big note in HDAMLF! It sounded almost perfect (though raspy a bit) and quite resonant to me. That's an incomparable feeling when you listen to the song wondering if she'll sing the note in head voice or in chest voice and then you hear that... wow, goosebumps! If only she turned back to singing MHWGO live (it's the same note), at least for the summer tour. Even thought lots of people complaing about the song being dated and what not, I stil adore it and find it's climax one of the most iconic key changes in music history :-) Edited May 28, 2017 at 07:29 AM by Gulenkov 1 Quote

Javito Posted May 28, 2017 at 09:41 AM Posted May 28, 2017 at 09:41 AM I find her voice in great condition in last night's show! I must admit her voice is disconcerting from one day to another. I can't understand how she sounded that fatigued and tired in the BBMAs performance and within only days her voice is clear and powerful again. Must be the pressure of that big performance? 3 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
CelinesDIVO5 Posted May 28, 2017 at 01:33 PM Posted May 28, 2017 at 01:33 PM Shania Twain actually had a great voice. You don't have to be a belter to be a great singer. However, after everything she went through, (her very public divorce) her voice became damaged. She's nowhere close to what she used to be either. But she's also 50 years old on top of that. That said, she and Celine are too different as singers to compare.
