That's cute that Carole always posts about that night. She has fun with Celine! I want them to do something else together. Bring Carole to Vegas, Celine! A couple days.

 

That would be a fun thing for Celine to do for her new residency, is bring some of her pals there for a day or two as she did with Taro Hakase back during A New Day. And how she brought David Foster for a special performance too.

I love this idea! And whoever is in town (Kelly Clarkson, Josh Groban, Shania, etc.) could drop in and do a duet or two. But I wonder if they would want to pay an additional performer - since they don’t even bother with an opening act for her tours anymore.

TEB is Teterboro Airport, so... she's in New Jersey for a Balenciaga meeting?

Look she can use social media when she wants too lol.

 

I am sure she has sent out dozens of messages like this over the years, maybe more. It's just very rare that they get leaked.

 

But that's so kind of her! This actually sounds like something she wrote personally, I can hear her voice in the writing. I am glad she is working with young, creative people.

 

I know the Celinaissance was a huge thing, but it had/has the potential to be so much bigger. A full on fashion collaboration could be just one way.

Another rap song titled Celine Dion but I don't understand why. It's wild to me to see pop ballad singer Celine Dion influencing rap artists. How? Lol

I like Slimane, but his covers haven't done much for me. When he did "Tous les cris les S.O.S" I was so excited to hear it, but wasn't blown away. This one is better.

I do love his work with Vitaa. "Je te le donne" is such a great song.

I rarely watch Netflix, but today I put on a new animated series, “Q-Force” as background noise. It stars Sean Hayes, Wanda Sykes & Gary Cole and it’s about a queer action hero or something.

 

Within the first 2 minutes of the series, the lead character (Sean Hayes) makes an acceptance speech in which he comes out of the closet and thanks “Céline Dion and those Marky Mark Calvin Klein ads for making me the man I am today” :lmao:

Interesting to hear Chris Hanna interviewed, and of course always good to hear from Carl Wilson on the topic.

Okay, yet another reference to Céline Dion on Netflix's “Q-Force”! I’m beginning to think the writers love her.

 

First, there’s a character named Twink who is the agency’s master of disguise/ drag queen. In flashbacks, we discover (s)he’s really French Canadian, and his (her/their?) parents were circus performers in Cirque du Soleil. But she’s “a vocalist”. :lmao: In Episode 4, as part of a mission, Twink becomes a contestant on Eurovision and wins the contest. French Canadian winning Eurovision… Sound familiar?

 

In Episode 7, a character says he “cry-belts to Céline Dion” in the car.

 

I haven’t seen Episode 9 yet, but it’s called “The Cœur de la Mer”, so I’m already dreaming that Twink makes at least a quick appearance dressed as Céline :wub:

This reminds me Celine Dion got a mention in Modern Family, I don't know if you all know this, but Phil Dunphy (Played by Ty Burrel) and his wife(played by Julie Bowen) was talking, he says "When a man is overcome with emotion at a Celine Dion concert you DO NOT tell him to grow a pair. The ship sank but the love remained forever!"
