I'm downloading it at this very moment.It's a huge 1.38GB file.I don't know what exactly what I'm going to translate in this video.I don't intend to translate the French songs,but what about when Céline starts crying when hearing a song? The lyrics must be important for her.Maybe people didn't notice but when a song began,there was written info for a few short seconds,especially in a medley,at the bottom of the screen.It told why Céline selected this song to be performed.This was very informative about her.

This wasn't a "French special" as you call it.It's a show we can watch every Saturday night since 2008 and it is always as big as this one for Céline.The guests have the best songs? These were the songs that had a great influence on Céline's life and Céline mentioned them herself in the preparation of the show.She was not going to sing them in a tribute to herself,was she?

 

Sure why not, she could have sung L'Univers à Besoin d'Amour just to humor herself

Regarding this video, yes it's quite a lengthy one so maybe you could just put a short paragraph about what a song is about instead of translating (and syncing!!!) all the songs word for word. I think that it would be wonderful if you could translate the interviews.

Loved the show. Very special! Many touching moments. Ginette Reno singing to her. (and we know how much she admires her)I loved that Celine sang along (Tu est la) with her. Like a fan would do!!! Robin, her best friend from Florida, was another amazing moment, How could she not cry with her best friend singing `You`ve got a friend` to her? And of course Jean Pierre Ferland singing Une chance qu`on s`a. Which she and Rene Loved. The lirics are amazing.When she sang `Le paradis c`est ici, Y a pas d` autres vies. J`te donne la mienne , parce que je t`aime a l`infini. (Paradise is here, there is no other life. I give you mine (life) because I love you infinitely. )Cried her eyes out of course! A very beautiful tribute.

With SA we got half the songs Attendre and Si je n'ai rien de toi segments performed on a TV Special. This time I'm expecting 30 seconds clips of Tu sauras and L'étoile, shown from a blurry video capture recorded with a mobile phone in her next TV special. We are very spoiled!

That was the bit before the song "All the Way" and Jean-Pierre Farland. IF I understood correctly, she told the story of how Rene proposed to her and how awkward the whole thing was....that they were in their bathrobes and they were going to spend a quiet evening in and order room service and then he started crying. She also said that Rene cried VERY easily.

She also said that René was a manager , he was good telling others what to do. When he asked her to marry him, he was the one having to do it all, and the execution part was not so good, but the idea was perfect.

in the last year, her birthday is more RC's birthday. What she do : she rent Las vegas arena for two hours, RC and his friends plays hockey, she probably have some adults with her, she didn't say. After they go in the locker room, it doesn't smell good, and they eat the buffet she ordered, and the cake. Then she go home where she has received about 75 flower pot , she has breathing problems , not sure if she 's dead. Everybody calls her, so her birthday is somewhat tiring.

And I cried my eyes out with her :cry: I don't know if you agree, but I want so much to keep seeing Celine so in love with René... I don't mean I like to see her suffering, but the parts I prefer of these shows is when I feel her emotions towards her dear ones and especially René. I am not among the ones who wish to see her with another man in the future actually... and I really think she won't be. Besides, I think this kind of questions during the interviews is inappropriate, in particular after a few months... Just my personal opinion

I'm watching this again and I gotta say that Celine is like a lion in a cage!!!! She SO wants to jump in on the action lol! It must be really frustrating for her to be in a music show and not be able to sing!!!!

 

On another note, massive hats off to the arranger/orchestrator who did all these fantastic medleys. The guy/gal has some serious chops!

Hm....are you sure? I remember that interview pretty well and I think she said bathrobes there as well. Maybe you are confusing this with the other interview with Rosie where she was telling about the night they did her surprise party for her 30th birthday? At that interview, she did say they were dressed beautifully for a nice dinner.

I get your point. It`s very rare to see a couple today so dedicated to each other, Both of them always showed so much love and devotion. It`s hard to even imagine them with someone else.Their story is so unique and special. I watched an interview with her not so long ago and she was talking about tatoos and she said she might get a tatoo of his heartbeat, I am not sure if she really meant it or not. Just to come up with that idea to me shows how much he meant to her.And the whole LV sign is just so beautiful. I think time and life will tell us what the future brings. One thing I know I am a great fan of their love story.
