Céline will be the first invited for the new season of "En direct de l'univers", aired on Radio-Canada. The program proposes to discover a Quebec personality through his musical universe. In the next week, there will be a competition in order to attend the studio recording!

I figured we need a new thread to cover the various press appearances expected in late summer / early autumn.

We know she already filmed a few specials while in Paris, which are to air in the coming months.

 

And I imagine we'll also have several in Canada, starting with the just announced -

ok :giggle: pretty sure a lot will want to be there...a lot of young artist really loves Celine,. And old ones too, but there was a moment when more serious artist didn't showed their affection as much as today :)

Curious: Why do you think that is? And when do you think it changed?

Noticing the same elsewhere, but curious about Quebec in particular. Want to hear from someone on the ground. ;)

because we know her like she is our sister, she doesn't write her songs. She didn't speak as good before, she was shy , afraid to give bad answers. And some think of themselves very highly, Celine is not like that, she is simple and genuine and kind. Always helping others, negativity always have a better press, she was too happy. It changed for the best gradually . And now she is a saint .Some desn't like her, but it is normal. But they won't shout their hatred like it was something to be prood of.

As I understand it, they talk about the guest's influences and songs that were formative in their lives, and then other artists come in and interpret those songs.

 

And if the Journal de Montreal article is to be believed, Quebec artists are queuing up in droves for an opportunity to come in and sing for Celine.

it is a great program, and i guess she is doing it for Québec people, you know the place she comes from. You just have no idea what you are talking about. People will learn more things in that program than in many others. France Beaudoin is not a puppet. Edited by québecflower

To each his own.

I for one am looking forward to someone asking her substantive questions about her influences and inspirations.

 

And it's not random people singing random songs.

No need to be so dismissive of anything you don't know.

Any updates on this?

 

When they first released the news of this being released, they also said in the coming weeks they'd announce info on how to participate in the taping / enter a lottery or some such.

And it's been radio silence since, right?

They announced a 30 minutes extra that will be showed after the show. A behind the scene look . So 30 more minutes to add to the 90 min. Of the program itself.
