Madonna certainly has NO talent as a singer FACT! Now she can put on all the Halloween costumes she likes, but it definable doesn't amount to talent. Artisry, sure, but as far as talent goes, I don't think there is any. I don't think people are "worried" about Madonna, I think they are concerned with how much publicity Celine gets from this performance. With acts such as Rihanna,Ariana,Demi,Justin,Britney,Madonna etc. performing, she really is being overshadowed. She rarely gets this opportunity to perform at big events and to be outshined by teeny boppers, trash, strippers and the crypt keeper is extremely upsetting.

Personally, I think even with these 🚮 performers, Céline will shine brightly anyways. She'll get her moment, her award, her time to shine.

 

I think saying that Madonna has no talent is a bit much. She is a trailblazer. And she does have some vocal talent. She even studied very hard to do Evita and I think she was fantastic. Do I feel it's time for her to pull back from trying g to keep up with the youngins? Absolutely. But I would never degrade her talent as a whole because she is a great writer, amazing entertainer and a decent singer. You can't have it all. But at least Madonna has got some of everything.

Sorry I just do not see it. Madonna is simply a decorated scarecrow with a gap. The only thing I see as "asinine" is Madonna's attempt for relevance and your belief in her vocal talent.

 

Everything that Madonna has, she created herself. This is a woman who has taken charge of her career since day 1. This is a woman who, in the early 1980s, snuck into a DJ booth at a major NYC dance hall and put her cassette on in the middle of the DJs set. That's f@cking incredible!! There were no holds barred for her to get noticed as a young artist. She writes, she produces, she may not have a voice for power ballads like Celine and Whitney...but the woman can sing. She's a completely different type of voice.

I believe your referring to Let's Talk About Love. I don't think my birth year has anything to do with relevancy or Celine or Madonna for that matter. Furthermore, your opinion of it being the most boring album has no relevance to how well it was received in the public's eye. Selling over 31 million for an "boring" album is pretty notable to me. OH dear. To answer you're question, no, I haven't seen the Evita performance or whatever. And I listened to a good bit of her albums and I'm not impressed at all. She can be your favorite singer, but she isn't a good one. Everyone knows Madonna can't sing, it's nothing new. She's like Rihanna. Can hold a tune but isn't a notable SINGER.

Also, Céline has definitely not been singing the same setlist from 92. I think only BATB, WDMHBN, LCMM. Can you name more?

I didn't say she has no talent, I said she has no talent as a singer. Now that may have been rude but I just find her voice and technique cringe-worthy. She has definitely had an amazing career as an artist, actress, writer etc. but as an agile vocalist, I don't think so. She is definitely a fantastic success, the most successful female artist, but I just can't see vocal skill.

I have the exact same thoughts. The mid 2015 performances of TSMGO were solid. In 2016 she was very nasal, especially during the verses. I hope she does well...!
