It was actually for Anne-Marie but yes, Celine performed it specially for her at her wedding... "I´m gonna love you forever" (later, "Tout Pres Du Bonheur" as duert with Marc (2005).

Last year Marc shared in an interview that he hadn't had direct contact with Céline in a long time but that she kept in touch with Anne-Marie. Can't remember exactly when the interview took place (a couple of months before Céline shared her diagnosis I think).

 

Anyway, sad news about the separation. They always seemed like a lovely couple.

He taught me so much about this profession. I owe him so much!

I hope he's still watching over Céline from above.”

While Céline was at the Grammys on Sun, Marc Dupré was on TLMEP (a Québécois talk show). He’s been in the media a lot lately owing to his current comedy show, I think. Seems he’s still on good terms with Anne-Marie (https://www.7jours.ca/2024/02/08/marc-dupre-nest-pas-presse-de-retrouver-lamour) but I guess now that he’s technically out of the Angélil family, nobody asks him about Céline anymore.

I do wonder how much Céline keeps in touch with Rene’s kids.

Who knows, my guess back in the day to have contact was because of their father.

She is their stepmom, and not the one you would have visited every weekend.

I remember them all being together at the Florida beach house, not sure if it was pictures or video. But it was shown somewhere.

Don’t know if he said “regular” but yeah, he said she was the one who would be in touch and have updates, if any.

Plus I think Anne-Marie is in Vegas on the regular because she’s a poker player. There are pics of her from last year participating in some poker tournament there. (Seems that’s one thing Rene passed on!)

I’m sure Anne-Marie stays with Celine and her brothers when she’s in town. I really doubt Celine would pay disrespect to Rene’s children after he passed, that doesn’t seem like something she would do… however, nobody knows.

Plus I'm sure they got a chunk of the estate when he passed. And Anne-Marie was director, along with her dad, for some of the Celine companies that were incorporated in Canada (now mostly dissolved or absorbed by CDA or Feeling, I believe).

He’s been a comedian all along. Started as one in the ‘90s, I believe, doing comedy and imitations / impersonations.

Has he communicated he’s done with music? I thought he just did a tour and is now doing a comedy show for a change, not that “his musical career has ended”.
