I'll never forget the emotion that swept through the Centre Bell in Montreal when Celine gave her 2016 performance. 10 years since that wonderful tour and 10 years since Encore un Soir came out. Bit by bit Celine has left her francophone career in the dust. It has been an awful 10 years, hasn't it? We were give a false sense of hope when Celine embarked on those 2016/2017 concerts with a new sense of artistry. It faded long before she was no longer able to perform due to her illness. The question is: Was it Rene that kept Celine grounded and close to her quebecoise roots? I am inclined to think so.

I think it was that Rene was driving force behind everything she did well. Of course he wasn’t always right, but he was more so than not. Even her English career was left in the dust to an extent… the courage tour era was more a karaoke setlist and the artistry was gone.

 

It happened to be she wasn’t able to find a team who was good at running both sides of her career.

I get posting a photo is nice to but it would feel more personal if she made a short video message. Let me know your opinion on it. But who knows now with Dee in charge and her opinions i was told by someone on instagram who knows her and she said she’s very controlling of Celine. And what does one do to honor their late spouse …. Definitely I would actually find it weird if she did put a video message out talking about him for the world. Somethings are better kept inside your heart or with a few words on a picture of him.

 

Everyone grieves in their own way, I usually honor loved ones loss more on a birthday or anniversary rather than the day they passed on.

You’re still talking about her bun architect being “controlling” over Celine? Until you have proof it’s getting old.
