I think we are seeing a "new" Celine in a way she is free of a huge weight that was consuming her and her familty for the last 3 years (don't get me wrong, I don't think Rene was a burden) but those who had a relative very sick for so long know that after they are gone, there is a sense of relief. And Celine may be going through the same thing...

 

The tours in France and Montreal is like going back to her roots (The same outfit-shows reminds me of the Olympia concert) not so much about the lights, giant screens and dancers (works amazingly in Las Vegas and a World Tour don't get me wrong) but here is about the songs and show itself: CELINE

 

Naming Beyonce as comparison is kinda stupid..I mean first of all, Beyonce is 30 something and a totally different artist, big part of her show is about dancing!

 

Yes she my look "tired" or maybe a little thin, but people! she LOST her husband after a battle of 3 years of an awful kind of cancer, very painful and consuming not only for Rene but for HIS WIFE too! she has been on the road for weeks now...she IS tired!

 

Yes, we all miss the fresh looking Celine of 1996, but we are not in 1996, play Falling into You if you feel nostalgic and give her a break

 

I wish I could be there enjoying a more intimate kind of show...

 

Celine's face can be "fixed" with botox if she wants to...the lack of intelligence in some comments here will last a life style

Either way I think the hairstylist is not prepping the hair right before the show. It's so flat and sometimes to messy.

Has anyone had any luck running into any of her people? I know in Paris alot of people managed to talk with Scott. I'm just bursting to find out if there are any dvd plans. I know we all keep saying there prob will be but I just find when it's expected it doesn't happen or least that's what it seems like with all my fave artists lately

I like seeing her hair different, not amazing but a nice change

 

This new stylist dresses her amazing out and about but these stage costumes are f****** terrible!

 

I love the fact there is no costume changes in these shows, but because of this and because of how great Celine has always looked over the years in shows and recently on the streets of Paris, it's like he doesn't have a clue how to dress her for the stage?!?

 

Both costumes remind me of clothes seen in Tim Burtons film " corpse bride ".

Not chic, not flattering, not memorable, and just thrown together with a that will do attitude.

 

In a show it's not just about the voice, and stage presence it's also about the look ( the whole package ).

 

I dread to think what he's going to put her in, in Vegas!!

 

But other than that, I love the changes, growth and work put into this new chapter of her career by her and her team!!!

Well, all "her people" are basically from here so I imagine they're staying at their respective homes with their families so unlikely we'll be running into any of them at hotels.

I'm pretty sure I saw Scott Price with his daughter right before Monday's show (just off stage, not amongst us plebs).

And in other Celine-related sightings, passed Mitch Garber on the street yesterday.

We certainly all have our opinions about how Céline looks! I think her recent stage outfits have been absolutely fantastic! She is dressing better than ever in my opinion. She needed change, badly. She was getting stale in every way. She needed a new manager, she needed to change band members, she needed a new stylist. Since all of these changes, her live arrangements are better than ever, her singing is as good as ever (in some cases better), her setlists are amazing, her outfits are new, fresh, and somewhat different, her recent new songs sound amazing, and she has a new attitude. She truly seems happy and is showing renewed interest in all these things she's had on auto pilot for years. I absolutely LOVE everything she's done lately! I couldn't be more thrilled with all the changes.

Just so you know, there's another merchandise vendor once you get inside Bell Centre. The one outside is absolutely chaotic, I was there for almost 45 minutes trying to pay: they had one person working at the cashier and there were way too many people in that little tent. The one inside also had more merchandise than the outside one.

And as you can imagine, it was even bigger on Sun.

Celine on every cover, Celine playing on every mall PA....yeah, that's what it's like in this town. On a regular day.

 

I've got to say, even without Celine here, Montreal is an awesome city (remind me why I don't live here anymore?!)

Seriously, I've lived in London, San Fran, LA, and now NYC, among others, and nothing beats Montreal in the summer, especially when Jazz Fest or Just For Laughs are on. (I'm totally gonna have to hit the gym after this trip though...all I've been eating is poutine, Schwartz's, and Fairmont /St. Viateur bagels...but when in Montreal, how can one not?!)

The Red Heads shared a video of the red carpet and all what's going on at the entrance of the venue: I've never seen such thing set up for a singer Stands, big banners, huge posters, balloons everywhere and a proper built-in store... It almost looks like a Celine village!

 

No wonder how she's one of the highest grossing female singers of all time! All the money they spent there today

I got walk around while they were setting it all up and got a few pictures before I was asked not to take photos. They also had a red carpet event when the Taking Chances tour rolled into Montreal. I went to the red carpet for about 15 minutes so didn't have a great view, but I enjoyed the energy from it.

 

They got her crying... Maybe Montreal crowd will be as amazing as Paris

The crowd was better because I was there

 

Ordinaire is getting even better!!!

It was everything I thought it would be and more.

Her face looks exactly the same in those pictures, as if it had been cut from one single photo and pasted on ten other "different" poses. That's why I don't like the work of Alix Malka at all. 0 creativity

She recorded MHWGO on the 1st for an ABC Greatest Hits special that will air tomorrow night and she specifically asked us to turn on our lights and phones and to sing along. Her next performance will be tomorrow night!

I love the fact that Céline doesn't change during the concert because it allows for more songs. Having said that if you are going to wear one thing it NEEDS to be something AMAZING. These outfits all of them this tour ao far have been anything but flattering in my opinion. They make her look older with that bagginess and why all the layers of clothing in the f****** summer lol.

 

I just dont understand, Law Roach makes Céline look AMAZING on the street and then its showtime and she doesn't look that great. Makes no sense, Céline isn't a model she should look her absolute best on stage vs.walking to her car.

 

I get that people are saying that this show isnt about fashion and okay I understand but she's CELINE fricken DION why does she have to choose between making a show about voice and emotion and looking good for the satge? Its 2016 she can do both for godness sake. I love the show absolutely adore it, but in my opinion her looks since this tour started haven't been this bad since the opening customes of A New Day... back in 2003.
