Tyler1991 Posted August 4, 2016 at 02:28 AM Posted August 4, 2016 at 02:28 AM I understand some criticism of thode who do not like the stage costumes. I mean, maybe if TC era or vegas eras were your favorites. These costumes and the lack of changing remind me so much of the early 90s. Just a standard costume for the entire set and for each show... it's somewhat stylish and trendy looking, but in a simple way not an overt one. It presents a vibe that thr show really is about the music. The costume I see for each show presents a much stronger vibe, and feeling and emotion than the several costumes she changed into in vegas do.. 1 Quote

chadiedls Posted August 4, 2016 at 03:30 AM Posted August 4, 2016 at 03:30 AM Here is the audio recording from August 1st! One file in the folder is for the opening act, while the other is for Celine's full show. I apologize for any static or zipper sounds you hear, we kept getting our phones out from our bags - it is pretty minimal though. If you can't access the file, please let me know so that I could upload it to another file-sharing site. Enjoy! Thanks a lot! Quote

Kristinaz Posted August 4, 2016 at 05:54 AM Posted August 4, 2016 at 05:54 AM Well, all "her people" are basically from here so I imagine they're staying at their respective homes with their families so unlikely we'll be running into any of them at hotels.I'm pretty sure I saw Scott Price with his daughter right before Monday's show (just off stage, not amongst us plebs). And in other Celine-related sightings, passed Mitch Garber on the street yesterday.Dang....I hadn't thought of that tbh with you till now Quote
Popular Post enno2007 Posted August 4, 2016 at 07:23 AM Popular Post Posted August 4, 2016 at 07:23 AM (edited) I am surprised to not have read too much about the content of the press conference yet. I would watch, but I don't understand a word of French. The press conference was excellent, in my view. Some questions were a bit repetitive, but Celine was great in answering them. She was much more serious (not surprisingly) than on the Today Show, more measured as well, despite a few nice jokes. What stood out for me was how strong she came accross while you could feel at the same time how much she is still grieving. She also is really clever and witty. In short, the Celine I like most (neither too crazy nor too dramatic, just genuine and touching) came through. Some things that came up, but this is far from comprehensive:When leaving the house, she says goodbye to the children and sometimes thinks of saying goodbye to Rene, until she realises he is no longer there. (She said much more about this, but that's the gist - and I found her very lost and so sad, but also strong when she told this.)She mentioned that the Quebecois public listens more than the French, who sing along all the time, but that she loves both and has been completely overwhelmed by the love and support.RC has once criticised how she pronounces a line in 'All by myself', which she found cute and it reminded her of Rene.RC also leaves short messages in the house (when he went golfing for example), and Rene did this every day, to say where he had gone, that he loved her...ALPHB was particularly touching for her on Sunday because the last line refers to a Sunday. Her wit shun through when many journalists said they had set next to RC. She said that it strikes her as odd that 6 people said they set next to him, while only 2 can (one left, one right).Aldo intervened when she talked about social media (as she is clueless). He said the plan was not to turn her into a Kardashian, but to share some key moments with the hardcore fans around the world. She seemed to be over the moon to be in Quebec, thanks to the nature and the fact that her children spent so much time outdoors, which is impossible in the hot Las Vegas. Even though she evaded the question, she said she would wish for herself to return one day to Quebec.Regarding the show, she dismissed the idea that a show needs to build up to a climax and follow the rhythm 'hit-a normal song-a hit-costume change'. She wanted to create one emotion/mood with 2-3 songs, then move on to a different emotion, then increase the energy. She also mentioned that she may be wrong but that the reactions of the audiences seemed to have proved her right (very diplomatic but also very confident, I liked that a lot).As I said, there was much more. The 90 minutes pass quickly, it's the best interview I saw with her since Rene's death. Edited August 4, 2016 at 07:29 AM by enno2007 16 Quote
Un Rêve Posted August 4, 2016 at 08:52 AM Posted August 4, 2016 at 08:52 AM The press conference was great. As was said before, Céline went into depth with answering most questions and she said much more on most topics than in any other interview. Adding to the last point of the previous post, Céline said it was her decision to not change clothes during the concert, as this series of concerts was about spending as much time as possible with her fans. She wanted this and her team agreed with her. She said, if it didn't work, they'd find out, but she felt the response had been positive. Also, she said with this tour she has really busy days (such as that day of the press conference), but she didn't want to run from one thing to the next. She felt more relaxed and felt l ik e she could breathe and sing better because of it. She added that that's what works well currently and it might be different for another tour. 5 Quote
scielle Posted August 4, 2016 at 11:11 AM Posted August 4, 2016 at 11:11 AM It says in this link that Celine did a photoshoot on Saturday June 18th! I wonder if this new shoot will be added to the album? It's probably just press pics, but there are so many new pics of Celine that they could use for press pics that it makes me think they are getting more pics to use for the album? I hope. Apparently with Gilles Bensimon, according to some tweet I saw. Guess we now know what that was about! Javascript is not enabled OR refresh the page to viewClick here to view the Tweet 1 Quote
SlovakClark Posted August 4, 2016 at 11:39 AM Posted August 4, 2016 at 11:39 AM All these comments about Celine looking old annoy me. Am I the only one who sees a perfectly normal, healthy, confident 48 years old woman? For all I know I am happy that when I see her I see no anxiety about her looks, no vanity, no effort to persuade anyone that she is all young and hot. THIS! Annoys me too. Plus as far as we all know, Celine was even in 90s considered as a 40/50year old singer by most of the non fans. Thats nothing new she's always had an older look. Its weird like people all of sudden expect from her to look like gwen stefani or kylie or whoever 2 Quote http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/320x240q90/853/qwz9.jpg

Kyle_Jared Posted August 4, 2016 at 01:03 PM Posted August 4, 2016 at 01:03 PM Saw her in Montreal on opening night (July 31). Section 103 (right next to stage) and BRILLIANT Seats. This was 7th time seeing her and she was out of this world. On fire. Fantastic. The energy in that arena was unlike anything I've ever experienced...... Cannot wait for the new album later this month!! Oh and I purchased a program and a mug (both gorgeous!) 2 Quote

I didn't realise until a few days later when I was looking at my photos an sorting them that I caught the mic stand falling. I love it. ALPHB - August 1st performance in pretty good quality! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTV7mInU2Kk I wasn't sure about the song the first night and now I love it even more each time I listen to it. I also noticed on Aug 1st that she says Je T'aimes at the end of the song along with the LV sign. I didn't notice that on the first night. Made the song even more personal. I think there's only one way to enter the parking garage. It's in the back by the pick up place for the VIP packages (if you go the the train station inside the Bell Centre, take the stairs downstairs). I didn't go wait, but those who did will be able to tell you for sure if it's at another location. Edited August 4, 2016 at 04:05 PM by Del 1 Quote Instagram: @delphis78
