I am glad i do not live there but it comes so close now and what is next.. it is so awful what just happened.

These are terrible times. When I became a french teacher I never imagined that I would have to talk to my students about terrorism in France and Belgium, let alone two times in a year. This is a nightmare. Our hearts are broken, but our spirits are strong.

this is terrible I feel that we turn back in the time, where people didn't had education, we have to open our bags every time we go in everywhere, this sucks...bombs...terrorists....

Why back down on something you planned, paid a ticket for, booked travel and accommodation for and are really looking forward to... Because of them?!?

 

That's what they want... No matter where you go in the world now the risk will always be there... But you have to get on with it and live the way you want to.... Be cautious and aware, but don't be scared or back down.

 

I grew up in n.ireland and in those days, I never let it stop me from doing certain things, or going to certain places... "We're living, so live, let's go".

I'll second that- in N Ireland I grew up checking there were no bombs under our car as Dad was a policeman...but you can't be prevented from living. LIVE TO LOVE 🤗

I was in Amsterdam and there was not police on the street and I felt more safe than here is Paris with all guns out there

I would too!! I have been listening to D'eux a lot this week and I have been in love with that, Le Ballet, and Les Derniers Seront Les Premiers. If she sang any of those I would faint as well!

Sportpaleis has already taken measures, as you can read on their website, but is it still fun to go to a concert knowing that there might be a possibility someone or more people try to do a attack?

I don't know. I will see what happens in the upcoming months.

I think Celine would very much be of the opinion that "the show must go on." Cancelling or altering the concerts in any way will just give these people what they want. Celine will want to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Belgium and France and will take all the necessary safety precautions to ensure she can be there with them as planned.

Mariah Carey actually cancelled her Brussels show. Granted that was IN Brussel and just 5 days after the attacks... But if the organisation has the security up to the higest level, then it should be fine IMO.

It's a scary situation right now but the way I see it is that Celine has 3 kids that just lost their father so putting herself at risk is out of the question. I can see her cancelling at the drop of a hat!

I don't have a sense of what she would do. I remember how she said she was afraid to come to New York to sing God Bless America after 9/11 - and it was Rene who convinced her to. Probably she won't decide until it gets closer.

Exactly. If it had been a week or two before her show, then yeah highly likely it would be cancelled/postponed. We'll have to see what the situation is nearer the time of the shows.

Haha it's not this. It's only because we were doing all those dates, so we were in a 24H rush. Impossible to follow all the news about which hotel she chosed, how her mood was, how her hair looked, what she was wearing and who was with her hahaha

Alright, because I have far too much time on my hands and when I come up with an idea I tend to run with it... I introduce to you the Throwback Tour. There are some notable problems with the set-list, mainly that SA, D'Elles, and 1F4T are not represented... but I was focusing on her older repertoire. I also tried to be realistic.. we all know they will never cut LCMM/RDMH. Also.. I really, really, really want to see her rock some acid-wash jeans and a leather jacket.
