Can you all calm down about a dvd ?? The french tour ended less than 2 months ago!

 

The 2013 tour ended on december 2nd and we didnt know about a dvd yet and then Une seule fois cd/dvd was released in MAY 2014! So 5 month and a half after!

 

Madonna ended her tour in MARCH and there is no news about a dvd from her team yet! They only said a concert movie is gonna aired on tv in december so it took 7 months for that official news and its not about a dvd.

 

for sure there is gonna be a dvd from the 2016 french tour, we know it was filmed from different angles so calm down and wait. We know her team always write the news at the very last minute.

However they did release Olympia and Au coeur du stade concerts only within 2 months after the performances. So how is it working now, are going backwards taking months and months to release a concert in 2016 when they took only 2 months in the 90's or what?

I feel like everything moves slower these days.. in the 90's artists would record a new album every year... now, even top artists at the peak of their career wait 2-5 years in between and tour less frequently... look at Adele, Taylor Swift, Sia, Beyoncé, etc. gone are the days of:

It was officially released as a promotional CD back in the day if I'm not mistaking . Sony sent it to selected European radio stations actually changing the name of the CD depending on the country. For example: It was 'Live in London' for UK radios, 'Live in Milan' for Italian radios and so on... This was a smart way to promote the tour itself on radios and changing the name of the CD was not a big problem for them since the disc only included the songs and not Celine's speeches.

Got your point hehe. Actually it's an official (but promotional) release (for radios). But at the end of the day, it is a legit release from Sony Music.

Correct and I have it in CD quality... I think at some point it was uploaded to this the multimedia section but it was only in 96kbps and distorted.

Always curious about Brunei, did she have to sing it 100% live because it was a private concert paid by the Sultan? Because the whole entire show was completely live and did anyone notice the little steps that was added where the platform starts usually when she walks up during the piano bridge before the big note of All By Myself?

I don't think that anything, except acces illimite, has been filmed for a dvd recording. It would have been announced that a dvdrecording was going to take place at that specific date.

Nothing has been announced. And again, filming can't be static images only, they would have used a crane. There was no crane.

No this time no dvd. But a livecd could be a possibility although i think that is not going to happen either...

My friend who has worked with concert dvds alot says he has seen some artists who don't do the crane and mainly use the normal HD cameras but your right Celine typically does use cranes. I do also know that you don't have to announce a recording. Many venues have it written as part as their terms and conditions when entering the venue but again she typically does announce them. Guess we'll have to wait and see. If there is no dvd then I don't get why she didn't do it. I thought this tour was so great and so different from all her previous ones. Such a shame if true.

I am pretty sure that there will be a DVD of the shows, because this is not a show that came to defend the release of a CD, she only sang three songs from the new album at the shows, two in France, EUS and Ordinaire and 3 Quebec, then it seems that they do not see reasons for a release, is what I think.

A CD that was released that has no music video of her single, they are saving money, spending more economic release a lyric video of a video clip, more economical load the audio songs to record a music video, all this is reduced spending or the record company did not want to invest that kind of stuff for Celine.

My guess is that there won't be a DVD of this tour since we did not see professional cameras filming any of the shows as for a DVD release but it's very possible that a CD / iTunes EP with audio from one of the concerts will come in a near future. At least I hope so!
