There's a show on December 11th called Montreal S'allume. It's for the celebrations of Montreal 375. Based on the link below with video it looks like it's a special that is made of various moments. How can you say that? New songs, songs she doesn't normally perform live, the more is less stage design and more focus on the music than the costume changes. She also had a great connection with her audience despite her recent loss... I'd say it was pretty special!

I imagine that Celine would be very good at skiing.

 

Water skiing looks challenging enough and similar in many ways to skiing and Celine managed to pull that off flawlessly with Julie Snyder a few years ago, even though she hadn't water skied in about 30 years.

 

I don't know how she managed to keep her head above the water at all times. Her makeup and hair were kept flawless, even though she had just completed a major water sport. LOL.

 

I know she had that cap covering her hair and everything, but still. Celine's head didn't even touch the water once. LOL. Like RC, Celine seems to naturally be good at sports. I think as long as Celine and her family take the proper safety precautions, I think they will do just fine.

 

I hope they have loads of fun on there annual ski trip. I think it's so nice to know that Celine is still doing this tradition. A tradition that was previously always scheduled around Celine and Rene's wedding anniversary. It's nice that she still feels like she can celebrate this time and make the best of it through her children and loved ones.

It would be great if the summer tour dvd will be release. Some of the songs in the setlist are performed rarely or never really performed live especially this song. Those high notes!! Amazing!

such a wasted opportunity... with a cd DVD set they could have made loads of money during Christmas season AND please the fans. You Must Not be Einstein to know that. I wonder what was the real reason for not Filming and releasing the show. It's such a shame. Even if they never filmed it with cameras, they could make an amazing 2CD live release with all the best performances from the 5 cities.

 

Same goes for 2013, I would still love a CD from the Paris shows...

You know, I think that out of all the complaints fans can make the ones refering to her live CD/DVD releases have the most justification. For instance, the USF release was a disaster and there are unedited performances from the French leg of the 2013 tour which are far superior. In this 2016 tour her voice was in better shape than any live CD/DVD release since ACDS! The general notion of public is that Celine can still sing, that she still ''got it'', but her live releases have not helped at all. In a way, she has gotten away with them! Guess this is due to the fact that she does deliver great performances still, but why risk her reputation by releasing such average recordings again and again, skipping the good ones?

 

I put all my hopes in the CD/DVD release of her Vegas show. I hope they get it right this time and offer us something that stands up to her vocals and status!

My wish is that the rumoured English mini tour for next year be as special and filled with rare songs like this past Summer. This way those who were not able to attend a French show get a similar unique experience but with English songs.

I think a CD/DVD of the upcoming English mini tour has more chances of being released. I believe their way of thinking is: "last live release was a French one, so now it's time to go for an international release". Time will tell...

That doesn't make much of a sense, they released Live à Paris only two years after Live à l'Olympia, both French concerts, and then ACDS three years later, with no English live album at all in between. In fact her first English live release came in 2008 with the TCWT, when her voice was not crystal clear anymore as in the golden years of her career and in my opinion, a much too late release and at the same time so very much deserved, for a singer who already had 25+ albums on her back. They've always been characterised for this kind of bizarre and senseless decisions with her commercial releases. Yet her best concert ever in vocal terms -the Olympia- is still unreleased to this day. They're absolutely irrational with these things.

 

Their problem is one of absolute laziness and attention to her marketing and her fanbase. Not to mention that they have always neglected her French releases for the public outside French-speaking countries. There are many people still today that can't afford to make it to one of her concerts, especially if she's doing a French tour concentrated only in a couple of countries, and many people would be just grateful if Sony released a DVD of that tour for everyone to enjoy. But... laziness is all around them with Celine and her releases

I agree.

 

The mixing doesn't help either. Although her voice was not in a good shape in 2003/04 for the AND album, at least the audio and vocals were authentic and well mixed. TCWT and USF have been so heavily autotuned, it completely ruins the listening experience for me.

 

If 2013 and 2016 ever get a CD release, they need to do things properly and hire new producers/sound engineers as I don't believe her current team are capable of creating decent live albums like the 90s...

I don't want to add fuel to the fire guys but I just think that it's not only a problem of the heavy editing and/or autotune, it's also that Celine's voice sounds very tired and strained in her concerts today, more and more each time

 

If she didn't do (hadn't done) so many concerts and rest her voice more, I think her voice wouldn't suffer that exhaustion we see with more frequence each day in her performances (in part, that's why I think it's not that great idea to see her touring next year again after Vegas and then more Vegas and then another tour, and then more Vegas... )
