Trois Heures Vingt(intro)

I thought this was a nice touch, though I would have loved even just ONE chorus!

 

EUS

Unfortunately the sound was too low at the beginning so there was a little oooomph lacking. But the song is such a great opener and she sings it well. I loved the extended end.

 

JE CROIS TOI

The new instrumentation suits the song well. The placing of this song could be better IMO, the second song should be something faster. Overall the song is one of her best and I loved its inclusion.

 

Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour

Strong song that got the crowd off their seats and fist pumping into the air. Céline always sounds strained on this , I enjoyed it nonetheless.

 

Immensite

I could tell she loved performing this, she was smiling all the time and spread her arms as if to embrace us all. Definitely one of the best moments.

 

EJTE

As I said before, the song struck me extra hard. I hadn't expected to be this moved by this version. The new arrangement elevates it to another level. I couldn't stop crying. My highlight of the evening.

 

PQTME

I was surprised to hear this so soon into the show. But the audience sprang up at the first note and sang all the way through. Céline was phenomenal.

 

TERRE

As I could tell, this was the whole version, nothing shortened. It used the momentum of PQTME well and kept the crowd going.

 

Ordinaire

Phew, this song is something extravagant. It reminded me of NMQP and I loved the end. I will wait for the studio version for my final rating.

 

Ziggy

I was hoping she would sing this, and she did it extra well. So smooth and we all were so much into it. I thought everyone around me knew the lyrics by heart.

 

BYLM-IACBTMN-TPOL

This was heard for the umpteenth time and while still nice for the casual listener, I think they should update the vocals if they need to be using prerecorded vocals.

 

Le Vol D'un Ange

The band did this ethereal song justice and I could tell Céline has a special place in her heart for this. I also loved the lighting and screens here. Very good decision to include this, it was a perfect transition to...

 

LEE

Wow just wow. I was astounded how awesome she sounded here. The crowd was clearly moved to tears.

 

Apprends moi-Tous les secrets-Ne bouge pas-Valse adieu

The acoustic medley was a nice change of pace and the song selection was superb. It even made me appreciate NBP a little bit more than on the album. The best part here was clearly TLS and for my boyfriend it was the highlight of the whole show

 

Tous Les Blues Sont Ecrits Pour Toi

I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't heard it myself. A very nice surprise, Céline sounded phenomenal and I appreciate her guts.

 

Dans Un Autre Monde

Always a good crowd mover and it got us to our feet immediately. It was the first time hearing this live in person, so while I know that she has performed it on every French concert since the dawn of time, I loved it.

 

Ce soir un danse a Naziland

Thank you Céline for including this masterpiece. The beginning was very unexpected too. Great instrumentation.

 

Purple Rain

I wouldn't have included this song in the show bit it was great no matter what. Céline hit some incredible notes which I always appreciate!

 

LCMM-RDMH

She should get rid of these outside of Vegas because she was clearly not into it. I don't like the way she sings LCMM since... she abandoned the album version. And RDMH is just lame by now.

 

Show Must Go On

I thought she sounded even better than on the bbmas and I loved it. This sound suits her so well. There was some kind of problem on the second verse, but she handled it like a pro... Which she is of course.

 

MHWGO

This song has a new meaning to Céline and to the fans as well. That's why I was very moved by her rendition.

 

SISDA

The single best song to close the show without the usual fireworks of other artists. It was simply classic and Céline sounded crystal clear. The audience sang along like one.

 

VOLE

And an a Capella closing with different lyrics gave us a bittersweet goodbye.

 

Overall the concert was amazing. The audiences eyes and ears where locked into Céline and the little 7 nation army improvs where absolutely fantastic.

I only missed ONCP and PAMP and would have moved PQTME more towards the end. But apart from that everything was grandiose and my love for this woman couldn't be greater than it is tonight.

It's a Grammy-winning White Stripes song written by Jack White that has become a common chant at sports events.

 

At two points in tonight's show, the crowd started chanting it and Celine, and eventually the orchestra, joined in and improved on top of the riff.

What an amazing review, thank you. Thanks especially for describing that she loved doing immensite. That is my favorite song, not only off D'elles, but maybe my favorite song she does this whole tour. I am totally blind and so I miss/don't get to see the visuals, so to know she was into Immensite is great to hear. I loved L'amour Existe Encore, and thank goodness she raised the key a half-step, let's hope it stays that way. Loved the ending of Je Crois Toi tonight. I too would have even loved just one chorus for Trois Heurs Vingt, but, apparently not. I loved the alternate lyrics to Fly, and to know that Le Vole D'un Ange has a special place with her. I can tell, yes, that my heart will go on has a new meaning to her and to us. I never have noticed the strain in Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour, I am just glad that one Sans Attendre song got represented. So glad you got your boyfriend to tag along, so many would not. What a good sport he is lol

This tour is clearly very good for her soul. She looked so happy coming back to the hotel tonight! Lots of pictures and videos on Instagram of her sitting on the roof of the car, signing autographs, with the crowd singing around her. Good to see a genuine smile!

It's not that she doesn't get the love here but it is soooo different but I know what you mean.

I also think it's a bit hard to judge since she can't tour out of Vegas in the States.

Anyways, this Paris concert is just great. I won't complain for a few minutes of lip-sync.

I think it was the first time she's ever let them sing it. I loved the key raise on L'amour Existe Encore, so hope it stays that way. And yes, IF she could tour in the USA, and I was there, she'd *definitely* see/hear me. Us USA fans have plenty of love for her. And, oh, man do I wish, speaking of Quand N'a Que L'amour, I so wish she'd do that live. Bring that back again, there are some POWERFUL notes in that ending and she could seriously KILL IT!!!!!!!!! <3

Ok... so I know celine gained a little weight after Rene passed away which I love... and I'm never one to think about or comment on weight. But..... is it just me or does she look like she has a little baby belly in both these pics? She's also been wearing such baggy clothing lately. I can't even believe I'm writing this... but I can't help but notice it. Any one else see it or am I just losing it?

Obviously that thought has crossed my mind, and logically that makes the most sense but I can't help but see what I see lol

 

I think part of me wishes she could have one more baby because she's such a great mom... and it sure would make for one heck of a miracle story!
