I think IACBTMN was not all playbacked at least not the beginning because she had a soar throat and I could notice that during this song too. TPOL was lipped though :-)

She signed a contract with Caesars Palace that' states Celine can't perform a full concert in any other venue in the United States. I wish she could I love for a mini US tour.

Because of Vegas she can't perform in any other venue other than Caesars in the US only.

Could y please explaion more? I find this topic really interesting and I never thought that Celine was sick of Vegas. I thought she was happy there, since she could perform for a couple of hours and then return to her family,having earned billions of dollars each night during all these years.

it always felt that she's sick of singing there.. at least for me.

* it feels like watching the making of 'my love' with linda perry.. she kinda read between the lines that she has no opinion and does not know how to say no.. at that time !

but i think she's changing since rene's death. this tour is a big step, PQTME not as encore, old "new" songs" live for the first time. amazing!

I'm sure there are things about lv she loves. But it must be suffocating at times. So restricting. And she's been doing it a long time. Always thought the first run was too much, too hard a stage and too many shows. This run is much better, but obviously it's been a tough time personally for her. We'll see what happens after this contract ends 😉

I agree. I'm sure she feels constricted since she can't go anywhere else. I mean I guess she loves that she can only be based in one place instead of staying in a different place each night. But who knows what she'll do when she's done? I'm thinking she'll probably do a world tour and then take a break for a few years, which she deserves it. I could totally see her moving full time to Montreal and basing her career out of there around wherever. Ideas ideas, but we'll have to wait quite a few years to find out

stability a great home.. but yeah we don't know it all.. it might be hard to live there though.. but US fans have to travel to watch a pre made concert, i mean, not like in this tour, she's being really her

Yeah she said that! I can't believe it, but I do love that she has so much more time to sing! In Vegas though I can't see her only wearing only one outfit. She'll probably always change outfits, it's a much more intimate setting plus it allows her to change the mood of the section of the show, I love seeing her in multiple outfits, but I do think it's a stress reliever to only wear one outfit, so she's not running around like a crazy person changing in 50 seconds or whatever. But we'll have to see!

If she does another world tour it would be amazing! But I'm afraid that she will do only few important cities like Aldo or Team Celine (I don't remember) say few months ago. I remember that they say that now she will only stay in a big city like for example London as headquartier and than moves to near cities for concerts. Do I remember right?

I have a feeling that Céline really enjoys every minute of being in Paris and performing there. Over the years Las Vegas transformed her into a show girl and took her away from the true artist in herself. She really needed this summer tour. It's a sort of a rest from Vegas and it helps her to maintain the balance in artistic way. Singing there was very practical especially because of her family, but in the other hand the show itself became exhausting for her as an artist.

 

I'm so thrilled to see all those images and videos from the concerts in Paris and Antwerp because it reminds me of Céline's image that made me a fan 20 years ago. I always put the simplicity over the extravagance. Lot of fans talk about how her outfit looks bad and they don't like the fact that she does not change it during a concert. Personally, I didn't make any special opinion about her outfit. I didn't think of it at all because it wan't so important for me. It's not bad, she had worse, but also some better outfits in her career. In the end, who cares?! I was more focused on her performance and the songs. And I loved what I saw.

 

The choice of the songs is a smart move into a right direction. I'm so happy that she sings the songs such as "Tous les blues sont écrits pour toi" or "Le vol d'un ange"...

 

The only thing I dislike about this summer tour is the fact I cannot be there. I really wished to go, but it wasn't possible for me this time because of many reasons... A big thank to everyone who is informing us and transmitting all those great videos.

2) In 2005 during the promo of "On ne change pas" and the welcome she was given in France. The way she cried in the TV shows when they all said she was missed. She had to bite her tongue not to say she really was looking forward to coming to France because she was not happy in Vegas with that Vegas show. It was absolutely ex-haus-ting.

 

Just read between the lines in the video of Star Academie in 2005, when she was cheered and welcomed. The song "Je ne vous oublie pas" means much more to her than we know, its autobiographical. You don't need to be a foreteller to see that she wasn't happy at that time.

 

She did it for René, René wanted her to be in Vegas. René wanted to win millions with that, not Céline. Céline wanted stability for her family, yes, but not at whatever price. She's absolutely sick of the Vegas shows, not about the stability it gave her. But she could have found that stability in many other ways without condemning her to be tied in a sole place for years and years to come. That's not a happy situation, when you cannot be free to sing and do the things you want to do, and you're surrounded just by a team of people who only care about the business side and milking her.

I always felt that Vegas was Rene's dream and Celine felt good about making it possible for him.She put a brave face on it and it is true that it is a stable venue for her. But, the climate isn't great for her voice and I think the glitz and gourmet food was more paradise for Rene than for her. I wish he hadn't extended the contract until 2019 ( are we sure that he did?) because I think she would cheerfully move back to Quebec now.

 

We all noticed how heavy R.C.'s accent is. I think that's a sign that Celine and Rene stuck to a French-speaking circle for the most part. R.C. has homeschooled most of the time. In contrast, Daria Grinkova has no accent in English and can speak Russian fluently also because her family really committed to living in the States.Ilia Kulik and Katia Gordeeva became citizens and Daria and Liza were both born here. Las Vegas/America is a way station for Celine, I think.

If someone have a look in all the setlists of all tours after 1993, he will think than the 2 greatest hits of Celine are MHWGO and LCMM... It is ridiculous that we have to tolerate this song since 1993.
