But the othe Zeho song is on the deluxe too!!

I'll listen to the previews of the remaining 2 bonus tracks. If I like them a lot and feel they fit the album, then I'll buy the Deluxe Edition despite the remastered version of THV.

Thing is I'm not fond of a 2016 album ending with her 1984 vocals.

Nein nein nein. Ms. Dion is concerned about the environmental issues. And she uses 100% recyclable paper for her cds!

I hope the worldwide release info is correct...always such a shame when this isn't available in the USA! I feel like there are plenty of die-hard Céline fans/french music fans that would purchase it. And some of her French catalogue, although limited, is available on iTunes. I really hope they make the album available there, although am hesitate since the EUS single was not. :/

If not, I hope the boutique opens online shortly so we can pre-order physical copies! What an exciting time for all of us! :)

Exactly like it did on the remastered version of DU SOLEIL AU CŒUR and ONCP L'intégrale.

EUS needs to have its music video released and to be performed on television before moving into the next single. The real promo for the song has not even begun!

Well, her team has officially made me mad. They post all about the pre order and all about the artists, and you click the link to go to iTunes and it's NOT available in the US! What is wrong with her team?! Why post all about it and not let the US have it? I am secretly praying her boutique is gonna open this week!

http://www.celinedio...m/news?n_id=331

Who cares about the boutique! This needs to be available to the general public. Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, Spotify...it's 2016! How else are people supposed to discover it? Sony is absolutely ridiculous about this. Why waste all this marketing collateral, the TV appearances, the best press Celine has had in years, when they don't even let us buy her current #1 single?! And everything they send out is full of dead links?! It's a farce.

Please Tweet Sony, Team Celine, whoever else you think can pull some strings. Let's make this happen. #EUSinUS

you are so right! Just because it's in French doesn't mean that it should not be accessible/available in the US. Apart from that they could make even More money with her French music Edited by ryba

Yes! This is what I'm thinking. It makes the most sense to do it like this but they don't make it this easy :hmm:

Quick question... During the 90s, were her French singles available in US? If yes, when did this tactic ended? :hmm:

I'm asking because if no French singles were released in US during her prime, I don't see it happening now! Even if access to singles is easier nowadays.

I don't believe that we ever got French singles here in the US. I certainly never saw them. Even the album D'eux wasn't released here for years, and then it was released with the title "The French Album" SSDA was the first French album of hers that I remember buying when it came out. 1F&4T was released over here as well but that was the last French album that we got as far as I can remember. I don't own Delles, or SA because you just can't get them over here. That's okay with me though, because as much as I love her, I don't speak French, so I rarely put in those albums. If I have Celine on, I want to be able to sing along!!

Pretty excited to see US media actually covering a French release: http://www.ew.com/article/2016/07/18/celine-dion-new-album-encore-un-soir?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter

It doesn't really clarify whether it will actually be released in the US, though.... :hmm: (And don't worry, I already posted a comment telling them that TC wasn't her last release.)

It says that it will be available for pre order on July 21! Maybe we can get it in the US after all, and pre order it Friday. I hope so!!!

"The French Album" was actually released in the U.S. as a proper American release with some promotion in May of 1995, not too long after it was released as "D'eux" in Europe.

Wow! I had no idea. I didn't see it until MUCH later than that. Of course, I lived in Indiana at the time. Hardly anything ever went to Indiana. For good reason!

It doesn't sound dated to me at all. I think it's as perfect a recording as one could expect. She sounds angelic and I can see why Rene loved this song. No need to fix what's not broken. And I very much agree with the below -

Yes, the live rendition we've heard recently is beautiful for its own reasons, and I wouldn't mind a new recorded version, but I also don't mind at all if the album contains the original. I think it's very fitting.

I just hope James shut up and let us actually hear Celine sing

Because some of the interviews he scream almost all the songs

I want to hear Celine sing some of her hits in ORIGINAL KEY!!!

Can you imagine? <3

I think Aldo is making fabolous choices but now there is nothing big show left to promote the english album next year

Celine is everywhere with no album to promote :S

Dion Chante Plamondon was her first French speaking album released in the USA (Celine explained in the Good Morning America interview below that people wanted to discover and asked for her French material at that time). Actually as it sold not too badly for a foreign language album (c. 100.000 copies there), it was one of the reasons René wanted Plamondon to write the follow up and was reluctant to let JJ Goldman be the sole songwriter. Luckily René changed his mind :-D

Regarding D'Eux, it was actually released in 1995 in the USA. Celine even promoted the album during a couple of TV shows, singing Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore.

Here the link to the 14 June 2015 Good Morning America interview and performance: https://youtu.be/3cW-a-47ZME

And the link to her 15 June 2015 Jay Leno's The Tonight Show performance and interview: https://youtu.be/y2kxSn8g5XY

D'Eux eventually sold more than 200.000 copies which was something to be proud of

Based on a 2003 Billboard article (below), SISDA was the least successful of her 90s releases. And with 1F4T, I guess that Sony decided to cut in the costs (at that time you needed to print the album and distributed them physically which had some costs)... hum hum :giggle:

'TISH! YOU SPOKE FRENCH!

Hi Keith,

Celine Dion is to release a new French album, "1 Fille & 4 Types" on Nov. 11. I am curious to find out how much her three previous French-language releases sold in the USA: "Dion Chante Plamondon" (1991), "The French Album" (1995) and "S'il Suffisait D'aimer" (1998).

Thank you,

Andre Fortin

Hi Andre,

"1 Fille & 4 Types" has been preceded by the first radio single and music video, "Tour L'or Des Hommes." The 12-song album is her first French-language set to be released in the U.S. since "S'il Suffisait D'aimer," which was issued in 1998.

Here is a tally of Dion's Nielsen SoundScan sales of her previous three French albums that were released in America: "S'il Suffisait D'aimer" (1998; 103,000), "The French Album" (1995; 230,000) and "Dion Chante Plamondon" (1991; 109,000).

Is anyone else really curious to see how Plus Qu'Ailleurs sounds? I was kinda expecting it to be a slower song, but now that it's the opening song, I wonder if it's gonna be a upbeat song? Not neccisarily fast tempo, but it seems like it'll be more bright then I thought!

No, for the most part you need a credit card with a local billing address.

But regardless, that's not the point. US is the single largest music market in the world; we shouldn't have to go through loopholes and bend over backwards to get material from one of the most commercially successful artists out there. And if you want to share any of this material / spread the word, you simply can't do it. It's not on a any streaming or download service, so how are people supposed to discover it?
