I think she wasn’t with Walter out of deep love, but because he could make her big. That’s also why she deliberately moved from Europe to Quebeck. It’s pretty clear that she saw Celines career as her blue print to fame and success and wanted to follow it desperately, even to the point of obsession. Also, I wouldn’t call Walter a lier. I think the truth lies somewhere in between. Which documentary? The new one that Lara released recently? She talks about Walter in that? I think there's nothing wrong with seeing Celine's career as a blueprint. It's very difficult (for me) to follow the entire Lara saga as much of it is written in French or other languages besides the ones I speak, but I usually defend Lara in general and it bugs me when Celine fans treat her with such disdain. As far as I know, she has never said a bad word about Celine except for one time, and even then I don't think it was personal about Celine herself per se. 1 Quote

It feels weirdly like an early version of the Chrysler ads, but with weird focus put on the yellow car (and polishing!) and before they'd figured out anything about how to do a car partnership spot. Which doesn't seem to have much to do with anything anyway. But then there's a disconnected racing car crash at the end! And what about the second guy - what's he about?! And why is Céline so emotionally polarized?!! It may be the lighting/angle and/or the video quality, but Céline looks very full in the face here - I don't ever remember her like that. Maybe she didn't like how she looked and that's another reason why they didn't release the video (totally illegitimate speculation on my part). 1 Quote

The video looks like it was done as the final project for some film school students or something, I can totally see why they dropped it. Although one good thing I will say about it for me is how they took a naturalistic approach....I think showing Celine's hand at 1:21 and the very small gestures throughout is really cool/intimate.
