I feel that she was still plenty raw performing it 2+ weeks later... and the fact that she messes up the lyrics in her opening night bothers me. plus, she herself wasn't happy with her performance...the only time in her career I can think of where she acknowledges on stage that she didn't like how a song went.

It probably resonates more with first-time parents of a newborn (Céline wasn't at the time, but it hadn't been that long since RC was born), but to most of the rest of us the album is a boring snoozefest. I don't love how her voice sounds on it, either - it might be the production rather than her delivery, but something sounds off. It does have one strong song, though - In Some Small Way is a good track. Everything else would be fine as a one-off or a b-side or something similar, but as an album it just draaaaaaaaaaags oooooooooooon fooooooreeeeeeeveeeeeeer...

In Some Small Way is really good. But after reading this I'm confident I'm not missing anything. Thanks for the explanation!

Yeah it's crazy how you can buy a house and never use it. But what it seems is that many rich people buy houses only as an investment or as something to show off with no intent to live there. I can see at least why not having the money in the bank, I mean it's almost the worst thing you can do with your money. Not that Celine won't be poor any time soon but why having someone else make money of you money when you can make a nice profit yourself. Imo.

Real estate is actually one of the safest places to invest your money. Putting it in the bank is the worst thing to do - you don’t make any money that way, the bank does. (Which I think may have been what you were saying.)The stock market can always be a risk, no matter how conservative you invest, but a home pretty much always increases in value.

That can be true but only if you have your money in diversified stocks. I know people who put all their money in one thing and lost it all - but...you can’t do anything about stupid.

I agree. Have always loved this song! This song, What A Wonderful World, Beautiful Boy, and In Some Small Way are all I ever really listen to from Miracle.

Not necessarily, if you can afford it. Homes usually go up in value after you buy it. If you’re a celebrity, I’m sure your name alone helps in the value of a home. You can sell it for more than you bought it for, usually. So you make a profit.
