chocolatechip15 Posted January 30, 2016 at 03:47 AM Posted January 30, 2016 at 03:47 AM (edited) I think this is the last interview of Celine and Rene together before Rene found out about the cancer in December 2013 (Rene comes in about 2:00). It's such a sweet video, but it's also so hard to watch . . they were so happy, and had no idea what was about to happen. Life can change so quickly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iu72empMPrk Edited January 30, 2016 at 03:48 AM by chocolatechip15 7 Quote

Kinda OT but yesterday I learned my ex was diagnosed on Thursday with lung cancer so I def agree with that statement. Now I've sorta learned to just live life to the fullest everyday good or bad...cause you never know what tomorrow brings. 4 Quote
scielle Posted January 30, 2016 at 10:03 PM Posted January 30, 2016 at 10:03 PM Anyone have a link to Celine's speech after she was awarded the honorary PhD in Laval? I remember seeing this a while back but now can't find it. Quote

Tyler1991 Posted February 4, 2016 at 06:49 PM Posted February 4, 2016 at 06:49 PM I'm surprised at how many people haven't seen that one... she sang it very similarly in Brunei and the london/Milan/zurich/unknown recording. I may be forgetting another bootleg , but I agree that the FIY tour arrangement for TT was my favorite 1 Quote
ryba Posted February 4, 2016 at 07:05 PM Posted February 4, 2016 at 07:05 PM (edited) Did you guys notice that she is on fire and flawless during untelevised and untaped concerts? Probably because she doesn't feel so much pressure Edited February 4, 2016 at 07:06 PM by ryba 1 Quote

I Drove All Night! Posted February 4, 2016 at 07:57 PM Posted February 4, 2016 at 07:57 PM The thing about both these performances is they were before the introduction of "Robot Céline," the FIY and D'eux tours were so magical because Céline was incredibly expressive and unscripted! Once LTAL rolled around she was more "polished" and by polished I of course mean scripted.... I miss the genuine, spontaneous performances. 2 Quote
I Drove All Night! Posted February 5, 2016 at 01:30 AM Posted February 5, 2016 at 01:30 AM There's actually a number of videos from this Berlin concert from June 24, 1997: 1. The Power of Lovehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLDGmguJObk 2. J'irai Ou Tu Iras 3. Only One Roadhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q0eIngIuNE 4. Le Ballethttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87IybgeQ3Yc 5. Because You Loved Mehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPy8ReQEOpc 6. The Power of The Dream (which is... just WOW)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKhFtxltvZw 7. Speeches/Improvs (including a snippet of Was Bedeute Ich Dir (Mon Ami M'a Quittee in German)) Plus Think Twice and IACBTMN posted above. The videos posted by CelDion are in INSANE quality considering they were bootlegs from 1997... I wonder if they have anymore What I would do to see DOL, this concert was spectacular!!! She was so smiley and into it. 1 Quote
Tyler1991 Posted February 5, 2016 at 04:56 AM Posted February 5, 2016 at 04:56 AM (edited) DOL would sound exactly the same as it would every show its been performed at. The opening ad libs in Montreal were my favorite though. She nailed them that night. After that it's just playback. In Ltal tour she never even did the ad libs. As for the power of the dream, my favorite one for that is (I think) the Jones beach performance where she actually sang the ending note just like the album version rather than doing all the crazy changes in the note. There was another tpotd performance where she did the runs but it sounded higher and stronger than typically it does (maybe was an eb5 instead of c#5, I don't remember exactly). Can't remember which performance that is. Let's see, we have Jones beach, memphis, berlin, ghent , and the one at the tv special with IACBTMN, unreleased CD, brunei.... Found it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tIR4gg_Yog Edited February 5, 2016 at 05:02 AM by Tyler1991 1 Quote

I mean, they could always use playback for the choir vocals can't they? They could make use of the big screen and have a huge choir on video. The same would work great for Call The Man & Let's Talk About Love. Edited February 5, 2016 at 02:41 PM by Timster 1 Quote
