I think this was filmed in the home she bought her parents? In her biography, she had described what it looked like and how bright it was--it makes me think this is that house. Also, in this interview, she shows the piece of her mom's nightgown she traveled with then (in her biography, she said she used to sleep with it under her pillow when she had travel away from her home).

She talks about how it's a responsiblity to take care of the people we love -- but how it's also a gift to the living when they are able to accompany the dying person "to the sky" on that last journey. The person who is voyaging on is giving a great gift to those left behind, who are saying "Lead me," "Take my hand." She says it's like taking the hand of a small child while crossing the street. She says something about when people are old, suffering, in pain [didn't get all of that but I think maybe she was saying we have to let them go] -- and she says something about it being a gift by being put in contact with God [i guess by being with them at the moment that they pass on].

Then she talked about her father's death. . she said that her mother said, "I give you permission to leave" . . and that her father "left well" . . basically that he had a good death . . he was loved, and with those words from her mother, he knew - "My wife will be all right. My children, too. She has given me the OK to take this voyage."

Made me cry listening to it . .

I've always thought the same thing. I think she talks in her biography about how it was so bright you needed sunglasses!

But I think she only slept with the nightgown at home (at 3:20ish, she says she doesn't take it with her when she travels b/c she's scared of losing it and that she's already lost/(or had stolen) 3 suitcases). I think she mentioned something similar in the biography.

Either way, it's so sweet to see. . and amazing how open and natural Celine is. How many 22 year olds would admit -- at all, let alone on televsion -- that they sleep with with their mother's old nightgown? But it's so natural for Celine to draw comfort from it, and she's not embarrassed by it at all. I love her!

Celine talks so from her heart, and she says the right things, of how people should be. She is such a good hearted person and she talks such sence. It's so beautiful for any person to be that way. If i could understand it, i would have cried too. Whenever i see her upset, she gets me on the go too.

I hate seeing her upset. I hope this doesn't happen for a very long long time, but she may have to follow in her mother's footsteps and do for Rene what her mom did for her dad. By the way, thanks for translating.

Thank you for the translation. Quite glad I didn't understand it when I watched it. It was mum's funeral yesterday. And I was with her when she passed away. And also with my dad last year when he did.

Oh no, I'm so so sorry. Please accept my condolences for your Mum's passing away, and also your Dad's last year. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May our Dear Lord give you and your family strength, and Bless you my friend. Take care.

Can anyone find the video where Celine sings Donna Summer "Last Dance" in a rehearsal for Star Academie or some Quebec TV spot?

I'm 90% sure that that video where she is crying, is when they went to some kind of home that was named after her Dad, where sick or elderly people are. Is'nt that it?
