Never saw this beautiful performance of TCOML before. The video quality's not great, but the performance is incredible. There are so few live performances of this song. I wish she'd sing it again, someday.

I've never seen this before! I really wish that we could have seen some of these kinds of singing clips and funny jokes on TTEOTW instead of putting the songs from the Boston/Montreal concert. She's so lively and funny! :)

I love this moment! I think some of the girls that were talking about where they'd driven from were on this forum. Celine has the most amazing connection with her audience!

I love both of those videos so much! I am still heartbroken that I had to miss the Omaha concert, she was so close to me, yet I was not able to be there. :teary:

I wish they would have used videos with fan interaction instead of just the songs--at least in the extended DVD so people could have had the option. But, I understand why they didn't.

 

With the scene of her being rushed on stage by that guy for a hug, it seemed like it scared her. Her security seemed to know, because he was with them. But, whoever gave him the okay didn't seem to tell her. There is a clip in TTEOW of her getting in the car after a show and she gives Rene a look like she was irritated. I always thought it was after that show.

 

So, maybe they didn't include certain recordings because she didn't like it and/or they do not want to encourage fans approaching her or interacting with her when she is on stage. Placing it on a DVD looks like her team approves and encourages that behavior. That in turn makes the security even more difficult.

 

People always have mixed opinions about their ability to do so in Vegas. But, her security is clear as are the rules---she doesn't want people coming up to her during the show( certainly cannot blame her. I couldn't believe she would be in the audience at all. As time went on, security around that got tighter. I always thought they should just cut the part with her in the audience. She always said it made her nervous).

 

All that being said, I love TTEOW! It was interesting to see so much of the tour behind the scenes and to see the experience from that perspective.

Can anyone point me to a live performance of Beauty and the Beast that Celine and Peabo did in a studio setting? I don't think it was the recording session, but they were both in a studio setting. I think the year was '92 or '93.

 

It used to be on Youtube but I can no longer find it :(

Yay, Koolan, so good to know you're still a fan/on here occasionally. Damn, that performance of L'amour existe encore for the victims. OMG wow. I think that might be right up there with my fave performances of that song, being, 1, a L'olympia, 2 08/15/08 in Montreal, wasn't there but have a bootleg, and 3 Une Seule Fois. That's right up there!

I never saw a real threat with her being in the audience at the Colosseum. If it were Madison Square Garden, I could see the concern. Idk, I feel like the Vegas venue is a safe place for this type of performance.

Not sure if you're all aware or not -- but one thing that's helping me through this Celine break thus far is the fact that the incomparable ANNIE LENNOX is releasing a new album of classics entitled NOSTALGIA later this month:

 

 

Annie has hinted that this might be her last album. If you're not familiar with Annie's solo work or her work with the EURYTHMICS, check out one of her finest performances at the 2004 Oscars:

 

 

Annie and Celine have crossed paths several times. Celine has stated that Annie remains one of her ideal duet partners. And Celine listed Annie as one of her favorite singers during the FALLING INTO YOU promotion. Celine did appear on Annie's 2007 track SING -- a song to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS.

And do you remember the year when she did this interview where she sang pieces of Money Can't Buy It?? I want to check it if i have this in my collection :) As for Annie, I absolutely love her, it would be a dream come true if they record a duet with Celine. I've been Annie's fan for a long while already, she's amazing. Can't wait for the new album! 'I Put A Spell On You' is really great B)
