Does anyone here remember the Celine Dion tape tree? There was this website where they had, I don't know, maybe 30-40 VHS tapes with all of Celine's appearances on television talk shows and the like spliced together. Perhaps this is where this person got all these rare clips? I only used the tape tree twice - once to get the LTAL tour from Long Island, New York and the other time to get The Millennium Concert. Now, I kind of wish I had done all the tapes!

 

Yes I remember them. I did do all the tapes...now they're stuck in storage but I would love to find them and transfer them. It was an insane amount of videos!

hey everybody guess what happened to me a few days ago: i went on youtube to watch some of celine videos which i like to do a few times a week, & i was looking for celines "through the eyes of the world" documentary movie that i have saved on my favorites & playlist on my youtube account... & low & behold, IT IS COMPLETELY GONE!!!!!!!! & NOT ONLY THAT VIDEO WAS GONE FROM YOUTUBE, BUT SO WERE SEVERAL MORE OF OTHER CELINE VIDEOS THAT I HAVE SAVED TO MY ACCOUNT FAVORITES & PLAYLISTS!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! :pinch: :wtf:

 

so what i did next, since i love "through the eyes of the world" so much & havent watched it in months, i did a search on google for it to find it to download then transfer it to my cell phone or my ipod so that i can be able to watch it, but i didnt have too much luck w/ that, that is until i went to itunes earlier today & found through the eyes of the world on itunes!!!!!!!!!!!! & i also found the taking chances tour concert on there as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so even though they cost me $16 each, i bought them & downloaded them to my ipod,... now this is the FIRST TIME i have ever bought movies or concerts on my i-pod as i usually only can afford to buy songs & a few games every once in a while, but since i was having a really hard time finding any other videos of both "thru the eyes of the world" & "the tc concert" over the internet & no other program would let me download any of those videos to my phone or ipod, so i thought that i should buy these on itunes, that the price is worth it since stupid YOUTUBE JUST HAD TO get rid of those 2 videos & i really like both the documentary & the concert... so thats what i did while i was on itunes & i also bought a few songs for the new year since i havent bought anything on itunes since back in november (back when lmbtl album came out & of course i pre-ordered lmbtl & downloaded it the day of the albums release), & both of celines documentary & concert took an eternity to be downloaded haha, i had to kill the time lol... :w00t:

 

I DONT KNOW WHY BUT YOUTUBE JUST LOOOOOOVE TO GET RID OF CELINES VIDEOS FOR SOME STRANGE CRAZY REASON!!!!!!!! but yet youtube will keep the MOST RIDICOLOUS videos that can be sometimes very vulgar & tasteless on their website, but they wont keep clean & innocent, not to mention very amazing & very entertaining, music videos by a very talented & accomplished singer.... SMDH SMDH lol... i dont understand it at all, does anyone on here would know why celines videos are constantly getting removed from youtube???????? i think its crazy since she has soo many great videos, & just cuz the majority of celines videos dont have a billion, trillion views like the videos of miley, beiber, rihanna, eminem, etc... do, or isnt as popular as stupid videos of ppl doing dangerous stunts & getting themselves hurt for billions of ppl all over the world to see, doesnt mean that her videos shouldnt deserve to stay on youtube when everyone elses videos get to stay on youtube forever... dont the ppl who run youtube, the ones who delete celines videos, realize that even though yes some of celines popularity has died down somewhat in recent years (judging by the sales of the lmbtl album, being banned from american radios, & the decline of popularity of her vegas show & the fact that britney, elton, shania, & rod, who all perform in vegas too, are outselling her now, at least thats what ive read on here a few weeks ago & on other websites as well), she still does have millions of fans out there & her videos should all stay on youtube where they belong, but again i digress lol, **still smacking my head about this lol**... :confused1: :hmm:

 

 

now i have a question for those of you who own an ipod (i have the ipod classic 5th generation in case anyone needs to know), & what i want to know is: is there any way that i can transfer some of celines video from youtube to my ipod classic? i want to try to get some of celines videos from youtube (the ones that are still left & havent been removed from youtube yet lol), cuz i dont see too many more of celines videos available on itunes & the few that they do have on there are a little bit expensive for me right now, i cant afford to buy anymore stuff from itunes for a while, & there are some really good videos of celine on youtube & i wanna save them before youtube decides to axe them like they have been doing to celines videos these days... so do any of you know if i could be able to do that or not? & if i could do that, how do i get it done? like i said earlier, i havent had to download videos on my ipod before until today, i can do it w/ songs easily but im a newby when it comes to download videos & movies lol... for those of you who can be able to help me w/ this, THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad you found the DVD on iTunes and are enjoying it! Usually, when a Celine video is removed from YouTube, it's because it was posted in violation of copyright laws. The companies that put the money into making and producing the DVD don't want people posting it for free on YouTube, because then no one would buy it. Companies can choose how to deal with it when their content is posted onto YouTube -- some request that it be taken down, and others choose to "monetize" it -- that is, have advertising attached to the video. That's why you sometimes have to watch an ad before you can watch the video.

well the thing is, i cant find hardly any of celines cds and dvds or anything much celine-related in my area these days, even in walmart and target in my area dontbhave much celine stuff, heck i was llucky to find the lmbtl album back in november, @ my local walmart and target stores, and they only had a few copies available on the shelves @ the time, and in my area we dont have hardly any music stores @ least where anything celine-related would be available... sad to say barely anybody around here sreems to like celine or her music nowadays... :( cuz shes banned from our ac radio stations, i dont think that celine has ever had a single concert here in baltimore (even before she started in vegas cuz ive been a fan since the early 90s and i dont remember celine ever performing in baltimore @ all), and the stores hardly sell her cds and dvds, (heck my local walmart and target dont even sell any of celines perfumes and ive been wanting to try a little bit of her perfume, just out of curious since im not a big fan of perfume, but i havent been able to find it yet, in fact the stores sell every other celebrities perfumes EXCEPT CELINES!!!!!!!!) so it seems that celine is not much liked in baltimore maryland, in fact i have become the only celine fan here now since most of my friends and former classmates who are-or-were celine fans dont live here in baltimore anymore... :(

From the discussions that I have read, I really never realized that Celine was not so popular in the United States as I thought she would be. I'm really surprised. I wish I had a lot of money, then I would buy whatever you wanted of Celine, and send it to you. Hope you find what you are looking for.

now celime used to be very popular in the usa, she was very popular up until a few years ago... in fact her first vegas show "a new day" was such a humongous hit and thats why they added 2 more years to it, then cesaers palace asked her to come back a few years later and her current show is very successfull too (well was anyway, up until recently according to forum members in the 'celine show' section, and articles on the internet saying that britney and other vegas performers are outselling celine these days and her ticket sales have recently gotten lower and such, and since i have never seen celine in vegas or have seen her anywhere else in concert as of yet, im only going by what i have read and heard from other people about vegas and such)... and celines music also used to be played on the adult contemporary stations in my area as well, even at times when she didnt have any new songs or albums out, (such as during her first stabbatical, 2000-2002, when she had her first child and before "a new day has come" was released), my local a.c. stations played her big hits from the 90s and even ones from the early 2000s, then they just stopped playing her music altogether, which i think is really odd and strange to me, but i digress... i dont know if its like that with all of the adult contemporary stations across the usa, but its become like that here in baltimore, maryland, where most people i know in my age group and younger are mostly into rap/hiphop/dance-club/teen-pop kind of music and we all know celines music is the polar opposite of hiphop and dance club music lol...

 

now i do still have some cds of celine that i got back in the 90s when celine was super popular here in the usa and her cds and music videos were all over the place in all the stores (and youtube and i-pods was non-existant as well lol), i have all of her 90s english albums and the most recent one that i have of celines is "a new day has come", thats the last actual cd i bought of celines (i have songs from "loved me back to life" and "taking chances" on my i-pod, i just dont have the actual cds of those albums, i will admit that i have not bought actual cds in years since i have my i-pod and many of celines older songs are on my ipod as well, and songs from most of her english language albums, and i still have all those cds as well, i just really prefer to listen to my music from my ipod and i have over 1,000 songs on my ipod now, songs from the rest of my cd collection that i still own along with celines, i keep my cds inside a cd wallet since i have moved around and i needed to have more shelf space and all lol, and songs that i also occasionally buy from i-tunes (like i recently did when i bought some songs, some of them released recently and some older songs that werent on my ipod yet that i do have now, and of course the "THROUGH THE EYES OF THE WORLD" MOVIE AND THE "TAKING CHANCES WORLD TOUR CONCERT" AS WELL WHICH YOU ALL KNOW ABOUT LOL)... :) <3 <3

 

and of course thank goodness for youtube, as i have watched alot of celine videos on youtube (such as music videos, rare tracks, concert bootlegs, behind-the-scenes stuff, old interviews, recent intetviews, funny clips of celine being herself, and other rare stuff that cant be found on dvds as of yet, at least that i have never found, and from judging from posts that i have read in these forums, nobody can find them anywhere else besides youtube and the internet)... i just wish that youtube would stop deleting celines videos, especially at such a rapid rate that they have been doing recently, thats why i wanna hopefully get those awesome celine videos transferred and saved to either my cell phone or my i-pod so that i can still keep watching them before they end up removed from youtube, but i dont know how to get videos transferred to my phone or i-pod yet, i only know to transfer songs lol... thank you so much for your kindness, you seem like one of the nicest people ive talked to on here so far, if you lived closer to me i wish i could meet you in person (but south africa is very far away from maryland lol)... but it was great talking to you tonight, talk to you later, have a good night... :) <3 <3

and of course thank goodness for youtube, as i have watched alot of celine videos on youtube (such as music videos, rare tracks, concert bootlegs, behind-the-scenes stuff, old interviews, recent intetviews, funny clips of celine being herself, and other rare stuff that cant be found on dvds as of yet, at least that i have never found, and from judging from posts that i have read in these forums, nobody can find them anywhere else besides youtube and the internet)... i just wish that youtube would stop deleting celines videos, especially at such a rapid rate that they have been doing recently, thats why i wanna hopefully get those awesome celine videos transferred and saved to either my cell phone or my i-pod so that i can still keep watching them before they end up removed from youtube, but i dont know how to get videos transferred to my phone or i-pod yet, i only know to transfer songs lol... thank you so much for your kindness, you seem like one of the nicest people ive talked to on here so far, if you lived closer to me i wish i could meet you in person (but south africa is very far away from maryland lol)... but it was great talking to you tonight, talk to you later, have a good night... :) <3 <3

Oh ok, I hope you do still find some of the concerts or songs you are looking for. Sometimes I look on the Celine Dion PT site, they are sometimes quite quick to upload Celine's music. I know, you're right about YouTube, imagine if we never had them, we would be totally snookered. I use them quite a bit myself. Yea, it would have been nice if we were living a bit closer, would be nice to meet you too. Maybe if there is a DVD or whatever you still would like to get, you could send me a PM, with a short list. We have quite a selection of Celine's stuff here. You never know, a sort of "Father Christmas" might just deliver something small from a friend in South Africa, just a little something.
