I wonder what she is saying in German. I am not sure if she being accurate (I speak zero German), but her German accent makes me think she speaks at least a little German!

I love this video -- Celine is so sweet and natural and adorable! And it's interesting about the German ... there's an interview -- maybe from when she was in Eurovision -- where they were speaking German and Celine looked like she was understanding and responding. I can't find the video now though. And she did sing a German version of Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi:

Actually, the first time she sang Bozo was during the 'C'est Pour Toi Tournée' back in 1985. The song was part of a medley tribute to Féliz Leclerc, a French-Canadian singer songwriter that has become a legend in Quebec.

 

 

In case you wanna see another performance of this song, don't miss this one of the same medley in 1986 as part of a TV special in Quebec called 'Gala 35ème Anniversaire des Rôtitisseries St-Hubert'.

I really miss the Celine from the 1990s decade. Her live performances were lively, powerful, and energetic.

 

I remember watching this. Fab! Then watching Talking Telephone Numbers performance of TR and being disappointed cos she lipped it. But she was doing the Royal Command Performance that night so could understand! Miss those tv performance days!!!

Does anyone have a video of a live performance of "THINK TWICE" where when she get's to the bridge, she actually sings "BABY THINK TWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE" instead of singing "DON'T DO IT BABY NOW DON'T DO IT BABYYYYYYYYYY"???? It always annoyed me that she changed the best part of the song when she sang it live lol

I don't believe such a performance exists. She's done it in the lipsynced performances, but all the live versions I see change that part.

She sings it live like the alternate version that we heard on The Essential 3.0. Does that mean she recorded that one first and just remembers it like that?

I really think the version on The Essential 3.0 is a demo....that one doesn't even have the "NO NO NO NO"

Soundtracks generally don't contribute toward an individual singer's sales. There was a huge fight around getting "The Bodyguard" to count as a Whitney Houston album. A lot of people disagreed because she wasn't the sole artist on the soundtrack, but Clive Davis pulled his strings and the other side waved the white flag.

Titanic was a cultural phenomenon in '97-'98, and it was more than just the song. The soundtrack is a beautiful, beautiful orchestral album -- and it (the whole album) was so successful that they even released a second single at the time -- Southhampton, an entirely instrumental track. The radio stations were mixing it with movie dialogue -- and I distinctly recall the DJ's on either Z100 or WPLJ (two huge NYC stations) laughing at it and calling James Horner "James Horny" -- but, still, they were playing it. An entirely instrumental, classical piece was being played on the biggest Top 40 radio station in New York City. That's how big it was, and it was more than Celine. It also made Enya (the soothing voice on the other tracks) quite well known.
