That's what I was thinking about too. I have the deluxe edition, but it doesn't say anywhere that it's the deluxe, only on the sticker. And in the tracklist there are 20 songs, but it doesn't say deluxe anywhere. Not even on the disc itself.

 

Morover, the German edition I ordered from Amazon looks pretty cheap. The case and the paper are not of high quality...

 

Quality of the cover isn't that good if compared to the digital one (mine is from Amazon Italy). Still thinking the back cover is poor. But if this means less money spent to buy it, I can accept it!

You feel a similarity with Writing's on the wall, Skyfall, Goldeneye, Tomorrow never dies?

I think the beat & guitar behind the chorus mislead you.

Yes, internationaly, I don't think Celine's got real competition - although I never thought Westlife would do so great!!!

Westlife is big in some countries, but not everywhere.

Lady Antabellum mainly have US & a few. Frozen too.

Celine si big everywhere. Plus she will sell more physical copies than anyone on any market.

The #1 worldwide sales can't escape her.

(but the tv promo must come NOW!).

First impressions

 

1. Flying On My Own - still a fun song, not on this album though 8/10

 

2. Lovers Never Die - first I didn't liked her singing and the best, after few listens it grew on up, like it very much 9/10

 

3. Falling In Love Again - yesss this is more like it, the music, her voice, the emotion, the climax love love love it! This can be part of the show 10/10

 

4. Lying Down - love the power, the attitude only it's so hard to hear what she is singing 8/10

 

5. Courage - beautiful beautiful, the emotion, music 10/10

 

6.Imperfections - very modern, love the beat 8/10

 

7.Change My Mind - YES! The sound, the lyrics! First I thought the song could do without the notes, but I love them sooo much now. She can make a album full with these songs! And do it live 10/10

 

8.Say Yes - love the music, her voice, very Skies Of LA, nice simple song. 7/10

 

9. Nobody's Watching - good beat, funny chorus, still think it's somehow to slow for it's title. Big note was a no for me. 6/10

 

10. The Chase - first I was afraid to get 'New Dawn II' the refrain reminds me of another song. Loved it from there, nice feelgood song. Get a little bit of The Corrs vibe from it. Makes me feel very summer 8/10

 

11. For The Lover That I Lost - don't like her voice, don't know what it is, but the first part sounds like there is something in front of the mic 6/10

 

12. Baby - too much wanna be Sia, easy to sing along with the chorus, but not a Céline song for me 6/10

 

13. I Will Be Stronger - beautiful song, wish she would sang it with a clearer voice, love the choir 7/10

 

14. How Did You Get Here - I like this kind of music, very weird to have Céline do such song. Like it very much the best, the choir, I can see this one live 7/10

 

15. Look At Us Now - don't like that deep voice of her, but it has a nice beat, the choir is beautiful. 8/10

 

16. Perfect Goodbye - reading all the comments about her saying s*** I was very curious and afraid. When it started it got me right on my feet. It's haunting

Goodnight baby, kiss me now, don't make me sad. LOVE LOVE LOVE I say next single and sing it on tour! 10/10

 

17. Best Of All - mellow easy song. Need a few more listens, doesnt do a thing to me yet 6/10

 

18. Heart Of Glass - luckily less Sia sounding. But the chorus made me think she gonna start yodeling. The ending I don't like.

Since she loves her some Sia songs, I love to see Celine perform this one during the tour 8/10

 

19. Boundaries - 10/10 no words. You just know in the first 10 seconds you know what this song feels to you. Amazing, chills. Skip Imagine and sing this as encore and I never ever complain about that setlist.

 

20. The Hard Way - the chorus, the choir just WOW! Celine show some courage and add this song, make a gospel choir go with you on this and SING your heart out 10/10

 

21. Soul - I saw the lyrics first so didn't expect a song like this, like the beat, uplifting 8/10

 

 

Overall beautiful done, coherent.

Need to get used of her singing voice. But different sometimes but luckily there are songs that remind me of the past.

 

I could have do without these songs, and instead the bonus ones deserve a place on the regular.

Please forgive me but I am fed up with all the complaining for stupid things...

It is ok to give our opinion, I have given mine a lot recently.

 

But after all, nobody can deny that She has done her greatest effort since 1999 I think.

 

It must be hard for her to see every five minutes:

 

I have read people offended for the most ridicuolus things : Celine's promoting witchcraft, saying s**t in a song, not being thankful to fans, releasing the album with a lot of songs or with too few songs, the throat voice, the pronunciation, the sound is not modern, the sound is too modern, not enough videos, awful B&N videos, too much Sia, where is PMLALS, why this, why that, give me more, and more and I'll be never satisfied...

 

Again, it is ok to express opinions... but why do you express as if we had real right to complain?

So my copy arrived today and guess what. The package is damaged! I wish I bought it in a store...

Same here! It looked someone ripped away the plastic with a knive: big scars in the case.. And since I already had opened the cd I could not send it back. I called the service number and got a discount and used an old jewelcase with no scratches..

'no more to say' in Heart of glass: First listenings, it sounded like she sang in italian on these words.

'till I read the actual lyrics.

 

She sings "a light to hoe" in the Hard Way.

That's her take on Police's Roxanne, I guess.

(truly, I thought she meant 'a light to home" instead of 'to hold'. I like my interpretation better and will sing it like that. Same for Party like a believer. )

Well, she does it because otherwise YouTube is going to demonetize the video... In my channel it has happened that I have to be very careful with the duration of the clips if I do not want youtube to penalize me.
