Celine's music is distributed by the Columbia Records label in the US, which is owned by Sony Entertainment. Most artists are under one of several giant labels now or one of their imprints. Like Universal Music Group covers many others.

This is the English album I've been waiting for, and I say that as someone who enjoyed a lot of both TC and LMBTL. I think I could probably write an entire essay on my thoughts about it. This is me trying to be succinct :giggle: :

  • Change My Mind! Within the first 5 seconds I knew I'd love it. I *love* the slightly unusual production.
  • Say Yes is such a gem! An absolute standout for me. I love it "stripped back" songs from Céline, and there's such a tenderness about that song
  • Loving The Chase as well. Céline + acoustic guitar is one of my favorite things, and it's surprisingly rare in her discography.
  • Nobody's Watching reminds me of Jonas Brothers' Only Human, which is a good thing, IMO
  • I like For The Lover That I Lost, but I'd like it more without the vocal affectation/effect (I can't tell if it's Céline or the producer) that makes her sound like Cher on the chorus.
  • I like Baby, but it's kind of frivolous, and I wish it didn't sound so much like Sia karaoke. Especially on the "you-ou-ou" of the chorus.
  • How Did You Get Here is another standout for me. I love when Céline goes "retro" (like on No Living Without Loving You or Dreamin' Of You).
  • HEART 👏 OF 👏 GLASS 👏 It'd fit perfectly on Taylor Swift's recent album, and I mean that in a good way. Very au courant.
  • Best Of All :wub:
  • Personally, I tend to avoid listening to songs with profanity, and I don't think it's necessary in Perfect Goodbye -- there were plenty of other ways to write the line -- but the song is so good, that it doesn't bother me too much.
  • I think this is, maybe, the most lyrically interesting album of her English discography. Where LMBTL felt like she was getting leftovers from other artists and trying to cobble something together, this album feels like she received or sought out songs that had real significance and meaning for her.
  • Truly impressed with how strong and "of the moment" the production is, even knowing some of these songs were recorded 2+ years ago.
  • Overall, I'm really pleased with the album. It's got variety, but still feels (mostly) cohesive. I am excited to live with the album and see how it evolves with multiple listens. Brava, Céline!

The review is super positive. It corresponds more to a 4 stars than a 3 1/2 stars.

Who is singing with celine on Look At Us Now?

This is def a fave of mine!!

 

The more I listen, Nobody's Watching is moving into one of my faves as well. I love them all for different reasons!! It's so hard to pick just one as an all time favorite.

I read earlier they appear on itunes or google music, don't quite remember right...

I can't believe her website didn't put the lyrics there yet :unsure:

The official lyrics can be found on her YouTube channel. They've uploaded the whole album and included the lyrics in the description. I saved them from there.

It's annoying that they haven't updated her website with the official lyrics yet, but at least they can be found on her YouTube channel now.
