Devastated I don't think there's one song I'll listen to except Lying Down. Shaun Posted November 15, 2019 at 01:09 PM Posted November 15, 2019 at 01:09 PM I think it's delibarate... first she loves to imitate (and you can hear it in the Sia songs and the Maty Noyes one), 2nd some songs have a certain vibe and she tries to sing it in that style (too much sometimes). I'm wondering what has been the producer's role in this, coz I can understand it in some cases, but in others, it kinda ruins the song... It’s a good point you make about the imitation and most likely what is going on. Above all though surely the words should be understandable regardless of how she chooses to sing. For me there are certain words on certain songs I have genuinely had to look at the lyrics to see what is being sung. Like you say surely the producer should be correcting this, I can’t imagine it was the result they were going for. Maybe a bit star struck by Celine perhaps? I’ve already listened to the album again and certain tracks are already growing on me. If it doesn’t click with you straight away I certainly understand but please do go back and listen again. Have only listened to the first few of the newer tracks that weren't already released so far. Am really enjoying it, but I have to say it is not vocally her strongest album. But I know it is not all about that, it is the tone and the meaning of the songs. The one real criticism I have is what is going on with the CD insert? The graphics on the front are great, then you open it up and it looks like, well I don't know. It certainly doesn't look that professional and the one gold outfit is hideous. Anyway, as long as the music is good, I'm happy. The case will sit on the shelf and barely get opened anyway. 1 Quote
