"Courage" album - Official Topic

After just one listen of the album, my favorite song is HEART OF GLASS! Really love it!!! Wow!! Should have been on the standard edition and used as the first single!

Other than that I also really liked The Chase and How Did You Get Here!

But I need to listen to the album a few more times. I feel other songs are gonna grow on me! Goodnight!!

The album jumped first to #27, but just now it went to #2 on US iTunes. I was worried for a moment lol. and the standard edition is @ #50.

In the US, Courage is at #2... as we had predicted... she's facing tough competition from Lady Antebellum, which is currently No. 1. Here is hoping the bundle release will work.

Thankfully she is ahead of them when combining the deluxe and also she is several places ahead in amazon. And there still will be physical sales in stores. That will help, that benefits Celine. Lady antebellum is a good band, and they are gonna make it a little harder, but not impossible! (I actually really like them too!)

In Canada, Courage is currently at #2. No. 1 is Luke Combs, I have no idea who he is but obviously he's big there.

It's at No. 2, being held off from the top spot by Lady Antebellum

Right. Imagine thousands of people streaming Boundaries, or any of her own material for that matter, after hearing her perform it as her closer. That would translate to more success in the charts or popularity among her audience.

 

This is really the best song she's done in so long. And if she sang it at the end it would stay in their minds right?

I’m not sure I like it at all. Her voice. Each song sounds the same. Ugh. I’m actually so sad. Devastated I don’t think there’s one song I’ll listen to except Lying Down. So sad

I dont think any reasonable member of her audience actually expected her to belt considering the impromptu performance took place past midnight. That she graced the occasion is what matters. The colorable performance she gave was a bonus.

Wow.... I think really think Souls is a drug.... I'm addicted to it now.... So danceable and fun to listen to and wonder why it is not feature on standard version.

My thoughts so far after listening to Celine’s Courage album at the listening party and again this morning:

 

* Lovers never die: Like it and think it’s a grower.

* Falling in love again: Not sure, I think it needs a few more listens.

* Change my mind: Stood out for me on Tuesday night, and again today, love it!

* Say yes - Is beautiful, relaxing, and think the instrumental and backing vocals could be used at a spa. Lol

* Nobody’s watching - When the guitar started the other night everyone was like ohhhh, again I love this one and this could be a single with a slight remix/tweak.

* The chase - Lovely song, love the “running, running, running” bit especially.

* For the lover that I lost - Omg, the words in this... must have been hard for her to sing... a few takes on this one I think in the studio.

* Baby - After reading Sia’s tweet about how Celine sang this, I was most excited to hear this... and I’m not disappointed, I was just expecting more after that tweet.

* I will be stronger - There for me is one on every Celine album, ( the skipper )... not a fan.

* How did you get here - This could be huge and sounds xmassy with the instruments... love love love it!!!

* Look at us now - Love how soulful and deep her voice is on this, another easy listen.

* Perfect Goodbye - Not sure on this one yet?!?
