Del Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:28 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:28 AM I'd hate to see how some would handle a real life crisis just by seeing some of the replies here today. Relax people, you can't worry about something you can't control. What's done is done. Screaming at each other will get us nowhere. This is a time where we should all be overjoyed (can't believe I used the word) about the album coming out or if you decided to listen excited about the songs you're obsessed with. fred Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:28 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:28 AM Never! 😜 I am gonna wait till official snippets and so on. Or next friday. 😊😊😊 Fred, you seem so curious about the songs... I think you should just listen to the album. I'm holding off until Celine tells me when I can do that. Hopefully before the 15th. 1 Quote Peace and love to all.

DionFanAlways Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:31 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:31 AM All of the new songs sound so similar like super similar.Oddly tho, “Lying Down”, “Courage”, and “Imperfections”‘ sound different than the rest. These new songs are worlds apart from what her "greatest hits" tour is right now. I don't know how you mesh the two together. I'm fearful we won't see any changes to the tour. 2 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
fred Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:32 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:32 AM That sounds so good! I am so done with the playing it safe albums she's used to do. A "either love or hate it" album sounds very good to me indeed, that's the way it should be. Trying to please everyone kills all creativity. I agree with whoever said that you will either LOVE, or HATE this album...the sound is definitely like nothing else from her catalogue before. Now I can also understand why the “Courage” tour doesn’t include a lot the songs tho, not because they aren’t good but I have a hard time picturing a show with many of the new songs alongside BYLM, or ABM etc. 5 Quote Peace and love to all.
jolo87 Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:36 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:36 AM It doesn’t sound RnB to me, I can’t describe it. I’ll just say the sound is not what I was expecting. Its definitely not a modern rnb sound at all, but kind of a pop-soul fusion on a few songs. Kind of like a lighter Amy Winehouse vibe. But not what I was expecting at all! 3 Quote

fred Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:38 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:38 AM (edited) Indeed! If her new era has a new sound she could (and SHOULD) incorporate thar in her old hits on tour too. So tired of her karaoke shows - singing both karaoke to her own old tunes and to the covers. Why don't they ever try out something new with the old songs? It shouldn't be impossible at all.... sadly this comes off as "lazy" but I bet it's just conservative and a mindset that her audience "can't handle change". Water And a Flame Madonna still performs songs from the 80's with new arrangements to fit her current tour, that thing is missing at some point in Celine's team Edited November 4, 2019 at 02:39 AM by fred 5 Quote Peace and love to all.
fred Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:44 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:44 AM Which one did LP do? And which one is the Aoki track - is it a dance track or did he "do a Guetta" and added nothing new to her reportoir but gave her something she has already done a thousand times? Well, let's start by saying that the whole album in general sounds homogeneous and consistent, very different from Loved Me Back To Life. I will discard the 4 songs already heard before and focus only on the other 12. "Lovers Never Die", for me it should not be in position number 2, coming from an opening very high as is FOMO, the dynamics go down completely."Falling In Love Again", perfect to include in the tour. Intimist, calm, but does not get to have that "depressive" dye that has (for example) "A Song For You". Here, Celine's voice shines as usual, in the few high points of the song."Change My Mind", one of the best on the album in my opinion. Fresh, new, current ... yes, the treble at the end I think they are - if I'm not mistaken - the highest in study since "All By Myself". Beautiful."Say Yes", like "Falling In Love Again", perfect for inclusion in the tour, I would not mind if they were hooked. Quiet and beautiful. It reminds me of "A La Plus Haute Branche""Nobody's Watching", the perfect complement to "Imperfections". It reminds me a little of "Treat Her Like A Lady"."The Chase", perfect for a movie, at this point I begin to think that, saving the distances, we are facing a new "A New Day Has Come" (in concept of 'album' I mean)."For The Lover That I Lost", another of the low points of the album in my opinion. I get the impression that here Celine wanted to somehow 'imitate' the voice of Sam Smith. It's fine, but it doesn't convince me."Baby", another work by Sia. For me it must be on the tour if or if, it is very applicable to the stage and I imagine that the public will like it. Catchy and with a very good pace. Very nice."I Will Be Stronger", I imagine her next single with everything and video. Very beautiful and, in my opinion, hopeful."How Did You Get There", something I never imagined that Celine could sing in these times, goes and does. Perfect. I imagine the video clip set in the 50s, very retro. "I Love You" came to mind."Look At Us Now", I love it, but I see Celine's way of singing weird, maybe that's what doesn't quite convince me. It reminds me of one of the songs of Taking Chances."Perfect Goodbye", it doesn't seem to me that it has been good as closing the album, I think I would have replaced it with PMLALS or Boundaries (because of the little that could be heard from the latter). This is what I was able to draw in conclusions after two listeners in a row from the entire album. We will see how I follow later. Quote Peace and love to all.

Overjoyed Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:49 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:49 AM (edited) Which one did LP do? And which one is the Aoki track - is it a dance track or did he "do a Guetta" and added nothing new to her reportoir but gave her something she has already done a thousand times?I suppose that the LP track it's "How Did You Get There" (and I'm really in love with this style on a Celine album). From Aoki, no news... Maybe next year for the another album (also with PMLALS)Edit: it's "Change My Mind" (also love it) Edited November 4, 2019 at 02:50 AM by Overjoyed 1 Quote
fred Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:57 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 02:57 AM Sounds as if some may think FOMO stands out production wise.... cannot see why they couldn't had made changes to it to make it fit the album better. Coz most of us have called it "dated" since this summer.... and if "they read this forum" like some claim they could have used that feedback and polished it up a bit before november.... fred Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:01 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:01 AM I get the impression How Did You Get Here (weirdest title ever from Céline in ENG) is somewhat oldschool but at the same time current. Almost like a Winehuse, Duffe, Lana kinda sound?? If so swell!! THAT's quality and a setting I really haven't dared to wish for Céline to step into. 2 Quote Peace and love to all.
Angel2006 Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:03 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:03 AM I am saddened that Celine's album has been illegally leaked online, but I know that's unfortunately how things go for the most part these days. I don't think Celine is personally effected by this leak. Celine knows that her fans will still stand by her and legally stream the album and buy the physical CD anyways, even if they've listened to the leaked album. Celine has never cared about sales. Yes, I'm sure she's disappointed, but Celine knows these kinds of things can happen all the time in the music industry and I sure she was prepared for it in some way. I will personally be waiting until Nov 15th, because I've already held off this long so far. I've only heard Flying On My Own because I like the element of surprise. 1 Quote
fred Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:03 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:03 AM Sorry but I simply don't get why some people wish we wouldn't discuss the album in here.... It's "the new album thread"! Where would we talk about it? If you don't want to read anything about it before the 15th then why click your way in here? 2 Quote Peace and love to all.
fred Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:11 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:11 AM Sounds as if there isn't any dance track on the album besides FOMO? Then why did a review state somthing like that before? Wasn't there mention of "dancethems" or whatever it was called? And no Aoki? I am quite sure he was mentioned to be a part of this album. And some her joked that it may just be the Demix for A. Quote Peace and love to all.
dyusha Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:11 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:11 AM Well after listening to the album several times my opinion is that you will either love it or hate it as i don't see people saying it's ok. My opinion is I don't like it at all :- 6 years of waiting for that !!! if these are the best songs she recorded i don't even wanna hear the rest- Now I understand why there are not more songs off this album on the world tour boring setlist. Thank GOD- When i am listening to this album it feels like i am listening to the same song again and again (with some variations of course). It makes this album very boring- My main problem with this album is her interpretation she's not singing she is crying and it is too bad because the voice is quite good (on the technical aspect). This album makes me feel sad but not the good sad the bad one like depressed- In the end, the 3 songs previously released are by far (very very very far) the best songs of the album. To sum up : This album is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. This is the first Celine's album that i won't buy (I am a big fan since the early 90's).This is the second disappointment that i have in a row from Her after the boring setlist of the world tour with that godamn awful entry in a "megalomaniacal and narcissitic mode" :Applaude me and then i shall sing to you. Her last 2 projects are seriously lacking simplicity and generosity. Wasn’t going to jump on this wagon due to the risk of sounding like a hypocrite (since I’m against leaking and all)But the emotions have gotten the best of me and I just can’t resist I would have to agree with Only one Celine. I am very respectful of other opinions and I sincerely wish for this album to be a success despite my personal reservations. However this type of music is not for me. I would never buy this CD it was by a different artist. The fact that it’s even being released at all is disturbing to me. To record 48 songs across 6 years and those are the ones that made the cut? Seriously?? I get the whole Celine trying to express herself thing and not trying to please everyone. But if that was the case, why perform so many fan favorites during the tour? I accept the change and the evolution of her musical style. This, I do not see it as evolution from any standpoint, but rather a detriment to the legacy that she and Rene had built. Never thought I would say this, but I would feel much better if she retired after completing the projects she and Rene had already planned. (Insert angry hate comments here lol). No, I am not trying to silence Celine’s creativity or say she should stick with what she knows. Just don’t want to settle for anything that’s not the best I guess 1 Quote I'll always be with you
Angel2006 Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:15 AM Posted November 4, 2019 at 03:15 AM I held off listening to the preview of PMLALS until now, but since it's officially not going to be part of the album, I decided to listen to it. I honestly wish I didn't though, because I like the song so much and now I'm a little sad that it's not going to be a part of the album. I don't know why these musical gems get the boot, but I understand that not all songs can make the final cut in the end. Hopefully PMLALS will make it onto a future album. Fingers crossed. 1 Quote

I mean I could see them adding 1-2 new songs for the US set but at the same time she hasn’t toured in so long so the “Greatest Hits” really do make sense for this leg. However there are many many uptempo songs - Nobody's Watching (same beat as Make you Happy) - Baby (uptempo ballad, like Chandellier but on a more relaxed and positive note) - Change My Mind (uptempo pop-soul) - Look at us now (it could be a typical uptempo Maroon 5 song) - The Chase (uptempo country-rock song, a bit like Sheryl Crow) - Lovers Never Die (uptempo rnb ballad) 1 Quote
