AdrienneM Posted October 27, 2019 at 10:27 AM Posted October 27, 2019 at 10:27 AM She is a smart woman. They will have pre recorded a ton of interviews, we already know they have in the days leading up to the premiere night, she was recording interviews all day. I also wouldnt put it past her to hit NYC and do a daytime and a pre recorded night time appearance before heading up to Montreal, also could pop into Kellys show when shes down in Vegas seeing the kids. Considering it seemed almost all of the Interviews done before QC were European, I think they've strategised well by announcing tour dates and having local interviews recorded, also saves her the trouble of exhausting herself during her week off before being back on the road Quote
celinesounds Posted October 27, 2019 at 10:50 AM Author Posted October 27, 2019 at 10:50 AM please no, she is nowhere near David Foster and I personally really dislike My Love. It's boring and depressing Celine has sang ML with her heart, not with her voice 1 Quote #FREEJAVITO

smw Posted October 27, 2019 at 06:14 PM Posted October 27, 2019 at 06:14 PM (edited) I imagine all the interviews she pre-taped will be rolled out for album promo. Also -- we know they at least have the Lying Down video ready to go which will hopefully also roll out the week of the album release.I hope she does at least a couple BIG appearances -- Jimmy Fallon, SNL, Jimmy Kimmel, Kelly Clarkson (because Celine and Ellen just don't get along), The Voice (Gwen and Kelly LOVE her!) and something unexpected. But even if Celine does absolutely nothing else, I'm hoping the concert ticket bundle with catapult her album to #1. Also, in other news, Lying Down passed 4 million views on YouTube! This is the kind of song the general public expects / wants from Celine Dion. Edited October 27, 2019 at 06:15 PM by smw 2 Quote

However, tho Celine and Ellen have zero chemistry her show is almost a mandatory move, it’s by far the highest rated daytime show. So I hope she goes, they could just have her perform and cut the interview since they are always so awkward. She had so much chemistry with Rosie (another comedian) I wonder why Ellen is a awkward. Hell, she has way better chemistry with Both Jimmys then Ellen. But yes, I can see her and Kelly Clarkson having that chemistry she had with Rosie in the 90s. Quote

And Celine and Oprah. And Celine and Jay Leno. She really became an Icon at the perfect time and she had the support of the talk shows! I really like Ellen. It's just so weird that she and Celine have never gotten along. But I think Ellen can be a little difficult sometimes and she's never learned how to mesh with Celine. I don't know if she thinks Celine is a diva? But Ellen has befriended some true divas -- like Mariah, etc. So I just don't get it. Maybe the language barrier? Celine doesn't seem to like Ellen's sarcasm but sometimes Ellen's sarcasm comes across as mean. And we've seen Celine joke around and understand sarcasm with other interviewers so I just don't get it. 2 Quote

I think Celine doesn’t get Ellens humor at all, and then was turned off by her since the first interview... and in return Ellen probably thinks Celine is too uptight. But yes it’s probably the language barrier that has Celine turned off by her humor. Because Celine always seems game for a joke/ humor when it comes to Jimmy Fallon, Kimmel, Leno, Rosie.... so I think it’s something about Ellen’s form of comedy. But then again I may just think that because I never found Ellen funny in the first place, never really cared for her humor. Edited October 27, 2019 at 06:34 PM by Nmj 1 Quote
Dancing_Queen Posted October 27, 2019 at 07:24 PM Posted October 27, 2019 at 07:24 PM Has it always been this way, Ellen and Céline being so awkward? Or did it start when Ellen kept badgering Céline about RC's hair? I've never liked Ellen at all (always seemed disingenuous to me). I've since heard many stories about her being really hard to work with/for. Her and Céline not getting along only confirms it in my eyes. Céline is good with people, she'd see right through it. I sincerely hope they manage to avoid each other from now on, because it makes for cringeworthy television... 4 Quote

So I hope she does the show. Quote
mirage Posted October 27, 2019 at 07:44 PM Posted October 27, 2019 at 07:44 PM Since she is doing rescheduled shows now I guess the 'time off week' wasn't that important. I think we should take in mind that she won't be doing a lot of TV shows. Just a few prerecorded interviews. Would be great though to see her on late night shows again I highly doubt they left that week empty when the album just so happens to drop at the same time. Quote

Tyler1991 Posted October 28, 2019 at 01:05 AM Posted October 28, 2019 at 01:05 AM The biggest hope i have is that thru promo we see multiple songs from the album live. Realistically i know the tour is not going to see the addition of any new songs. Maybe FOMO, but were capping out at 4 or 5 of 20 songs total. To me that is unacceptable and i hope even if its just one promo show we get multiple more live. 4 Quote

They should do that small LA venue where she announced her tour or the NYC Edison Ballroom she did during LMBTL area; as a free one night only, and only do like 2-3 hits with multiple from the new album and record it for promo or television special or go live on Facebook. ryba Posted October 28, 2019 at 07:56 AM Posted October 28, 2019 at 07:56 AM (edited) I would love a one night only event where she performs all the new songs from the album and only 3 hits. Then release it on CD and DVD and Netflix Edited October 28, 2019 at 07:56 AM by ryba 7 Quote
manu23 Posted October 28, 2019 at 07:59 AM Posted October 28, 2019 at 07:59 AM (edited) I'm pretty sure Celine is going to promote this album a lot (as she always do). They planned a two weeks break from the tour just for that. Now with the re-scheduled Montreal shows the plan has probably changed a bit but I'd be surprise if she doesn't do all major shows, including AMAs on Nov 24th. couldawouldashoulda Posted October 28, 2019 at 12:53 PM Posted October 28, 2019 at 12:53 PM a CBS special??? i wouldn't mind I don’t think anyone does TV specials to launch an album anymore, do they? That was a big deal in the late 90s/early 00s. It seemed like EVERYONE had a tv special for their album. But I don’t recall seeing those in at least a decade. I think those have “fallen out of favor” so unfortunately I highly doubt there will be a TV special for Courage. It should’ve been filmed by now anyway in order to have it edited/vocals cleaned up and we’d have heard about it being filmed. Quote

Xpresso Posted October 28, 2019 at 05:39 PM Posted October 28, 2019 at 05:39 PM I think it would be more important to do promo the week after Courage is released since she will get some great numbers on week 1 thanks to the ticket bundle. A new day... Posted October 28, 2019 at 07:44 PM Posted October 28, 2019 at 07:44 PM As much as I love Ellen, it is true that when she and Celine are together it looks so awkward. I think that’s because Celine doesn’t have the same sense of humor. Ellen is always being sarcastic and I don’t think that’s the kind of humor Celine likes. 1 Quote
