My take is she gets all that when she's insecure and maybe unsure of the interviewer's agenda. One that uses sarcasm doesn't really add a safe ground for her to relax on ontop of that. I find that when Céline seems safe and met by a grounded person oozing good intentions, she relaxes, lets her humble way show better, has better timing and can also be funny with the right amount of humour. I do like Ellen but she is very full of herself. Celine is too but she has good reason when most the world has treated her as a queen for her whole life... Ellen seems like she tries too hard around Celine and there is an underlining tone that I don’t like. She never seems to find Celine funny and makes it awkward. I think Celine doesnt get Ellens humor at all, and then was turned off by her since the first interview... and in return Ellen probably thinks Celine is too uptight. But yes its probably the language barrier that has Celine turned off by her humor. Because Celine always seems game for a joke/ humor when it comes to Jimmy Fallon, Kimmel, Leno, Rosie.... so I think its something about Ellens form of comedy. But then again I may just think that because I never found Ellen funny in the first place, never really cared for her humor. the thing is, i feel everything Ellen says or does is fake. She is constantly playing the role of an actor in a sitcom ( yes she had one) - i don’t feel she is really herself in the show. Quite the opposite. She does a lot of shows, sometimes she might look tired and crabby. At the end of the day she’s a very kind woman, her sense of humour isn’t for everybody and doesn’t connect well with Celine. Does not make her fake. Of course you all know everything about everyone in this forum, not to mention the right answer to every question...how could I possibly forget? 14 Quote
