I’ve literally no idea what to expect for this album.

 

The amount of people she’s seemingly worked with, the amount of songs recorded, the time it has taken....I literally have no idea what to expect.

 

Will it be more Ashes or more Flying On My Own?

 

Above all else I hope after all this time it’s original songs. PLEASE!

Why is that so important?

Especially since so many of her best / most successful songs are covers? (ABM, POL, IACBTMN...I could go on.)

And let's face it, the covers she chooses are usually miles ahead of the originals on her albums, in terms of pure songcraft.

I just really, truly don't understand this aversion to covers.

Just an observation(could be completely wrong).. noticed that when FOMO was premiered, when TC tweeted, it was a question “FOMO means fear of missing out or does it?”....now we have the new tweet that states “Céline Dion is everywhere or is she?”...maybe a clue- I’m just throwing that out there haha I could be wrong

That wouldn't be a bad thing. It would be the same as when she had a whole album written by JJG. At least it would for sure have the consistency many here want and feel lacking in her last few English albums. And if Sia were to write her an album with all songs created specifically for Celine then even better. They would be have that Sia touch that Celine likes, but still be all Celine.

 

Three songs by Sia isn't a bad thing.

 

Please let's not compare between them, JJG is in 20 levels above her and for a reason his songs

were hits and survived the test of time.

how do you know that these songs are bad, you havn't listen to them yet. I think it's always a personal thing for everybody to decide, if one likes a song or not, but I would't blame the songs, before giving them a chance. And for my part I'm sure, the songs will be great

 

I think the songs of Sia doesn't deliver any real emoticon, poor melodies, and yes, you can read even here comments

that X song by Sia sound a lot like Y song by Sia, the same music style, the same mumbling way of singing everytime and

anytime.

 

I'm afraid Celine won't start to do the mumbling singing as well, I can't find words to describe how annoying Sia sounds

when she "sings" like that.

 

I've heard one time "Lying down" and never came back to this short track we've heard some seconds from it.

I'm sure there are many talented artists out there, that can do much more interesting songs for Celine

than the usual stuff from Sia.

 

I even think it will be more interesting to hear song composed by Lana Del Rey in Celine's voice

but that's something that might never happen, it will be too good to come true.

I wasn't comparing them as writers, I was making a parallel between Celine having an album fully written by JJG and a potential album fully written by Sia.

 

Not to get too into a discussion but just because you like JJG and don't like Sia doesn't mean she's less of a songwriter. Sia has several hits sung either by her or others. Besides, songs not becoming hits doesn't mean they're bad or less then the ones that are hits imo.

Pls name a few artist that in the lead with Celine who still topping the chart and do well on YouTube channel when releasing their new album?? Mariah? Madonna?

 

Generation changed, we just need to move on, today music world is never meant for singer like Celine, Mariah or even Whitney if she is still with us.

 

They have achieved enough recognition during their times and award wining, chart topping are not important anymore.

 

Every Era will sure have someone to shine such as those days we have Barbra, Tina, Aretha, they are all big but when Celine, Mariah and Whitney Era come, they just have to make way.

 

No doubt Celine is famous for her signature powerful ballad but She can't be forever doing that.

 

How I wish I would again getting another To Love You More II, only one road version II but it turned out, we are getting shadow of love, surprise surprise, fade away.... But still I love them all.

 

I'm blessed n happy that Celine still doing recording and we might not get IAcBTMN version 2 that will wow the world like Adele set fire in the rain or rolling in the deep but still I love Celine music for her versatility in music genre and taking chances.

 

FOMO sounds dated to me but... I still play the song as and when.

 

How does a moment last forever can't never touch me as much as beauty and beast but still I play it sometimes when I miss Celine music.

 

Celine today music hardly could leave a greater impact like those days except ANDHC album which I still play it quite regularly but as compared to Falling Into You Era still is lack of something

 

 

I grow up n listening to Celine back in my early 20s and now I'm almost 40s,i aged and things changed along the way, if I changed and move on, why can't Celine.....

"Heart Of Glass", a new song composed by Sia produced by the same guy of Chandelier.

This is promising. I hope we will get something similar to ''Chandelier'', ''Never Give Up'' and ''Move Your Body'' (these two songs were also co-written by Sia and Greg Kurstin).

Because we want to enjoy the ride of discovering lyrics for the first time, yes Interpretation is important but I like hearing songs that haven’t been sung before by another artist, that’s just my opinion tho.

 

I don’t mind a cover song like “Falling Into You” because I never knew it even was a cover song but songs like “Alone” or “At Last” can stay away because they are so well known, fine if she insists on singing them live ( tho I wouldn’t rather she not ) but we don’t need them on her albums.

Huh? If you never got the chills with powerhouse ballads like Je t'aime encore and I Know What Love Is, included in this album, I don't know what type of song gets to you And the more radio friendly songs like Faith, Reveal and Naked are some of her best pop songs here imo.

 

Wish we had another "unmemorable" album full of songs like those in One Heart, I could live with this album forever and ever before any other fiasco wannabe album like LMBTL or halfway album like Taking Chances

I'm always saddened to see the great misperception that you fans in the US have with her success there and think that same exact success was replicated at the same time in Europe, because you couldn't be more wrong. That success is very different depending on some albums (and it didn't replicate immediately with albums but only with certain and very specific singles like MHWGO or TTWII).

 

You were accostumed to see Celine's name in big letters everywhere with FIY and LTAL in the US at the time of their promotion, but that splendour and golden promo days she lived in the US were not as huge and same in Europe (but for the Titanic song again), and with albums like ANDHC she certainly lived an impact she never saw in Europe with the life of FIY or LTAL albums (and only because of that "Titanic song" the Celine hype in the US was echoed in Europe and everywhere. All the TV shows she visited with this album, and all the radio stations she was played with its singles, it was unthinkable with her previous albums. With the ANDHC album and it's HUGE promotion in Europe, Celine had a life of her own in Europe that before this album and TTWII was far from real here still

 

The truth is that the ANDHC album opened Celine the doors to a new young generation of fans and she never lived that with FIY or LTAL until TTWII arrived, and again, with the sole exception of MHWGO which was a song in everyone's ears, both young and old because of the planetary success of the movie.

 

Sadly, those doors were closed with a slam a year later in 2003, but the time she promoted this album, Celine ceased to be just "the singer of Titanic" and a name mainly associated with Titanic for a whole generation of teenagers and youngsters to be a pop singer that proved she could reach all audiences too with her voice, with a couple of singles being played everywhere on radios and clubs. She never got that in Europe before ANDHC!

Agreed! On a side note I don't understand why some people say that ''One Heart'' is inconherent, IMO the whole album has a fun and uplifting summery feel and it has a perfect mix of uptempo songs, midtempo songs and ballads.

I agree with you that songs that aren't hits have nothing to do with them being bad or less

since that Celine has many gems that are not that known to the masses

but I do find common elements in songs that can survive the test of time.

I'm sorry, it won't even going to happen with Sia nor with anyone else with her same music style.

I had never heard Alone before so I really enjoy her cover, it's one of my favorites from TC.

Me too! Alone is one of the best covers she had done. It’s different and beautifully made! Orchestral rock

A collaboration with Jonas Brothers would be very good. Celine takes advantage of this phase and collaborates with younger artists.

We have had no more info about the album that is worth the wait ( "Sia wrote songs for her"... duh so exciting ! She did it also in 2013!).

 

We can't even mention a song of her discography whatever the topic is as everybody will jump on it " oh this is good" ... "this was bad". Dude, you said it last month already?!

 

 

I need news from Céline and from people here.haha Tired to read the same things all over again.

 

Céline MUST hire a social media guy following her to start with. Her team is lame. Can't believe she even went to the HQ in NYC a few months back to thank them. What for?

 

I'm so afraid the album will include songs recorded 3 years ago. I mean it can be good if epic and timeless or revamped. But not the way it was current in 2016.

 

We want to know what is going on ! Why is everything kept so secret? Nobody - like no one beside us - has been waiting for it for 6 years... so what is the big deal they can't reveal anything ?

 

Another big disappointment if there ain't any collaboration with current artist or producer after all these months in the press spotlight ...

Sucker their comeback song was HUGE went #1 in its first few weeks, it was in the top 5 of the BBH100 for 18 weeks and is still in the top 15... also, their album also was a big success
