"Courage" album - Official Topic

Apparently she has said she recorded 45 songs and must choose.

 

In the Access interview last night she said she’s still recording a few things for the album and “tweaking”.

 

Maybe there's more songs that are coming that really fits for the new album..

Well, ideally I wish she would take a break and heal her voice. Not that it sounds all bad, but it does sound fatigued. Nothing wrong with admitting that. I think a year or two off would do wonders for her voice, but clearly that's not her priority.

 

I never knew how important a break would be. I remember thinking she was crazy back in 2000 when she took two years off before ANDHC. That was probably the best thing she ever did.

So I had many thoughts about "COURAGE" title and I actually really like it .. it sounds very "Dionic"

NYC Town hall (meaning authorities) didn't have enough courage to defend absolutely breathtaking "statement" art showing the courage of innocence, womanhood, goodwill and power to stand for the visibly weaker ones.

True that. Her 'live' broadcasts and the mic feed directly don't do her voice justice. It always sounds muffled.

 

 

 

 

I think youre the only one who thought her voice sounded bad. She sounded great, the audio was just dry and poor. Someone posted their live stream and it sounds way better with the natural reverb off of a theatre / microphone

Even on the 2016 Livestream she sounded muffled and dry even on the WDMHBN playback

 

It dries her voice out along with being generally poor audio quality. Fan recordings sound way better

Her voice last night is not good, she's struggling reaching the high notes and specially holding them, and that's only because she must be sick of singing the same damn songs month after month, year after year, without any break to forget about them.

You know what, I'm not concerned the least about promotion or success of the song. Now that we got it, now that she delivered one promising song, fresh, and current, I'm happy. I don't care if it's not a #1 hit, nor a single, nor if it has remixes. Some of my favourite songs of her never were singles, nor promoted, but are in some of her best albums made, and that's all what matters to me in the end The only concern I have is that she makes an album full of great songs and with the best production, and judging by this snippet she's going in the good direction (to me). The rest is secondary

I think it will be a modern and beautiful album! The uptempos will be dance and full energy and and I think the ballads will be in the vain of modern forms of “ I Know What Love Is” and “Have You Ever Been In Love”!

Yeah partially true but I mean when she does all those turns she's doing in PQTME and most obvious on the latest CHFIL performances in Vegas to the point of almost changing the song into another different one, that's only because she doesn't know what to do with the damn song so as she takes it to a good end before it becames evident she's singing it out of boredom because she has performed that song a thousand times already. I think with this turns she adds she's only trying to "disguise" her own boredom adding some free spins in the melody and vocals in order to still find something to be *excited* about singing the same song for the 1.327.486 time

Sometimes i think we forget the fact that shes a vocal artist, she interprets things. Rene always mad her stick to the original melody... soon after Rene passed she started getting very experimental vocally. Sometimes it doesnt sound great but she’s experimenting, interpreting... changing things not necessarily out of boredom but out of interest or what shes feeling

Yeah. Many artists record upwards of 40-50 songs per album. They then choose what they want to go with. Thats why Prince had such an extensive vault of songs, he would record like 50 tracks and wittle it down to 15.

Gosh I hope! It really does seem awkward to start a world tour, intended to promote a new album, before the album is even out!
